Epic chapter. Chinjao is awesome, and Bartolomeo just made my day just pissing into the arena water
LMAO, that mofo is just rude all around. Pissing in the arena pool. LMAO.

As it has been mentioned many times already I think Bellamy is going to win his block. I think he evolution/upgrade will be the difference. He will be stronger this time he fights Lucy but still loose. I sure hope they spend a good amount of time on Lucy's fight, I wonder what happened once Luffy left Skypeia. Are they alright, how much of a change of heart did Bellamy have,
CP-0 huh, they look pretty sick. I wonder how the numbering goes in the CP division. The military has some pretty SICK powers under there control, I am interested to see if they are strong or just fodder. I would love to see what this CP group is capable of. I am only seeing 3 though, and these aren't even trying to hide there existence. CP-9 was a myth. I must say the world that Oda has created continues to see larger and larger each chapter.
Could you imagine going on a car ride as a kid with him. WHAT we are here already, hell we just got introduced to all the characters.
After reading this chapter I get the feeling this world is so much larger than say Naruto. Based off the fact you have various people on islands, but you also have well known clans/families in this world. In my mind I almost think of it as having a world within a world. Sure your strong but tread carefully that guy is X person of a particular family. I am sure they will have special abilities that are only found within a family, that can possibly rival a DF user.
Any idea why Frankie was pictured twice on the color page? Also who is that is the top right corner of the color spread in green and the person in the top left in black? I don't know I am just so lost on the color spread, Kid had one of his crew listed, yet other captain's did not. Don't know if I am digging to deep or what? I think I see a future namaka. SMILE.
Good chapter Toy soldier is looking awesome… Still mad at Sanji being an idiot
Are you seriously mad, Sanji is always an idiot. He is serious when he needs to be, so I don't mind the comic relief right now
@Enzeru:
Sanji…not that nosebleed crap again. You were so badass recently, don't ruin it.
Um that is just manga, when a super horny guy sees a woman they ALWAYS get nosebleeds. Also this wasn't a tense situation why not give him a few nosebleeds.
@Dawsie:
I like that he asks franky if he wants the fruit. He will prob give it to someone he meets at end of arc
LMAO. But if Franky wants to swim why not make himself transform into a submarine or something. I guess Luffy doesn't know you can have two DF abilities or is Blackbeard a special case.
I wonder if Usop would eat the fruit, the only thing is he is always getting knocked into the water for one reason or another.
Franky doing the enforcer thing looked awesome, DD´s men, like all of them till now, look awesome, Zoro being a mini Mihawk not so awesome
I don't get why you don't like Zozo being a mini Mihawk?
@Grey:
Oh, and Marco and the rest should come to claim the fruit theirs.
Marco and the rest would probably give the fruit to Luffy anyways if they saw him there.
@javimgol:
I'm 200000% sure that Sanji is going to fight Señor Pink (Mister in Spanish is Señor, with Ñ, not N). Why? Because Oda said that Sanji's design was inspired in Buscemi's role in Reservoir Dogs, and the name of Buscemi in that movie is Mister Pink/Señor Rosa in Spanish.
If Oda did say that, then great catch on your part.
@Tainted:
So I get the feeling an "anomaly" is going to get the Mera Mera no mi… either by stealing it or having it "fall into their lap" throughout the course of the arc.
Uusopp. LMAO
I think that hanging out in the Manga section of the forums will probably spoil you too much on the story… You should try reading the Manga from the beginning, or at least from the Water 7 arc forward. We're already past chapter 700, though, so I can understand if that seems like a daunting task.
The five old guys you are talking about are the "Elder Stars" and are, as far as we know, the leaders of the world government. No one really knows what their fighting strength could be, but there has been a lot of speculation.
In regards to your question about why people think the Strawhats will have a certain number of crewmates: I think the main evidence is that Luffy said he wanted to collect about 10 crew mates at the beginning of his journey.
Beyond that, people have speculated matching each of the Strawhat pirates up against one of the Blackbeard pirates (you know Blackbeard, right?).TL;DR: Leave the Manga section soon before you get spoiled too much on this awesome story! Keep watching the Anime, though, if you like. I know some people really enjoy it.
I guess I should clarify myself, I am very up to date on the manga. I read every chapter every Wednesday sometimes Thursday. I started reading One Piece right before the 4 week hiatus, once I caught up to that chapter. Perhaps my questions would make more sense to ask in the anime section since I am basing my questions off the anime. Some animes don't follow the manga completely.
