I thought Laboon was stupid and that the fight with Usopp was just satisfying.
I got a bit misty eyed when Bellemere died, and a few times during episode 126. Dunno why, though.
Your heart, where do you hide it?

That was four years ago, he should have found it by now.
For me, the saddest events were Tony Choppers past (especially Choppers naiveness and bringing him a poisened mushroom and the doctor just eating it, then dying.). He had one of the hardest childhoods.
Generally all of them were depressing.
Bon Kureis sacrifice recently was also sad but I think it was a bit rushed (only one chapter).
Pells one, too, but he lives, that cheapened it.
Robin's past. Especially about her mom.
Since I've always been really close to my mom that made me cry.
Choppers past. And Shushus story was oretty touching as well.
The first moment I recall that actually made me cry (not too sure about Nami's past) was Chopper's flashback. More recently, Merry's funeral also got me reaching for some kleenex, as well as the rendering of Bink's Sake by Brook and his dying nakama.
There are many more sad moments, but I guess those are the saddest ones to me.
I would say one of the saddest moment was after Luffy kicked Crocodile's ass. Vivi was just standing there with tears in her eyes, witnessing a cold blooded man who is nearly invisible, and caused Alabasta mental pain without them realizing it was just flying in the air unconcious, with dramatic orchestra music playing in the background. Despite all what Luffy did to Crocodile, everyone was trying to kill each other, only for a nearly injured Kaiza(I think thats his name) to feel rain drops on his hand, and later started pouring and then Vivi begged for them to stop fighting, only for everyone to drop their weapons.
When the Pell didnt die… back that desert hospital side story part.
The part when Going merry came back to fetch them for the last time T-T i get goosebump all over me while reading it and when Going Merry said thank you all, i have a wonderful time(smthing like that) and finally break apart, i shed some tears T-T
Brook's past, of all the past stories, that one broke my heart the most at the end of it when the crew dies 1 by 1 while playing music…
the second would be Robin's past. None of the other straw hat's stories, though depressing, haven't been enough for me compared to these two. I guess maybe Chopper's, since Dr. Hiluluk was a lovable character.
Another sad moment for me was when during Usopp and Luffy's fight, it looked like the going merry was crying... and when they actually had to burn it? wow... that was sad.
finally, and I know that this was just a filler that everyone hated, but when the thousand dragon in the Apis arc died, I cried my eyes out. The only reason I did that was becuase those dragons, as lame as they were, reminded me of my dog. So to see them die felt like watching my dog die X_x
only moment that made me kinda sad, was at the end of skypie arc, when eneru was defeated, and it was revealed that this eternal earth was actually moon. i cant explain why.
Well the kaya arc wasn't really sad just awesome. Most sad things in one piece are just to beautiful to call sad. I would have to say when Nami got her money stolen but it endedin a fight so it wasn't sad but uplifting. Saddest thing that me actually feeling kinda crummy was when Dr. Hililuk blew himself up and chopper was so mad but couldn't do anything.
You got to admit that One Piece's sad moments really make you feel better becuase you know that they never gave up and became a better person.
Chopper's past, Hiluluk was too awesome to die.
1 - Boa first appearance in the manga, we didn't know back then how sad for One Piece this moment really was. Now we cry.
2 - Arlong Park
1 - Choppers' past
2 - Luffy beating himself up when he lost his nakama !
3 - going merry funeral !
When Vivi couldn't go with the crew, the Going Merry's funeral, and when Usopp left the group. :cwy:
Going Merry
Bellemere
When Foxy and Dr. Hogback debuted.
For me it was
Goodbye to Going Merry
Usopp vs Luffy argue in the ship
Chopper giving the mushroom
End of Alabasta
Usopp's debacle with Luffy and his leaving the crew was the saddest it got for me. Just the sheer darkness of what was happening to the crew really affected me. In my opinion, the straw hats ARE the story, and when you have one run off and one leave the team, it really rocks the story.
the part when Franky was destroying marry and usopp was crying and shyt and really every time they showed usopp in the waters 7 arc when he was crying
and when merry was burned
@Chi:
When Vivi couldn't go with the crew
That was the happiest moment for me.
But yeah, when Robin was calling out to her mom when Spandine was taking her away, and the moment between them after that really got me feeling sad.
