@No:
Yes.
And if you like Orihime in the slightest….prepare to feel pain.
Lots and lots of pain.
It was painful to read, what the fuck was Kubo thinking.
LOL Naruto

No one mentioned Temari wanting to talk to the Raikage yet?
I mean, what the fuck. They are in the middle of a fight against some of the strongest ninjas of all time and she wants to talk to him? On top, her freaking dad is right nearby, wouldn't she rather talk to him?!
A woman having non mother/wife related bonding time with her family? In Naruto? That's crazy!
Kisame was wise, he killed himself because he knew this was coming.
Isn't Kyuubi a tsundere ?
Kyuubi: S-stupid Naruto! Is not like I like you or anything! blushes
Kyuubi was a good guy all along. He was just testing Naruto. Srsly.
Damn, things are bad when Kishimoto makes me not give a royal fuck about Gaara, of all people.
I guess everybody is nice and full of sunshine and really not bad deep down. Fucking rainbows everywhere.
Naruto had a chakra monster him since he was born that was forshawdowed he would have to control it. Ordinary???
…you are the one that said they were ordinary, not me. You don't need my help to embarass yourself, you are doing that on your own.
Exactly my point. Naruto did the samething.
I don't mean to be rude, but do you understand what "ordinary" means?
Whats your point? Kamahamaha could destroy a small house. Time skip. Can Nuke all of the earth, destroy whole islands with his pinky if he wanted too.
He got more powerful. But he was never ordinary. I thought this was obvious.
Yes over 400 chapters ago Naruto was ordinary. So was Goku at the start. He didn't have moves he could destroy the earth with till dbz. How is kyuubi mode chakra arms random. Naruto used it against Sasuke at the VOTE like 400 chapters ago. He just learned how to use it better and have better control.
Goku was never ordinary.
What the fuck did I just read.
Huh? Naruto will obviously win in the end. He the main character, he might die or something through. Wars this destiny thing you speak of? Naruto does whatever he feels like. The destiny frog has noting to do with it. Naruto was already going to fight Sasuke and join the war. Naruto is doing this more for his father/Jman then some destiny. The frog could of told him anything, he would still be chasing after Sasuke.
I see the point flew right over your head.
@RobbyBevard:
Now, when you say "throwing himself at him"….
:ninja:
The stacks have to be against the hero at the end. Just like Goku/
Vegeta didn't fuse to wipe the floor with kid Buu. Who would be exited to see that? They want to show struggle/ Perseverance to win.
Hahahahahahahha
Oh wait, you are serious.
Destiny is in Naruto's side. Nobody thinks he has any chances of losing. There's no fear for his life. There's no tension whatsoever. There's no danger. Which makes Madara's uber power even MORE ridiculous.
Yep pretty much. This is what happens when villains steals peoples moves. Cell taking the Z warriors technique, BB taking WB Fruit etc…... Why would a villain take someone's ability and not use it.
Ah logic. I thought we didn't use logic in Naruto.
Why will Madara lose this war even if he has all the tools he needs to win it?
heck, Naruto is practically throwing himself at him. Easiest war ever.
The Rinnegan ability is the 6 paths. It was said when Pein was introduced
So Madara can do that now?
gag me with a spoon.
Um .. wtf. Where did Madara get 7 rinnegan eyes?
eBay.
Or maybe he cloned them.
Nothing would surprise me at this point
When naruto already crubstomped the other 6 pains, why Kishi why do you try this again?? Boss rushes are only fun in SOME games!! And when you already beat the bastards easily enough the first time, why go at it a second one?
The talk-no-jutsu had to succed, or else raikage had to be defeated. But the way that this should happened is the other way around, "we need naruto's skills, go find him!" not "naruto has escaped, ah, that's ok we need him anyway"
The'll either serve as fodder to show how kewl Naruto is or they will be fodder for the secondary characters.
Ugh
Oh Raikage. You were the only man left in this disaster.
@Mark:
tsunade is useless as usual -___-
She's a woman after all.
This chapter was pretty boring.
We get it, Kishimoto, Minato shits sunshine. You can stop now.
I just loled at the splash.
For one second I thought Kishimoto was going to make me happy and let Raikage pummel Naruto into the ground. Oh well…
So if Naruto converts Raikage, would that qualify the chapter for "The Heart"?
It should get its own category. That's how bad it's going to be.
I'm gonna pretend Hinata was thinking about protecing her village instead of once again being all about Naruto.
@Thunder:
You know Sakura's been dragged through shit when her fans get excited over her punching out a single fodder.
As long as she's not crying and wangsting over Team 7… I see that as an improvement.
