Is Usopp destined to fight Blackbeard sniper ?
If Usopp doesn't rejoin the crew in the following chapter, then he probally rejoin later when luffy and crew are fighting Blackbeard. Usopp will probally be stronger and fight the sniper guy in Blackbeard crew.
I think usopp will end up fighting that guy too and I'm not going to discount the possibility of that guy having a few seastone bullets because he looks very smart.
It will be a big problem for luffy to fight him, also being a sniper they are very good at hiding meaning robin will not be able to beat him either (she can only use her ability on people she can see).
So if usopp hasn't joined by then he may might return as sogeking telling the others to step aside proving his bravery and while fighting get his mask shot off showing luffy who he truly is which may help usopp gain that respect he truly desires
You know, I always thought it would be very touching if Blackbeard's crew showed up around the time that Luffy and crew meet up with Shanks, and Yasopp sees Usopp and says something like, "You've grown, son. Think you can beat this guy? Remember, it's just like I taught you…" or something to that effect, where you have a real "Father-son" moment.
Usopp will fight Van Auger. There's no question about that. It's just a matter of when and where.

Lafitte is definitely Sanji, cause Sanji always gets the weird guys. And Doc Q has a huge sword on his back, he'll probably be Zoro's opponent rather than Chopper's. I can imagine him taking some mariacle drug that makes him super strong for a few minutes, and Zoro has to contain him until it wears off.

Actually, salt will probably be the way to beat him, because Kuzan can regenerate Ice as fast as Ace could melt it. It may or may not be Luffy… hell, it could be anyone.

Snipers usually never show their position they hide robin wouldn't have a rough idea where he would be. But for the argument lets just say she did what's she going to do? spawn an eye on the opposite side of the wall he is hiding behind? How can she do that if she cannot she the opposite side of the wall (unless she is supergirl using x-ray vision).
If she does that then she has contradicted herself because she says she cannot attack something she cannot see

Franky would probably be too much of a power house to take on Jesus. Jesus is a brawler. Franky is more technical (quite literally too). Sanji is the closest to a brawler they've got and thus sensible to have them two fight.
I'm very sure Doc vs Doc will happend and not Zoro vs Doc. Doc is a sick man, and probably not even close to Sanjis level. Despite the sword (i've actually not seen it, has it been shown?).Oda'll probably play it out Chopper disbelieving and disagreeing with the Doc's killing methods (remember Jaya arc) and them fighting each other.
You're right about Sanji getting the wierd fellas, but consider his evolution as a fighter too. He's never fought anyone who's relied more on brute strenght than technique. Always technique like the transvestite in Baroque Works and that wolf fella from CP9. They relief on their techniques. There are many physically strong people out there, and Sanji needs to take them out. In order to do that, he has to fight a top tier brawler. That'd be Jesus.

Sorry this question is a little off topic. But I was wondering the other day if it was possible for a shooter to make his gun shoot through anything, or shoot it as far as possible with his spirit? Kind of how Zoro can cut through steel.

How is luffys rubber hotter than fire? and how do you know how hot ace can be? For all we know he may be able to reach super nova we just don't know enough about him yet.

Not hotter, but it would have a much higher pressure where it would hit. So it would end up cracking and perfurating where it hits, since the ice would melt just in that little place. A flame is spread into a great area giving time to aokiji regenerate it.
ao kiji would regenerate anyway and the water that comes from the melted ice would cool luffy down. I'm sure ace can concentrate his fire into a single spot but if the fire is hot enough there would be no need as it would just disintegrate anything in its path

Auger has a gun, which can only shoot bullets (or any specific material Oda may find entertainng to shoot out of a gun). While Usopp has a slingshot, which can shoot pellets, rocks, dials, you name it. More bang for the buck. It's Usopp's style.

Of course not. I was just stating there are more to Usopp's ammo and upgrades into Kabuto. To me, for some reason, I think this will be more of a strategy fight. Like Usopp's in one building and Auger's in the other. I can easily imagine Usopp hiding in a building wall shield think of a strategy while his enemy's remarkable aim may give him a hard time. S0, Van wont go down easily unless Usopp makes UPGRADES into his shit with Franky's help and I can imagine their fight as a tactical strategy fight than close action.

Usopp has great aim and great strategy, as I'm sure Auger has. However, what also matters is how many tricks you have up your sleeves, and Usopp will certainly have enough of his inventions to best Auger. Creativite skill over natural skill.

That was different, I dont think Usopp could fight after getting his ass kicked by the FF and he had no choice but to yell and I dont think that should be classified in strategic movements or are you playing sarcastic, Al?. Based on Usopp's fights with Chuu, Miss MerryChristmas/Mr.4, Franky Family, and Jabura… I would say that Usopp can fight very well and effectively, but only if he's received a strong enough blow to the head. He clearly ran into the Franky House hoping one of them would sock him in the brains so he could beat Franky and take the money back, but sadly, Franky walked off before Usopp was injured enough to be effective.
More seriously… Usopp isn't as good as Van Auger now judging from what we've seen, but since he's not fighting Van Auger yet, we don't know how their eventual fight would go. I'd like to see Usopp fighting someone else, because I think that would be more interesting, but I don't think that's likely. Usopp will have to defeat Van Auger to demonstrate he has become a 'Sniping King,' when the time comes.
If Oda wants Usopp to win Auger, he will make it happen, no matter how impossible it looks. That's how Nami won Doublefinger and Califa.
Anyway back to the topic. I say there's a 90% chance of Usopp vs Van Auger happening, with Usopp winning. I deduct 10% because of certain incidents in the past, whereby even though there's a sniper/long ranged fighter, Usopp did not get to fight/finish the fight with him. For example:
Mr 5 in Little Garden. He's a long ranged fighter and used a gun, although he wasn't very good. Towards the end, it looked as if Usopp would be fighting with him, but Zoro appeared out of the blue and OHKO Mr 5.
Braham from Skypiea. He used 2 pistols that contained flash dials. I knew he's not as good as Auger, but I thought he's a better match for Usopp than Zoro, who's going to get a fight later on with a proper swordsman anyway.

The single most important thing here is that the two are direct opposites when it comes to personal beliefs. Usopp thinks that people can make themselves into something great by sheer will while Van Auger would believe that such things are predetermined and that you cannot be anything more than what Fate allows you to be. That's his Achilles heel as well: if Auger can't kill Usopp in one hit, what are the chances that he will continue to fight when he cannot determine whether or not he is fated to kill Usopp?
On the other hand, even a non-lethal shot by Usopp has a damn good chance of finishing his fight for the same reason: if Usopp is fated to be a better shot than Van Auger, then how can he afford to continue when he cannot win?
Really, the single most likely reason that the fight would last beyond Usopp hitting Van Augur even once would be Usopp talking him into resolving the situation like truly great Warriors of the Sea.
So it's not only a similarity of skills, but the fact that Van Auger is a direct counterpart for Usopp that makes a contest between the two likely.
