She made Shickibukai because she kicked so much ass after one campaign. She cut all ties to her slavehood when she escaped. i rather like how we're delving into the past of a Shickibukai and that they're not just monsters but have human pasts too but that's just me:/
Oh and she'd be wearing sea stone obviously.
And about this rape issue. The fact that Hancock was raped when she was a slave is one those realistic, obvious stuff that Mr. Oda would never show or admit it's happening but can be taken as a logical occurrence in a real-life scenario. Like Straw Hat harem on the Sunny :D

To add to my thoughts, I think Boa's pretty generic. She's just a combination of the spoiled princess and Mary Sue archetypes. I like her in One Piece because of how other characters mingle with her (Luffy's complete apathy, mainly), but not as a standalone character.