Hinata, Kiba and Shino in this chapter?
Kishimoto could be having Naruto fighting armadillo penises and I wouldn't care. I'm so happy to see them.
The incoming pairing wars are going to be delicious.
@The:
He's propably gonna sprout off Kabuto as a tumor, just in time to get a sad flashback and die (again) as he tearfully remembers the time Jiraya and him dressed up as frogs.
T__________________T
@The:
"Yo Fox, were gonna be best buds!"
"Whut?! I'm a friggin being of pure malevolence and hatred! Thats retarded!"
"Ninja jesus, remember?"
"…...........fuck"And so the last remaining bits of the Kyuubis dignity dies an unmourned death
Kyuubi: Fuck my life
You know what? As horrible as Orochimaru's death was, at least he didn't live long enough to be converted by Naruto.
at least it didn't wear a frog suit.
Yet
@RobbyBevard:
The love letter to Sakura is clearly from Hinata.
Who has decided after 100 chapters of neglect to give up on the whole "dating men" thing.
Sakura, having similar rejection issues with Sasuke (And Naruto flat out telling her no) and also looking vaugley mannish, is the perfect candidate for this.
If only. :/
Don't let me get started on the evil!Neji shit.
Or any kind of response to Hinata for over 100 chapters…
Considering how rushed this "war" has been, we may never see those teams in any prolonged action.
I think this part will rap up the Kabutomaru bit rather quickly.
Considering how much Kishmoto sucks at romance, I think she's safer this way.
The lack of Team 8 fighting pisses me off, though
Kishimoto has time to show how Sakura gets a love letter from a fodder ninja but doesn't have time to show Team 8 and Team Gai fighting.
sigh
@David:
So basically the movies haven't changed at all from what I remember.
-Naruto helps stuck-up douche stop being a stuck-up douche.
-Some sort of powered up super rasengan to finish off the big bad.That's all I really remember.
I would have respected Danzou if he wasn't such a cowardly hypocrite.
@Cyan:
Considering his family was plotting to pull a coup that would've sent the village into utter chaos and his brother killed them all to protect the village (Which is, above all else, a ninja's duty), Sasuke's "IMMA KILL EVERY1" thing makes him seem like a whiny douche more than anything.
To be honest, I would troll Itachi by going against his wishes if he had mindraped me to protect me.
Thing is, Sasuke is not even character enough to do that.
Sasuke's characterization is so inconsistent. Remember during the fight with Killer Bee it was shown, or at the very least implied that he was starting to think of the rest of Team Hawk as comrades similar to Team 7's early days before everything went pnts-on-head retarded? And then one arc later he just leaves them to rot and flips on the evil psycho switch without any kind of justification? I just hate how Kishimoto is writing him to be an unlikeable, murderous douchebag who's jumping further and further down the slippery slope, yet at the same time expects us to think he's redeemable and that we're supposed to root for Naruto doing so. Sigh.
Kishimoto wasn't ready to have Naruto convert Sasuke so he needed an excuse to keep him on the Bad Side.
I wouldn't be so pissed about Sasuke turning Evil if 1) I wasn't 100% sure that Kishimoto is going to redeem him and 2) he wasn't such a lame villain.
Read my first comment and I quote myself in saying, "Fast forward 3 years and unfortunately the Kyubi is Naruto's little bitch, and he has the thing on beck and call."
Whether it's lame or good writing is not of my concern though I don't like it myself. The whole point of my argument was to show how much the relationship between Naruto and the Kyubi has changed since Part 1. As more was revealed about the Kyubi and the Kyubi came under Naruto's control it has lead to a less than appealing look and disappointment regarding the Kyubi's status and demeanor, but the general consensus is that it's just bad drawing.
I wasn't even paying attention to the art, to be honest. XD I'm just sad Kyuubi has been reduced to this.
He's even making sense and everything. The evil furball is giving the Hero a lesson is common sense.
@Kareem:
And little Hinata too. I agree Team 8 is awesome. And yes, it's very good to have you back. And if you like seeing stupid people nitpick One Piece and come up with the dumbest reasons for why ONE PIECE AND NARUTO ARE EQUAL!!! check out Larry's review. The only thing he's right about is that Naruto sucked this week.
Seriosly "Oda has dumb chapter titles" who gives a shit? What will they think of next. And he actually said he sided with FUCKING ARLONG! You sir, don't seem to have the best memory, because you may have forgotten that Arlong was a greedy, manipulative bastard who held Nami hostage with the lie that he would give her her village back if she got enough money, even though he had no intention of ever doing that. He held dozens of villages and probably thousands of lives hostage, and would kill anyone who couldn't pay up (although if you do the math on Arlong's extortion, it doesn't really make any sense, but anyway). He wanted to conquer a quarter of the world. And you're siding with this guy? That does not bode well for your mental health. About as much as the people who say Akainu, the man who killed innocent people out of extreme paranoia and murdered Ace right before Luffy's eyes, is actually a hero. Christ.