I am new to One Piece but I am not that new. Since I am watching old anime episodes I am forgetting about the later cast members. I am watching the Water 7 arc currently. Even still during most fights someone or possible two individuals are usually tied up with other pressing matters. So you can cancel out 2 people from taking part in the fight against the latest villian but 4 or 5 people being taken out of the main fight seems like overkill.
I figured I would ask here, what makes people think the SH's will get another crewmate. As I watch the Water 7 arc, I came across a part where it shows all the "old white guys" in charge of the world government. There are 5 of them, I would say it is a pretty good chance that the SH's will eventually face them. These guys stand for "justice" and are in charge of all that is "good" with the world government. Currently the numbers are in the SH's favor 7 members compared to 5 old white guys.
Arabasta is definitely my favourite. Least favourite would have to be either Davy Back Fight (terrible villain, useless plot, dragged in the anime) or Buggy's arc. Early One Piece was pretty boring in general, but Buggy's arc takes the cake for the worst part of East Blue.
The anime handled FI & Marineford terribly too, but they still outclass Buggy & DBF.
I'll never understand the hate for Skypiea. Loved that arc.
Davy Back Fight is so ANNOYING, I am currently watching it. I am getting so pissed, I am like why don't the SH pirates cheat also such a STUPID arc so far.
Easily best damn panel or page in the last 100+ chapters is Tashigi's monologue regarding Zoro and the Strawhats as Zoro's back is turned walking away. As if he didn't look tight as hell destroying a logia user but her amazement at his power. SICK.
As I am re-reading this chapter I am starting to think Zoro perhaps isn't attacking Monet yet, because he wants to see if he can learn anything from her. I think about all his previous fights, he has learned various levels of cutting and moves, perhaps he is thinking she might have some skill he can borrow and refine. A long shot but perhaps something he picked up training under Mi-Hawk.
Group owining fights don't count.That's why Odz also don't count.
But seriously,Robin needs 1 on 1 hard fight.She look really weak for a long time now.Edit:
I think she is stronger than Chopper, I get so upset with his fights because he is always getting beat.
The Smoker and Vergo (that better not be interrupted Oda, don't make me sad) should clarify and explain a lot of things about haki, Vergo's DF if he has one, rokushiki, and the Marines. This would be Smoker's first leap in character development…ever.
We got a tiny bit when Smoker was training with that female marine.
EDIT:
His demeanor as well as the "cool shades" and the way he takes and deals damage does make me thin it may be something related to Pacifistas.
Perhaps Caesar's own take on the technology?
Perhaps, except Caesar doesn't give any indication that he is Vergo's creator.
I REALLY AM GETTING ANNOYED OF LUFFYS STUPIDITY… even after the 2 years of training, and Zoro just recently telling him to get his shit together, because this is
the new world.
He has the observation haki.. is focused in battle yet makes such silly mistakes
But that is just the Luffy we all know, he is going to be silly and goofy until things get real. I was recently watching the CP9 arc, when things got serious so did Luffy. If Luffy did anything else in a time like this, I would fear he might "jump the shark."
@The:
I'm pretty sure there will be a "wake-up call moment" when Luffy and crew try to take on Big Mam and crew. I foresee a devastating loss, which, will wake Luffy up (and any other cocky Strawhat's).
Has this happened before prior to the time skip, if so I don't recall it. The closets I can recall would be when he fought CP9, because he had to come up with a new move.
I thought it was weird that flamingo was so over powered from the beginning, even compared to the other shichibukai (minus mihawk). My guess is he's got the equivalent power of an emperor; both in terms of personal strength and overall group strength. he has the an underground net working for him and what seems to be a extremely powerful crew.
Why do you think he is OP, he seems to be on par with a emperor. He dodged an attack and took an attack at close range, I would expect nothing less from him since Luffy can do all that.
We havn't seen Luffy go all out yet post-timeskip, so I think that statement may jump the gun slightly. (Also, I assume you mean Blackbeard)
True, when we see Luffy go all out he finds a way to win. Crocodile, Moira, Rob Lucci, etc… I don't think he will get by Don Flamingo without going all out, I think it would be highly unlikely he could turn around and go all out against a Admiral without a large span for him to get stronger, ie time skip.
As the chapters tick by, and the bad guys get more powerful is it safe to say we might have a second time skip. I know Luffy is strong but to take on an Admiral seems pretty far out of his reach. Also the idea of taking on Brown Beard.
pretty sure Monet is the next Nakama now
I hope not she seems kind of weird to me. I would prefer her not to join.
@goty:
Interesting chapter. i have a feeling we're gonna get a Law vs Smoker, round 2.
I doubt it since Law is still pulling Smoker's strings. I hope Smoker was thinking up a way to fight Law because he was easily defeated the first time.
