ch 43
Good Guy Uraratarou reminds me of Luffy, epecially that big grin at the end.
"I want you to teach me how to take a life."
Damn, Emma ain't playing no games. She's ready to straight bust a cap in some demon ass.
@The:
The other 4 statues were revealed, and they are, in fact, the Black Council of Thanos.
Never heard of them, they suppose to be the Ginyu Force of Thanos's army or something similar?
Pelosi becoming accidental president is hilarious but she's so despised that the GOP would rebound immediately from Trump's impeachment.
Personally, I think Caroline Kennedy becoming the 1st female President would be incredibly cool to see.
Chiming in from the high seas because this news is absolutely deserving of being mentioned here and also because it's a little personal to me being a fellow sailor and all:
7 Navy sailors were killed when a large container vessel collided with the USS Fitzgerald, severely damaging much of the ship's starboard side, as well as serious damage below the waterline; resulting in several compartments being flooded.
The crew saved the ship from sinking, but seven sailors became trapped in the flooded berthing compartments, and will never return home to their families from deployment.
Please take a few moments out of your day to read about their lives. My thoughts and condolences to their loved ones, this was a terrible tragedy that could have been avoided.

Fair winds & Following Seas.
Those demons caught up to the children terrifyingly fast, wasn't expecting an impending confrontation so soon. The first day after their escape isn't even over yet!
A very rare pic of me considering I never post here, from yesterday's advancement ceremony.

Last of Us Part II, Tomb Raider, and Spiderman are all I care about, with Last of Us 2 being the most critical.
BREAKING: After a sporadic three year hiatus, Rei Hiroe's BLACK LAGOON has officially returned with a New Chapter Release!!!
http://readms.net/r/black_lagoon/88/4277/2
As possibly the biggest Black Lagoon fan on this forum, I'm very pleased that my quintessential favorite manga series is continuing.
This weeks episode of Izombie was great as usual. Liv as an preschool teacher were some of the funniest moments in the series so far.
Clive stopping Liv from using the sock puppet to comfort that grieving man was the funniest moment of season 3 so far.
Another scene that were great was the "Escochar means to listen" bit
Hooboy. The new Time Magazine cover.
Poignant and impactful without a single word printed.
I love it.
It seems like there's a new development in the Russia investigation. I'm not sure how this'll affect things.
Former FBI Director Mueller Appointed Special Counsel To Oversee Russia Probe
How reputable and independent is Mueller to lead this investigation?
Don't know his story.
its taking a loooot of them with it. To prison most likely.
A beautiful fantasy, and one that I would love to see happen in reality, but actual prison sentences for republican congressmen aside from maybe one or two small-fry scapegoats sounds like a pipe dream, unfortunately.
Reputedly it was him showing off how important he was by talking about and revealing the information he's privy to.
And yet he calls Comey the showboat.
I'm not trusting a DC trailer after suicide squad.
No hype here, I'll wait for the reviews.
Sean Spicer: It’s not always possible to provide accurate information at press briefings because Trump is sooo busy.

–- Update From New Post Merge ---
It's the Seducing Woods all over again.
Reminds me more of adventures in Upper Yard with all the huge twisting trees.
This series is great because I legitimately have no idea what to expect next.
Some Izombie news, Izombie will be getting an 4th season.
I've been a die-hard fan of iZombie since Season 1, so this is fantastic news.
Rose McIver's performance as Liv is hilarious, heartwarming, and one of my favorite television females.
Fuckin' idiot, how do you "accidentally" load a live round? 
The loss of wildlife because of gross negligence is always tragic.
Everyone NEEDS to go see & support Colossal.
Amazing, amazing, amazing.
It's in Jump, right? Probably not 'til next week. :(
Yeah, the last chapter really left me hanging on a cliff.
So was there not a chapter this week?
Almost 100 days in, and Trump's approval rating is the lowest amongst any president in 70 years.
So which tobacco industry executive will be named Surgeon General?
Most likely Aaron Eckhart, he's got quite the popular public image :ninja:
Official Trailer for Cloak & Dagger, a new upcoming Marvel televison series:
I think I saw Kevin Bacon there (as a corrupt detective?) so looks promising, BUT the trailer implies that the show will focus quite heavily on teenage drama, and might be light on their actual super-powers/war on crime; which would be a disappointment. Additionally, it's not a Netflix-produced marvel show, but then again Iron Fist was and that sucked, so….
Fox news poised to axe Bill O' Riley amid the sexual harassment allegations.
Their decision to purge him from the network is expected to be made official later this week:

