My mouth dropped once I realized what she was doing, I can't believe she actually went that far with it. Overall, I think this is one of my favorite chapters of the series. I thought the jokes translated fairly well into english.

Wow did not think I was gonna see this reference already lol

RE: Food Wars - It's In the Trash
Takumi definitely has to make his come back in a big way, especially if Soma gets back his Mezzaluna for him. Since Takumi doesn't have the chance to redeem himself by beating Subaru he is gonna have to prove his worth as a chef in some spectacular way. Which is something I am looking forward to, even though I only picked up the series a few days ago Takumi has come to be my favorite character.
Anyways like everyone else was saying Hayama is pretty much guaranteed to win against Kurokiba though I do suspect Kurokiba won't go down without a fight.

RE: Chapter 754: Please to make your acquaintance
Not sure if this has been posted yey but it looks to me the Dellinger may have the Zoan fighting fish devil fruit :ninja:
I could believe it, I was wondering why he had the picture of the fighting fish on his hat. It would be pretty cool if he was the first aquatic zoan fruit user.

RE: Chapter 748: My Repayment
I'm glad were getting to see King Elizabello II fight again and that there is more to the King Punch then we thought. For some reason I really liked the Don Chinjao and Elizabello combo. I'm excited to see the rest of the fighters show off even more of their skills. Hoping we get to see more of Kelly Funk's Jake Jake devil fruit power.

RE: Confession Session II
I started college this year and on the first day we were put into orientation groups. I became friends with everyone in the group and about a month later I started dating one of the girls in the group. We were basically together everyday of the school year, had classes together, did homework together, and ate together. She is prone to stress out about school easily and because of that I become a big emotional support for you. She broke up with my on the last day of the school year saying that she was a "giver" and that she felt like she couldn't help me with any of my problems which in turn made her "attraction to me shift", in her words. I was pretty upset by this but not surprised since I knew something has been wrong for a while. Ever time I went to like hold her hand or put my hand on arm she would pull away and flinch. That went on for months before we finally talk about the issue. That only caused me plenty of stress and honestly thinking back on it she made me way more unhappy then happy, at least towards the end.
Anyways after we broke up she started texting me saying that she still loved me and wanted to be best friends because she couldn't deal with not having me in her life. She said that school would be impossible without my emotional support. I told her that if I wanted to ever get over her then I would have to stop talking to her completely, at least for a while. She was very upset and eventually I told her we can try being friends for now. She is texting and talking to me like nothing ever happened. Overall we are acting the same but without actually dating. I honestly don't know if I can continue being friends, it hurts me and it will be worse we when get back to school. She is gonna rely on me to do everything I did for her while we were dating, if I want to move on I can't be doing that. But it all comes down to me not wanting to hurt her and I don't want to make school unbearable for her. But I also want to be happy myself

I've really enjoyed Toriko since the Tournament arc ended, I can't wait to see the Bewitching Food World. Sounds like its gonna be a fun time.

RE: Love and Loathe: Daily One Piece Character Analysis
Love: That even at an old age he still lives up to his reputation as the Pirate Kings first mate being incredibly strong. The fact that he doesn't need a devil fruit is quite impressive as well, thats a testiment to the strength of his haki and his physical strength. He is one of the two only characters, the other being Whitebeard, that offer a brief glimpse as to who Gol D. Roger really was. Knowing Rayleigh is going to be the closet that Luffy gets to knowing Roger. Speaking off Luffy, I love the fact that he took Luffy under his wing. He become the mentor that Luffy needed at that point in the series. And for a last point, since I am a huge Whitebeard fan, I loved the fact that Rayleigh shed a tear for Whitebeard.
Loathe: I would have to say that I have a little resentment towards him for causing the Straw Hats to split up. They were out looking for him and slowly things started getting out of hand.

RE: Love and Loathe: Daily One Piece Character Analysis
Love: Vergo was cool character overall. He had a little mystery to him, got to really show what a normal person could do with Haki, was a important connection to Doflamingo in the Punk Hazard arc, and his bambo weapon was cool. I loved his serious attitude which was nicely complimented by his most of the time funny gag. And his interactions with the G5 marines after he betrayed them lead to a heartbreaking scene, this sort of gave me a new outlook on the marines in the series.
Loathe: Truly was a fodder character, he seemed to be built up to be quite a strong individual but we really didn't get to see him fight to much. In his strongest from he was one hit KOed by law, I thought he would be much stronger then this. I also feel like not to much thought was put into his personality, he seemed to be rather dull sometimes.

