We all know that the ending will be this: Naruto wakes up in his bed, once again he's twelve and has fallen asleep wearing his orange jumpsuit, he looks around his room and thinks : that was a strange dream , get's his shoeandles (shoe sandles) on and walks out of his appartment and into the bright sun at the bottom it reads: And it was all a dream of a young man who will one day die in war and never become hokage. There will be a signature underneath this that will read: Masashi Kishimoto (in english)

I just hope it explains what the hell happened to Rin. Kakashi implies that she died, but her death was never shown nor mentioned by any other character. Obito we see die when he's crushed by the rock, and it's even hinted that Madara is using his body at the moment, but for Rin, we've got nothing. It's kinda like Naruto's mom… we hear all about Minato and what not, but Kushina just kind of faded into obscurity after giving birth to Naruto.

I'm not quite sure where you're going with this but the fact that in the Wonderful Land of Make-Believe she may be more than an ANBU who happened to take off her mask doesn't change the reality not one jot.

Although it's probably just because he draws all faces alike, but I have a bad feeling that Rin is Sakura's Aunt… if the Animated version of the Gaiden shows her with pink hair, that'll cinch it.

don't go far to ahead now, it might be a possibility. the pink hair gene isn't really known to be heriditary or not because for some reason through out the whole series we haven't seen sakura's parents and they are not even dead and we at least seen naruto's and saskues parents. so there is no excuse of why they haven't been shown yet

I don't think saying she is "most likely not related to Sakura" is getting ahead of myself at all. She's less likely to be related to Sakura, for example, than to be related to Kiba, if those facial markings are any indication.

If Sakura knew that the legendary Kakashi was in the same team as a dead relative of hers we'd probably have found out by now. Kakashi would definitely have mentioned something to her like "I'm sorry I couldn't protect your aunt," or something along those lines, as much as he beats himself up over Obito (and presumably Rin's deaths), instead of pretty much not training her at ALL.

Virtually every child in this series has inherited the hair color of their parents. The male children all have their dad's hair, and the female children all have their mom's hair as far as we've seen.

To start talking about dominant and recessive hair genes in order to support some baseless relative theory is getting ahead of oneself… imo.

Rin is actually the main character of the series. Everything thus far with Naruto and Sasuke? Just prelude to the real story. She's actually been in the background of EVERY chapter, but she's such a badass ninja, she's perfectly blended in with the scenery so we didn't notice. All the akatasuki we think Naruto has killed? Actually been Rin doing a copy jutsu to look like Naruto. Can't have it be known how awesome she is, after all, then she'd be targetted. Naruto himself is just one massive illusion she concocted and has easily maintained for the last 15 years, that gained amnesia and lost sight of the fact that it was a copy. (sorta like Cloud in FF7, only slightly more annoying) Even Juraiya and Kakashi didn't know the truth. Naruto has gained self awareness, so Rin's hesitant to drop the charade. But, in the upcoming true fight, she will be hit, and Naruto, along with the rest of the village will be surprised as he poofs out of existance, as if he never was.

9 tailed fox? Yeah. She killed it. But elaborate ninja reasons dictate she make the world think it still exists in Naruto. Again, just a construct.

Rin's taking over in 27 more chapters, and its going to be awesome.

while looking at that page and chapter made me remember one of the few great stories he wrote, yet the anime never animated it

I personally think it started to fall apart myself after the Chuunin Exams, from the point Itachi finally appeared. There were weak moments prior to then and there were some good moments after that (some of the Sound 5 fights) but it was just a downhill slope to crap by that point. (then again this is from a person who never really liked the series)

! Yahiko committing suicide? Really did not see that coming, yet I feel does it matter anymore? All this chapter does for me is establish that Konan is as useless as speculated, and flip flopped Yahiko's character from unlikable to sorta likable in one chapter. Happy for the development of Danzou though. Interesting how far the organization got though.

Chiyo was useless as well. She was another female support type. She had no physical attack strength herself so she had to puppeteer Sakura to fight Sasori. Then she was basically another medical ninja as well since she knew a jutsu that saved Gaara's life in exchange for her's.

I don't remember the details, but I think Haku was chiding Naruto for being soft and not going for the kill from the start.

Yeah: Haku wants Naruto to kill him, but ends up dying anyway to protect Zabuza from Kakashi's Raikiri. Either way, he still dies. (but at least it allows Zabuza to live long enough to have his much cooler death)

I see. Any idea in which chapter that happened? I'll try to look it up myself but it would still be far easier if I'd know about which numbers sound right.

Edit: Found it myself. But this isn't really such a scene as I had it in mind. I couldn't find any "finish it" request from the bad guy.