But yeah, when Robin was calling out to her mom when Spandine was taking her away, and the moment between them after that really got me feeling sad.
Yeah, I was crying once Robin was holding her mother's hand, saying "I've always wanted to do this."
When Shanks gotten his arm bitten off…
Even in death, you can still be a badass.
And in the end, all the manliest pirate ever wanted was a family, and his bastard coward of a "son" kills him…
Arlong Arc, Luffy places hit Straw Hat on top of Nami while she is in tears because of what is happening around her and what that hat means to Luffy.
Chopper's past
Luffy vs Usopp Fight
Usopp Apologizing
Brooke finding out Laboon is alive and well and still waiting
Zoro sacrificing himself to save the crew towards the end of the Thriller Bark Arc (which he ended up surviving)
Definitely the Nico Robin Arc. It was so sad man.
Chopper past, Ace death, and WB death for sure.
Also when there is no chapter on the week is also saddest OP moment for me.
Luffy vs Usopp. I swear I was crying with Luffy at the end of that ep.
Merry's funeral. I never thought I'd bawl over a ship.
Merrys funeral when the boat talked to them I cryed once it started talking.
Also when there is no chapter on the week is also saddest OP moment for me.
lol. So true. Op does that to you.
And I was reminded about the Go Merry by the above post. Yes, that was pretty sad. Brought me close to tears.
What was the saddest moments in One Piece?
1. Luffy's fight with Usopp. That beginning argument was sad.
I think the saddest part is where Luffy is sobbing saying, "Its heavy."
2. Luffy realizing Ace's death while at Amazon Lily.
3. Arlong Park, when Luffy snapped over Arlong saying he couldn't
use Nami as good as he could. The final moment where he tells
Nami she is his Nakama.
4. Brook relaxing on the Strawhat ship.
Episode 384 really made me tear up.
http://www.watchop.com/watch/538-one-piece-episode-384-english-subbed/
If you skip to 18:35 and watch for around 5 minutes it is really amazing.
When Brooks states how happy he is, and that he can finally rest.
5. Zoro taking on all of Luffy's pain.
When Kuma said that he will have to go through
hell for luffy. This wasn't as sad as it was emotional.
This happened right at the end of the Thriller Bark arc
6. Robin reuniting Olivia when she grabs her hand and says 'I always wanted to do this' and then her mom embraces her for the first time in years.
7. Dr. Hiruluk farewell speach 'this has been a truly wonderful life!' I always get chocked up when he calls Chopper his son.
8. Going Merry's funeral. I always get chills when Luffy strarts talking about how sorry he is and how he should have taken better care of her. "Merry, the bottom of the sea is dark and lonely, we will see you off here."
Dr. Hiruluk was THE best temporary character. I love when he was happy that the Doctors weren't sick.
Merry's funeral was sad but I think that the moments leading up to it were the hardest.
Hiruluk had such a good heart.
http://apforums.net/showthread.php?t=156&highlight=saddest+moment
Merry….....
Nami.......
Bellemere getting shot by far.
Sabo dieing.
Usopp telling his sick mom that dad was coming.
Brooke and his whole crew dieing.
Kaya slapping Usopp.
Zoro hearing about kuina dieing.
Robin being all alone
Franky having tom taken away.
Sanji finding out Zeff sacrificed his leg for him.Boa being a slave was horrible but I won't call it sad because I think Luffy helped her overcome it and I think she's stronger because of it. I think that more time with Luffy she'll be able to look a teryubito in the eye's and confront him.
Edit: Naw fuck it her being a slave is very sad.
When Oda announce a full month break. It tear my heart a part.
When an eight-year-old Robin finally reunites with her mother who initially pretends not to know who she is, then being scooped up in her arms with emotions galore. Then she watches the embodiment of her only passion in life get burned to the ground. Then she watches her only friends suffer the same fate. Then she watches helplessly as the man who taught her how to laugh get frozen to death in front of her very eyes. Then she is sent off, defenseless, all by herself, with the only home she's ever known burning down behind her. And to top it all off, trying her hardest to stifle out a miserable, overwhelmingly broken laugh that leads into uncontrollable sobbing. Yeah, I'd say that moment was maybe, just maybe, a bit of a tear-jerker.