Phil is Selim Bradley :ninja:
And this series gets better and better with each chapter. I'm LOVING it
[qimg]https://pbs-h2.twimg.com/media/C8m17TSXcAIXu2o.jpg[/qimg]
Yeah so are we going to be duking it out with North Korea or something?
Because that would affect me,
Being in the Navy and all.
Hands down, this chapter was more exciting and enjoyable than One Piece this week.
! Emma severing her ear to lead Mama astray reminded me of when Lan Fan severed her arm and attached it to that dog to make Bradley chase the wrong trail. Quite clever and brave, Emma is definitely not someone to be underestimated. Hell, they're all little badasses.
! I'm gleefully pumped to see the magnitude of Norman's plan and how much it'll fuck Mama's operations up (I saw the pen in the the last panel!)
Legit hostess clubs in Japan are simply just paying for a female's company and for her (overpriced) drinks. Hostesses themselves may choose whether to become truly intimate with a customer but that is outside their business life. That's why hostesses are so attractive to customers. Customers believe that if they can truly capture a hostess' affections, they may be able to legitimately date them.
So almost exactly like how Strip clubs operate, but without the nudity.
That would be career suicide for Oda to do that in his comic.
Not sure if this needs further explanation, but out of simple curiosity's sake, how so? Is Oda forbidden by his editors from introducing more seinen/mature elements into his story?
http://resistancereport.com/class-war/mike-pence-tiebreaker-healthcare/
Mike Pence casts tiebreaking vote to deny women healthcare. Because of course he does.
Literally a DAY after Trump bragged about his "cabinet full of women" at the Women's empowerment event, his administration pulls this shit.
The White House is calling for immediate budget cuts of $18 billion from programs like medical research, infrastructure, and community development grants to help pay for Trump's border wall:
…Yeah, that ain't happening
Whoooooh .
I'm taking it with a grain of salt until multiple reliable sources are confirmed.
Dear God…
Wow that does not look enjoyable. At all.
The DC cinematic universe is the equivalent to a dumpster fire at this point.
Trump oh so tactfully reflects during an interview with Time magazine reporter about the many falsehoods & scandals of his presidency:
Trump: Hey look, I guess I can't be doing so badly, because I'm president, and you're not."
A rather appropriate gif.
Fucking dammit, how many times is this series going to do this?
What about that fucking pen? How much more does poor Emma have to suffer until that comes into play?
! since she spent the 2nd half of the season caringly integrating him into the company.
! That he then proceeded to almost run his father's company into the ground with zero business experience and idiotic naive idealism ("selling the drugs at cost"). Hell, the first four episodes were about him wanting to be a part of his company soooo damn much, then he spends the rest of the season dodging vital board meetings, leaving the Meachums to do all the damage control, and looking so annoyed and sulking whenever he's forced to show up!
I liked the actor who played Harold though.
I had a mini mind-explosion when I realized that he was Carl from Van Helsing lol

Somebody went to the movies and saw John Wick 2.
Man, when Trump is out, the next Democrat pres and the supreme court are going to pass so many laws to check the president's power that no one ever dreamed would be called for.
When cannot come soon enough.
Goddamnit, Danny Rand sucks. His characterization just plain sucks. I'll get more into my thoughts later.
! Best fight scene in the entire season was the one in China with the drunken master. They should've brought that guy back for the finaleThe other characters were fine. I was most intrigued by a certain father-son dynamic.
What's made worse like salt on the wound is that Lewis Tan - the half-Chinese actor with extensive training in martial arts - applied for and was turned down for the lead role of Iron Fist, and his brief portrayal as the Drunken fighting master in episode 8 was actually one the most entertaining highlights of the entire season. This leaves me with a very disappointing taste of what could have been if they had cast differently.

While the initial premise is interesting, the execution so far and characters are quite one-dimensional and bland generic. The art style of this series really reminds me of Sun-Ken Rock, but like drawn through a shounen filter. Is it by the same artist/author?
Huh, and just when I thought they were done with these.
I lost it at Team Rocket showing up
"What the Fuck is this fever dream?!"
@Daz:
By far the most common Iron Fist complaint I've heard is that its boring - as in, episodes treading water and being uneganging. Considering none of the prior Netflix series had good pacing throughout, thats a pretty worrysome sign.
I thought that Jessica Jones had pretty decent pacing throughout and consider it the best of the Marvel Netflix bunch.
Yeah, pretty much knew something like that was going to happen.
@Purple:
You mean that Superman's NOT dead?
No, only my faith in the DC cinematic universe.
As what a janitor?
New series on Cartoon Network: Jeb the Almighty Janitor
Please clap for him.
Man, the emotional moments in this series sure are gut-wrenching.
whatever horrors Norman saw behind the door, it probably does not bode well for Emma and Ray.
@Count:
Hela looks pretty cool. Not a fan of short-haired Thor though. He just looks like a generic pretty boy spartan.
I for one did not recognize Chris Hemsworth. I saw the photo and initially thought "who the fuck is that" lol
And Cate Blanchett as Hela looks interesting, here's hoping she's a milestone improvement over Malekith, his characterization as a villain was forgettable garbage.