Actually one of the things that I love about this flashback is that we're starting to understand Arlong but Oda's not saying "he's a good person now, this excuses all of the horrible things he's done" like Kishi often does.
composes himselfOh yeah, and Naruto sucks!
The Hinata panel would have made me happy if she wasn't being ignored. Again.
Kiba's snark almost made up for it.
Also your avatar makes me happy and sa at the same time.
@RobbyBevard:
Gabzilla! Welcome back!
Sorry the series has sucked lately. You should really visit the rest of the forum.
Robby <3
I should, I need to catch up with One Piece.
Naruto is too depressing right now. You can't even make fun of it.
The Kyubi is a terrifying monster but it's also Naruto's pet now. A big difference from 3 years ago, but I see I won't be winning this argument.
And that's very very lame.
You know you have a problem when the Evil Furball of Doom makes more sense than your fucking hero.
Only good things about this chapter were little Shino and Kiba.
I'm not going to lie, I enjoyed the InoShikaChou. Mainly because Shikamaru wasn't being an annoying Stu.
But somebody should put Naruto out of its misery.
A flaw in that guy's argument is that with Dragonball it never had a sound meta plot ongoing while Naruto does(though the main theme is dead sadly) Toriyama concluded the main goal of the series by volume two while Naruto concluded its main goal(thematically) by around 48 or so. Dragonball's arc structure was entirely episodic and didn't have the overarching story planned and while Kishimoto still has an overarching story to cover that he has been working on for sometime, that ties to Sasuke/Uchia/Kyuubi material. Seeing that may things have already been revealed like Naruto's mother and the reason why Naruto is the Jinchuuriki and the reveal of the origin of the tailed beast and clearly Kishimoto stating that Sasuke vs Naruto will be the last fight in the series and all thoughs homages to the first part of the series with the revivals the neglected side characters. The Dragonball argument is rather stupid especially considering that Kishimoto has already surpassed DragonBall's chapter count which was 519, and most of revivals have been made its clearly the last arc or at least the arc that will forward events that would lead to the last segment of the series.
This series is a dying dog that's only being kept alive by business executives on life support, why continue a life that wants to be ended?
Naruto Gt has already happen, only its canon.
Sad, but true. Even the worst parts of DBZ shit all over current Naruto.
Except GT because GT never happened.
Naruto will never ever come close to Dragon Ball. People that compare Naruto's popularity with Dragon Ball's don't take into account that Naruto got really popular really fast because of the internet.
The further you stay away from NF, the better.
Trust me. I would know.
I'm very attached to some of the FCs, but I'm so close to just leaving and give ownership to somebody else. :(
Isn't that the place were they bitch about One Piece fans or something, or the One Piece fandom there is wacked like One manga's.
Some do, but there are several members who know OP is superior in every way.
My God, I need to stop checking the Telegrams section in NF.
The majority of people actually believe Kishimoto is doing a good job with this "war"
I wish the series was based around the Cloud ninjas instead. :x
Noooo, he'd ruin them too :(
The average fan believes the Kushina flashback was superb.
So, yeah…
This chapter was dull nobody cares about these characters and wtf is up with these weapons singly they are totally useless.
I care about the Kumo team.
I also care about the secondary characters.
But this war is a mess. It really feels that he's pulling it out of his ass. There's no proper character development, the characters are there for fanservice. It feels… cheap. At least back in the Kage arc I could lol at Sasuke and co. being over the top lame. This is... painful to watch.
Naruto was never really an underdog if I remember correctly(at least not in terms strength) he was an underdog in terms of public opinion. He defeated Haku through the nine-tails; defeated Neji not through hard work(though he did use his head a little bit) but through the handy activation of Nine-tails power(that he had an unfair advantage of). Goku or Lee and even Luffy was more of an underdog in that area than Naruto ever was. Goku and Rock Lee worked harder than Naruto ever did and they still loosed to their opponents. Notably Goku lost all a lot of his Tenkaichi matches(except Piccolo) and even then he struggled like crazy and nearly gets killed by him(bastard broke his legs)
Lee struggled against Gaara and lost(gets crippled by him later).