@Monkey.D.Joeru:
Good to see Luffy wasn't outclassed by smoker as that was smoker's max speed. Good fight, though I find it hard to believe characters in OP of Luffy's level would be instantly incapacitated by a lack of oxygen around them.
I am confused by your last statement, Luffy wasn't incapacitated by the lack of oxygen.
@Smudger:
After all the most interesting thing we have seen in this arc so far is the creation of a devil fruit.
MAN I might need to re-read this arc because I don't remember a new DF being created.
**so two years of study/training or improvement for Robin and Franky = taken out by a logia user without a fight?
never expect them to pose any serious challenge agianst logia user or carrys out counterattack to inflict any notable wounds upon** logia user
but not like that–--as they were powerless when they confronted Kizaru two years ago
Well it seems Robin never saw armaments before until Luffy used it, so she might not know how to hit a logia user.
CC said that it could not be help since "COOL" Brothers' opponents are the Straw Hats & Law. Does this mean he know Law is back-stabbing him :-?
Yeah I was wondering that also, I guess he is aware that Law is double crossing him.
I cut the explosion too
Yeah that is pretty sick, he cut the FREAKING explosion. I can't even imagine how Zoro will use that move once he learns it.
Besides being a weird girl what exactly do we know about the character that makes her worth joining other then being eyecandy?
Blink, blink. Does she need any other reason to join?
… Sadly we can't spot the bounties
D@MN the bounties, I would like to see her buried treasure in her locked away in her treasure chest. SMILE.
WOW Law, didn't know you were that strong. Also Smoker-san has been training, his attacks were very well thought great use of his DF ability. I don't think Smoker stands much of a chance if he fights Luffy with his current power. I think Luffy has definitely eclipsed Smoker in these 2 years, especially after receiving training from Rayleigh. As someone said yeah it looks like Smoker is the equivalent of the up and coming rookies, however I thought those young punks Garp is looking after were supposed to be in league with Luffy, pre-timeskip.
Oda's reluctance to kill a character is why I love One Piece. I am actually allowed to like a character that is not part of the main cast without him randomly dying. What makes One Piece even better is that unlike some mangas, it does not kill off every villain in every arc, in fact the only major characters to die were good guys!
I think it is very hard to do this in a manga and that he walks a fine line, because when you read Bleach your like man nobody ever dies in this manga. I commend Oda for creating characters we like to see loose but not want to see die. kudos to him.
I predict there will be another time skip, before they get to Rafltel.
No one ever dies from a stomach stab in one piece but…. that's a big trident. Anyways I can't wait to see this chapter in the anime. Whoever thought that van der decken would join. I would say that his power is too over powered and besides his devil fruit power he seems somewhat useless.
Has anyone ever been stabbed in the stomach, let alone by a trident before now. I guess the closets to being impaled or stabbed would be Ace by that evil, evil man.
@TheManWithNoName:
Hodi is weak, but that doesn't make him a bad villain.
And by weak, I mean when compared to the Straw Hats, obviously.
I think you mean the new Straw Hats, there are going to be a LOT of people that are going to be considered weak to them now. There apparent growth in power is quite incredible, seeing as how this is just Luffy's normal attacks doing this much damage. Hodi would have been a decent villian before the time skip but since Luffy is so strong it is almost like he is boring, he sucks, he is an Arlong clone. The fishmen have been mistreated time and time again, heck Arlong was there with Hodi to hear what humans did to there former captain. Who wouldn't want to get back at the establishment that has mistreated them.
Also long shot but we could not have a new crew member for SH, Luffy could ask the princess and she can just refuse like the old man did who is caring for Laboon.
Hodi's "Sword" is pretty cool actually.
Yeah that is a pretty bad fin, I don't know if that is his sword since he stabs VDD with appears to be a trident.
@metteminne:
Am I the only one who doesn't understand Hody now?
What don't you understand Hodi is under the impression that if he kills VDD then the ship will hopefully fall and burst the bubble. If the bubble bust all the humans and some of the inhabitants would be washed away, leaving Hodi to build his empire from scratch. Make sense now. I wasn't surprised that he stabbed him, it did cause me to raise an eyebrow that it happened so fast. I am curious as to whether through training you can build endurance to fight in water as a devil fruit user. True it has been one of the "laws" within One Piece but can't all rules be broken more or less. I ask because as the princess brother said they were no match for Hodi, how will Luffy attack Hodi underwater within a bubble.
Oh yeah by the way first time visitor, I started reading One Piece right before the time skip. I just started watching the anime, currently on the Crocodile arc.