Second to that, I'd say Nami and Nojiko watching their loving mother get shot down by a racist tyrant who would have let her live had she not loved her daughters so much that she would rather be killed than pretend for a minute that they didn't exist. Takes the silver medal with flying colors.
And the bronze goes to the death of the Going Merry. The ship that cared for the crew as much as, if not more than any human even could. What really made this moment for me is Sogeking's "tears should not be involved" line, followed by, moments later, a steady stream of water rushing down from underneath his mask.
The scene where Iceburg confronts Cutty Flam about keeping safe the blueprints for the Pluton definitely deserves an honorable mention. I dunno why, but the whole "I said I'd never forgive you, but I still need to trust you" thing got me good.
And fifth, watching the entire Rumbar crew drop dead one by one while playing Bink's Sake for an unforgotten friend was an amazing display of emotion.
I cried so much when Merry died the first time I watched it. The tears just came pouring.
Arlong Park would have been sadder to me had I not been thinking "fishmen are so awesome, what a waste to make them villains!" the entire time. But I keep aquariums and I love my fish so that just should have made me an exception. I'm really glad Oda reversed the situation at Saobody. When Hachi was shot and he begged Luffy to leave him there was really tragic to me. I'm sure we will get a big tearjerker regarding fishmen slavery when we get to Fishman Island as well.
Brooke's past I think could have been handled better, but when you think about it you could easily argue it was on par on Robin's when it comes to sadness. At least Robin was able to keep human contact, as brief and awful as it was. Brooke was completely alone with nothing but the bones of his dead nakama to keep him company for 50 years. That's just unimaginable.
Ace's Death (Arguably, THE saddest scene in One Piece)
Kuma defeating the Straw Hats (If that isn't an indication of things getting worse, I don't know what is)
Akainu arresting Bonney (the other reason why I hate him)
Most of Water Seven and Enies Lobby had scenes that brought me to almost crying. Usopp and Luffy's duel over Merry, the moment everyone realizes that the CP9 are manipulating Robin, Robin's backstory, Franky telling Usopp that Merry can't be saved, and the scenes where Spandam is abusing Robin. That is a beautiful arc.
Don't know if this is included, but the new opening always brings me to tears. It's so sad, and the fact that this opening will open the episodes where Whitebeard and Ace die makes the song EVEN sadder.
Edit:
The scene toward the end of the Alabasta arc where Vivi is trying to get the rebel army to stop fighting is very heartwrenching.

im sorry, akainu arresting bonney is sad?
@Dofla:
im sorry, akainu arresting bonney is sad?
It's sad, because Bonney is one of my favorite characters, and I don't want her to die and/or rot away in Impel Down.

If Ace's death was so sad why did he die smiling
I agree Bonney getting arrested was sad. She was very upset when whitebeard died and got her ass whupped by the blackbeard pirates. All she probably got in was a sorry little kick and through all her efforts she was arrested in times where things already suck. I would have liked BB more if he let her go before the admirals came.
Bonney's mystery is what I like best about her besides the fact that she's large and in charge smart and reckless at the same time. I hope she becomes a main charcter like Buggy or BB.
Well, these aren't the saddest moments in OP, but these all did make me cry at some point or another.