RE: Love and Loathe: Daily One Piece Character Analysis
Love:How he went from being a villain to one of the most well liked characters. He really shined during the Impel Down Arc where we got to see how strong his determination was and how much he valued friendship. Overall, in opinion, he has become a very kind-hearted character who I look forward to seeing again in the story. And one of my favorites scenes in the manga is his goodbye scene with Luffy at the end of Impel Down.
Loathe:I can't really think of anything really but maybe he could use his Devil Fruit power more effectively in battle

RE: Official Dressrosa Thread
Law has probably a broken Jaw, has a string bullet wound through his shoulder and 3 bullet (maybe seastone bullets) wounds in his body. You honestly think Law is going to get up and fight Doflamingo with Luffy? Lets take the seastone handcuffs out of the picture. If he wakes up he would barely be able to walk or needs urgent medical attention.
Thats why I said if cause I know it is a long shot but lets be honest bullets really don't do much in the One Piece world a.k.a Brownbeard getting shot right in the face. And I do think Law will get up to do something at some point during the rest of the arc, there is no way he is just gonna stay chained to that chair until everything is settled.
-
RE: Sly Cooper Movie
Clockwerk was confirmed second the official synopsis.
Also the synopsis mentions China which could mean Panda King will be a villain as well. Nothing confirmed yet but I would love to see Panda King in the movie. And Ms. Ruby as well, she had the best level in the first game.
-
RE: Official Dressrosa Thread
Does anyone think were gonna see some Law and Luffy combo moves if they do end up fighting Doflamingo together?
-
RE: How would you use devil fruit powers in the real world?
I would love to have a Zoan fruit so I can just turn into a animal and escape my problems for a while hahaha I could do this with one of the fruits from the Inu Inu no Mi line, the Tori Tori no Mi line, or the Neko Neko no Mi line.
-
RE: Chapter 735: "Fujitora's Intentions"
A baloon DF is also a possibility.
When I first saw it I thought it was a balloon devil fruit, kind of like Jousuke Udono from the anime Basilisk. I would much rather it be a zoan fruit. No one can deny that a flying squirrel zoan would be soooo cool.

RE: General Marines Thread
But I wonderā¦ Can we say that Bastille is stronger than Smoker? Or at least guess it?
We known that Bastille has been a VA longer than Smoker has so he does have seniority over Smoker but that probably doesn't correlate into power. But we really haven't seen Bastille fight yet so its hard to tell at this point. Judging off the fact that he is a giant and he has a pretty large weapon then it may be safe to assume that in terms of raw power Bastille is pretty strong. Smoker's Devil Fruit may give him an advantage but who knows, Bastille could have a devil fruit as well.

RE: General 'Four Emperors' Discussion
bonney was captured by blackbeard who handed her over to akainu
and capone was sucked into one of blackbeards black holesā¦.. i think
urouge might be down for the count too, depending on what you think of this scene
Bonney was seen after the timeskip, right at the beginning of the Dressrosa arc. She wasn't in jail from what it seemed like. And don't count out Capone and Urouge just yet, unit we get a confirmation that they are down for the count lets consider them active pirates.

RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
The way he talks in the second panel gives me the impression that Momonoske is the heir of Wanokuni, this can also be the reason why Doflamingo wants to kidnap Momonoske, If Kinemon was Momonoske's real father Doflamingo would have been interested in Kinemon but he isn't and we know that the hand-made Devil Fruit has nothing to do with it.
If you keep track of who the Strawhats associate themselves you'll noticed that they always befriend the royalty of a country, so guarding Momonoske means that their guarding Wanokuni.
[hide][qimg]http://www.onepiecebay.net/manga/mangas/One Piece/705 - Maynard the Pursuer/17.png[/qimg][/hide]
PS: Did you understand what the guy above my post meant?
Thats a really good theory that I can actually see having some validity. The three samurais that left Wano with Momo could have been his bodyguards and Kinemon did say they were running away from something. Also the way Kinemon and Momo reacted to Kaidou's name could also be used to prove this theory. If this turns out being true I can competely see Kinemon joining the crew.
And i'm just gonna ignore the post below mine cause I don't quite understand it hahaha
-
RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
The thing that I don't think Momonoske is Kinemon's son either
Would you mind elaborating on that a little more? It seems like a very interesting theory.
-
RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
Don't know you guys but I'm starting to think that Kinemon will end up joining the crew.
I don't know if Kinemon would ever leave Momonosuke in order to join the Straw Hats. I can see one of the other samurais that were with Kinemon joining the crew, if they to become friends with the Straw Hats.
-
RE: General 'Four Emperors' Discussion
How do we know that Yonkou don't predate One Piece?
Thats a really good point. The Yonkou are just the four most powerful pirates in the New World. Even without the One Piece they will still be the four most powerful pirates in the New World. And Whitebeard really didn't care about getting the One Piece yet he was still a Yonkou. This also goes for Shanks, since he was part of the Pirate King's crew I don't know how badly he would want the One Piece.
-
RE: General Marines Thread
wouldn't she be green cow then?
She may still be called Green Bull but there isn't really a way for us to tell right now. Its not like we have had a women as a admiral before that we can use as a example.
No problem, people tend to mix these two all the time~
Oh, Strawberry isn't going to shoot anyone, lest it becomes a habit and then no one will remain to adjust his fancy hat.
I am really interested in Onigumo's possible zoan devil fruit, same thing fore Dalmatian, but I don't think we will see much of them during the rest of the series unless there is another big Marine battle like Marineford. And speaking of Strawberry, I had an odd dream last night in which I beat him up and was chased by smoker. I was quite confused when I woke up.
-
RE: General Marines Thread
btw, has it been specifically stated what gender Green Bull is?
That's a good point, it was never confirmed what gender Green Bull is. That would be cool if Green Bull was a women.
-
RE: General Marines Thread
@God:
Did you guys see the opening for episode 629?
I really enjoyed the New Opening. The part where they fight the marines looked awesome a.k.a Fujitora vs Zoro. And I am really excited to see all the Dressrosa stuff in the anime. The opening made everything look so cool.
-
RE: General Marines Thread
looks at chapter containing Blackbeard and his entire crew submerged in mags poison
I think you need to take a look at this buddy.
I completely forgot about this, the did end up receiving the antidote from Shiliew and were completely fine. I think the missing factor in this argument is that we don't really know the amount of poison it would take for someone to gain immunity, it could be very little or a lot. The marines would never risk injecting there soldiers with various amounts of poison in order to gauge at what point immunity will arise. If anything I can see Caesar being the one to experiment with this sort of thing.
Bastille even call Maynard a rookie, suggesting that he is indeed on a higher level than he is, but VA have a bad tendency to be used as hype material.
I still want to see Fujitora kicking ass of some high level pirates. I will be really pissed if he just leaves without doing anything.
Isn't Zoro heading to Fujitora right now? When all the criminals in the colosseum have to leave I can see Fujitora stopping a few of them. I would be surprised if we didn't see at least a little fight between them. I think in the worst case scenario, we would only get the name of his devil fruit and his actually powers by the end of the arc but without him fighting.
-
RE: General Marines Thread
And then he is going to get curbstomped to hype some new pirate characterā¦ :ninja:
Sorry, I'm pessimistic about VA's. Untill I see him beat somebody, I'm not going to say that his inclusion is worthwhile. Especially after the last VA show off...
I agree with you Maynard was a disappointment. Look at it this way, Maynard could have been beat by one of the many fodder colosseum fighters in order to hype up the next block. Instead Barto beat him which is a character, in my opinion, who will be around for a little bit.
I won't be that disappointed with Bastille if he at least puts up a fight, it would be cool so see how he fights and a few of his attacks. Bastille has been around in this arc for a little bit which means he might serve some kind of purpose. Who knows though, that purpose could have been to explain the whole Cavendish thing.
And since, as far as we know, Maynard was not present at Marineford it can be assumed that he may be one of the weaker or newly promoted VAs. I may be wrong on this but I believe it was said that the strongest of the Marine forces were brought to Marineford in order to fight. Bastille was at the battle meaning he could be pretty strong.
-
RE: General Marines Thread
Yeah, that's I meant. They would probably lose more fighting strenght trying to aquire poison immunity, then from the poison itself. Also, how would we get around the whole "We need a miracle man to do that" part of the process? I remember Impel Down guards quite clearly stating that even them can't heal all of types of poisoning Magellan is capable of.
I see Ivankov being the key factor in this plan and the marines would not be able to get their hands on them. Unless there is some other devil fruit user out there that can miraculous heal people.
And since this is the marines thread, is anyone else enjoying Bastilles recent inclusion in the story? I really like it when the VA make some appearance, even if it is a small one
-
RE: General Marines Thread
ā¦ Why would marines need poison immunity anyways? It's not like it's massively popular among pirates, and the only guy that uses it as his main form of attack is Magellan, who is an ally, not enemy. Seems like a waste of time.
Poison has showed up a few times in the series examples being Crocodile, Don Krieg, Wanze, Duval, Hyouzou. Still nothing really warrants the excruciating process of gaining poison immunity.
-
RE: General Marines Thread
@Medical:
What the WG should do: get Magellan to poison Marines, then give them an antidote. Then a bunch of Marines would have poison immunity.
I'm just gonna quickly explain why that wouldn't work cause I enjoy discussing Magellan's abilities. Magellan's poison is pretty vicious and in order to gain poison immunity the marines would need to take in a pretty good amount of poison. As far as we known, no antidote is strong enough to counter this much poison. The only reason Luffy lived through the ordeal and gained poison immunity was because Ivankov used his Horu Horu no Mi to enhance Luffy's healing process. Even after this Luffy lost 10 years of his life and it required a great deal of willpower. All the marines would not be able to survive through this process.

