I don't quite understand what your beef with the story is… care to explain some more...
Well, early on in the spoiler thread I said that if the Blackbeard stuff was true, I would wave goodbye to expecting interesting storytelling for the rest of Impel Down, and so I just did.
Brennen pretty much summarized the basis of my feelings. While I know a lot of us initially were opposed to a Rescue Ace storyline, and I myself did not care all that much for the timing, I considered that we could still get some interesting looks at the history of their family and some other juicy details about the world. Basically, this arc would focus on the two brothers, and we'd get the usual intense character-driven action that we all know and love.
I, overall, enjoyed the beginning of Impel Down, despite its flaws. I enjoyed following Team Baroque, enemies thrown togther, who hate each other, forced to work together and cooperate to stay alive. I enjoyed watching their personalities bounce off of each other and such. I was pumping my fist in the air when they took down Minotaurus.
Since then, however, the story has dissolved into a massive, free-for-all, fanserving brawl. Team Broken simply plowing through everything has killed much of my interest, and Oda seems to have set aside any interesting character development or interaction in favor of ''How can I make things bigger, more over-the-top than before?'' As I have said many times recently, it's a good crowd pleaser, considering how many people have been spouting the word ''epic'' and worshipping Oda as if he were a physical god, but it does not necessarily make for the greatest storytelling in the world. I like my action just as much as the next guy, especially since Oda draws them so well, bt not when it's so pathetically easy for the good guys. It removes the tension and the drama.
I'm hoping that something happens soon that radically shakes things up for our prison breaking crew so we can actually gte some good drama. And as much as I don't care for yet another big name coming into the fray, Blackbeard may be that person. Shiryuu too.
I just hope that the Marineford arc makes up for the chaotic mess that Impel Down has turned into.

but know that BB and his crew are there, what purpose do they have there because Ace is gone,anyway i hope (Oda) makes it interesting what ever it is. i wouldn't mine seeing a Shiyuu Vs Blackbeard fight, infact i want to what the deal with that Shiyuu guy he seem crazy strong.