-Zoro's past
-Sanji's past
-Nami's past
-Kokoyashi village knowing about Nami's deal with Arlong and going to fight anyway
-Nami being willing to regather all that money
-Nami stabbing her arm and begging for help from Luffy
-Chopper's past
-Usopp trying to convince his dying mom that Yasopp had actually came and continues to tell that lie until he joined the StrawHats
-Kaya and Merry realizing that Usopp was actually trying to save them but they scorned him instead
-Chopper seeing the cherry blossoms
-The Strawhat's goodbye to Vivi
-Pell willing to die (although he didn't) to protect Vivi and Alabasta
-Usopp's will to defend Luffy's dream during his fight with Mr 4 and Merry Christmas
-Robin saying that her dream has too many ememies and was willing to just die then and there
-Norland and Calgara's past
-Luffy's message getting to Cricket
-Seeing Wiper yell at Luffy to ring the bell, and seeing the Skypeians and Shandorans happily together partying
-Usopp broken and beaten, whispering how he was completely useless, and still tried to get back the money
-Usopp vs. Luffy with Merry crying
-Usopp admiting that Merry was going to die and finding out about the Klabataurman
-Nami's desperate pleas to Luffy during W7
-Franky's past
-Iceburg saying that though he doesn't forgive Franky, he's still glad Franky's alive
-Robin's wish during W7
-Robin's past
-Robin saying 'I want to live,' and her clinging onto hope that she'll be saved
-Merry's funeral
-Brook's happiness at finally meeting living people
-Brook's past
-Laboon's promise
-Hachi's pleas for Luffy not to fight even after he'd been shot and Nami's tears
-The StrawHat seperation and Luffy's depression in being unable to protect his friends
-Bon Clay screaming for Luffy to get better
-Bon Clay's sacrifice
-Mr. Three wanting to honor Bon Clay's request for Luffy to resue his brother
-Rouge's sacrifice for Ace
-Ace crying when seeing so many people who care about him
-Garp's sadness at having to fight his family
-Garp vs. Luffy
-Ace dying
-Whitebeard dying
-Dadan crying at Ace's death
-Luffy's past
-Luffy waking up and saying that he isn't strong enough to become the pirate king, as well and just destroying everything around him in sadness while Jimbie has to snap Luffy out of it
-Luffy remembering he still has his friends
To sum it up, I am a gigantic overly sensitive crybaby who sheds tears for the silliest of reasons.
I think that's it… although there's probably more that I missed. This is off the top of my head.
Bellemere and Dr Hiruluk always make me cry literally
For me one of the saddest moments in One-PIece was as Moria talked about his great loss of nakama against Kaidou…and how he suffered from this...It made me shiver ;A;
But nevermind, i know there are much more sadder moments in One-Piece, like Namis past, but still the Moria one get into my mind the most...
Bellemere's death and when Nami told luffy to help her….
Calgara and Norland :cwy::cwy::cwy:
Brook's past made my eyes water but when i saw Binks' sake i shed a couple of tears....
Brook's Past tears me up every time. One of the few things that the Anime completely blows the manga away on.
Obviously when the manga will end.
-When Ace died smiling. Ace is too amazing T^T Yeah, I cried forever and
-Luffy's reaction to Ace dying. Oh Luffy, how I love you being angsty
-and when Luffy said he wanted to see his nakama after Ace's death
-The separation of the Strawhats. I hated that so much
-Strawhats losing and retreating from the Pacifistas
-Zoro sacrificing himself for the crew at Thriller Bark. And him standing bloody after taking Luffy's pains o.o or practically all of Ch. 485. This chapter also sent lots of shivers down my spine.
-Practically all of Water 7/Enies Lobby/CP9 arc. I just.. blah. Luffy vs Usopp, Robin leaving the crew and Spandam totally abusing her and being an arse. And all of Ch. 398
-I think I cried sometime during the Skypiea arc. But I can't remember why XD I think it was during Eneru's evil sick game of having everyone against each other. And then the last fight against Eneru and Luffy
-All the times Luffy gets beaten by Crocodile, even if Crocodile is my favorite villain, it still made me cry XD I don't know why though o.o I'm just a baby
-When the Strawhats show Vivi their x marks. Idk, pure nakamaship like that just makes me cry. It was bittersweet.
-Going Merry's funeral. Just too sad D:
-When Luffy almost dies in Impel Down. Fricken crazy straw hat kid >_>
-Nami stabbing herself and then Luffy helping her. Idk, that made me tear up a bit.
-Oh, and for some reason, the speech Zoro gives Chopper when he is forced to become a Foxy Pirate made me tear up o.O
-When Sabo leaves Ace and Luffy and then the huge fire and Ace staying with Dadan (i think?) to fight off those bandits or whatever.
-A lot of the stuff towards ending the war in Arabasta. Like when Vivi is yelling for everyone to stop and they all just keep fighting and the cliche "reaching to stop the huge bomb thing" within the last few seconds
-Robin and her mom. Just that whole scene was heart wrenching
I'm pretty much a overly-sensitive crybaby. Most of these aren't really sad, but they made me cry/ tear up ^o^;;