Luffy loses tons of times in One Piece(but I won't go into that)
Maybe not in terms of strength, but he was an underdog in everything else. Kyuubi, for all his power, worked against him. Not only because Kyuubi hated his guts, but because Naruto lost control when he used it. Naruto was a prince all along, all this underdog/sad orphan stuff was a mirage. The Chosen One bullshit kills his characterization because Kishimoto focused so much on Naruto being an underdog, usually when comparing him to Sasuke. Every time Naruto surpassed Sasuke in part one (Haku fight, calling him a coward when they faced Orochimaru, even in the Valley of the End) I could feel it was because of Naruto's inner strength. I could root for him.
In part 2 he succeeds only because he's Special. He's everything Sasuke was (special bloodline, powerful family, etc etc). How many can relate to him now? I'm not saying he should be weak, but Naruto - as a character - is one dimensional and hasn't grown up at all.
Lee is like that because he was the true underdog of Naruto, Naruto was an underdog in terms of public opinion(never in strength). He defeated Neji not through hard work but through the handy activation of Nine-tails power(that he had an unfair advantage of). I guess you could argue he was a worse ninja than Neji before he defeated him, and he used his clone jutsu to outmaneuver him but really that wouldn't have been possible without the Nine-tails chakra. Lee worked harder then both Naruto and Gaara and ultimately he loses his fight with Gaara, while Naruto wins his. I really think this hardwork/underdog thing is only true for when Naruto worked on the resengan and defeated Kabuto with it in the Tsunade arc.
The thing with the Nevi vs Naruto fight is that back then the Kyuubi could be both a blessing and a curse. In part 2, Kyuubi lost everything that made him a menace and now he's basically Naruto's lapdog.
Honestly at the point when it was revealed that the fourth Hokage was Naruto's father or when it was revealed he left a specific power-up for him to use, I knew then Kishi would do this with his story and use the 'whole destiny thing.' Its not a trope I'm in favor of but I think he could have made it work if he hadn't ended the main theme halfway through the manga.
I still had some hope… then we got the Kushina flashback...
I think the Destiny trope can work in the hands of a competent author, but in this case? No. Is not just Naruto. Making Naruto so white and Sasuke so black killed part of the manga that used to be gray. All the members of Team 7, sans Kakashi and only because he gets little screentime in comparison, have either regressed (poor, poor Sakura), or became one dimensional (Naruto and Sasuke). It's a shame. I could actually root for Team 7 before, now I don't care.
Well maybe at that point you had more hope for the story then I did.
:(
I won't be doing Naruto reiews anymore, but I will review One Piece :)
I hate the Chosen One trope.
It is rarely done right.
The problem with Naruto (and not Luffy) being a Chosen One is that his character revolved around the underdog theme. Making him the Chosen One fucked that up.
And Naruto stopped being a hard working character ages ago. If you want to see hard work, look at Lee.
I wouldn't be surprised that when he finally see the Sage of Six path's face. He looks almost exactly like Naruto.
I'm willing to bet on it.
This is one of the most sickeningly cliche Japanese animated films I've seen in a long time. I actually felt my skin crawl while watching it.
I rented it on a lark because my students won't shut up about it.
My students are idiots.
More like, "Hey let's take every useless insecure loser otaku male stereotype from post-Eva anime and do nothing new or interesting with the formula and make him the hero when all he does is a series of maybe 4 math problems through the entire film."
I think I love you.
+1
Except some of the artwork the last two chapters were pretty nice. Actually I love the 7 Swordsmen of the Mist. They really have something. I´m just wondering if they´re still as effective as they were with the mist up. Guess I gotta see that in the next chapters.
And reading back some pages with all of these funny comments made me laugh. After all Naruto´s got still enough material to make a joke of it.
They are gonna die like fodder.
Just like the cool looking bijuu vessels.
Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm still skeptical. But at least he has a setup for it. Now let's see if he can deliver.
….....He probably won't.
Expect the wort, be pleasantly surprised!
Or not.
He hit puberty .
Damn :(
But hey, it looks like maybe Kishi will live up to his promise of the Year of Kakashi.
!
It's funny the younger Naruto always got on my nerves with his goofy smile but seeing him this chapter I like the old one a lot more now than this wannabe Jesus figure Kishi made him out to be in the 2nd half. Also no Armadillo penis.
Every time we get a flashback with part 1 Naruto I get sad. :(
What happened to that rascal?
No, I'd say this applies not only to the recent chapters, but recent story arcs. Even in comparison to the art of Part II, which is undoubtedly simplified, bland and just dead, now the picture just looks lazy and when you look at it, you get the feeling how the artist forces himself, sadly.
Yeah, you are right. This arc in particular has been a mess. :/
Somebody said Neji had a boner in one of the panels.
Must re-read.