RE: General 'Four Emperors' Discussion
Are we 100% certain that the person in the color spread is Kaidou? Or is it just speculation?

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ā Promo Pics"
I was quite pleased with my Super Effect Gekko Moriah so I ordered the Super Effect Figures of Hawkins, Capone, Apoo, and Urouge. I got all four of them for around $38. Since I am new at this, was this a good purchase or a bad one? I kind of wish I checked beforehand but I was to excited hahaha
-
RE: General Devil Fruit Discussion
@Devil:
Tsuru's fruit, the Woshu Woshu no Mi
I agree with you on this one. She seems to be quite strong even in her old age which means she could be a formidable haki user and could have mastered her devil fruit power. I would really like to see her in an actually battle where we get to see some of her attacks. Also I think seeing the Woshu Woshu no Mi and the Awa Awa no Mi being used against each other would interesting.
I really want it to be from an actual species.
I can kind of see that being the case. I mean every Zoan Weapon we have seen so far look a lot more like their Zoan animals. I don't really even know what animal the fail would even be.
-
RE: General Devil Fruit Discussion
Are there any devil fruits that we haven't seen much of, that anyone is interested in? For me it is the Ori Ori no MI, Hina's fruit, that lets the user create bindings and cages. It will be cool to see how Oda will expand on this power.

When will the next chapter be released? I don't mean to sound rude but I've been checking apforums for the past 5 hours and still no chap.
I heard the next chapter will be released on Jan. 1st, which makes sense since Jump comes out the 6th. Scanlations are usually five days before the offical release.

RE: Toriko II: Ichiryuu's Slimy Insides!!
I wonder what it's going to be like playing as Ichiryu in Toriko fighting videogames now
The chopsticks seem like they will be awesome. I like those way more then his minority world ability.
-
RE: Toriko II: Ichiryuu's Slimy Insides!!
I honestly don't care for the credibility of the science in this chapter, this manga has always been pretty mindless in its entertainment. Yes the manga brings up the science itself so can easily be criticised if it makes no sense, but it can equally be taken just as Shima's attempt to diversify powers. And I'm sure the basic idea of the square root law is legitimate, it's just how Shima is applying it to Ichiryuu.
I do, however, dislike the haxness of the ability. If you think about the fact that Ichiryuu has been alive for possible 200+ years it kind of makes sense that he would have a ridiculous ability like this. And you can't forget that he was the disciple of Acacia.

RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
@Monkey:
Yes. But so what?
The databooks are edited together by someone who is not Oda.
And why would Oda spoil a big secret like Sabo being alive in the first place with a databook?Ya I agree with you, Oda would not revel something like that in a databook. He is going to keep that a secret as long as he can just to drive everyone crazy hahaha
-
RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
@Monkey:
Sabo is unquestionably alive lol.
The three cups in front of the grave could ONLY be Sabo. Only three people were there when they shared cups. Luffy, Ace, and Sabo.
Luffy has definitely not visited that New World island. Ace is dead. Andā¦Sabo is alive.
The multitude of other hints aren't even needed at this point.I agree with you, the cups are a big hint that Sabo is alive. I have a question though is it true that in one of the databooks Sabo was stated to be dead?

RE: One Piece 721 : Rebecca and Mr. Soldier
No kidding, lil bro shot up the houseā¦
I loved the scene were he beat up the boy trying to give Rebecca the love letter/card. To me that proved that he was more of a protective father then a love interest.
-
RE: One Piece 721 : Rebecca and Mr. Soldier
I really enjoyed this chapter, seeing how protective the toy solider is over Rebecca warmed my heart. Although now I really believe that Rebecca will not be joining the crew, she will most likely stay in Dressrosa to rule over the kingdom. That is if Doflamingo is cast out of power. Side Note: Diamante looked awesome for that one panel he was in.
-
RE: Toriko II: Ichiryuu's Slimy Insides!!
Is Ichiryuu causing Midora to mess up by controlling his minority atoms? Or does Midora have such little control over his minority atoms that they are causing him to mess up?
-
RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
I am not to sure that we are gonna get a crewmate out of the Dressrosa Arc. We may get more allies to the Strawhat Crew
-
RE: Toriko II: Ichiryuu's Slimy Insides!!
Has any character been given stomach acid abilities or used stomach acid as their weapon? If not, it should be one of Midora's abilities because of his voracious appetite and all. Just saying
The only thing in the series that has shown the ability to spit out digestive stomach acid is the Devil Serpent that Coco, Toriko, and Komatsu encountered in the cave during the Puffer Whale Arc.
