Well I wanted to see if their are any WWE Fans or aleast some wrestling fans here. I can say that I'm excited about Surivor Series tomarrow, mostly about the reunion of the Hardy Boyz in the Team D-X Vs. Team Rated RKO match. While at the same time it's going to be sad because Lita is going to be retiring from wrestling after tomarrow. I hope she becomes a face, and help the Hardys in The Surivor Series Elemention Match, since she was a member of Team Extreme a time ago, before she became Edge's female campion.
WWE and other fed: Disccusion

I used to be a big fan during the WCW days and the WWF days when both was on at the same time. Stonecold, the rock and mankind were great.
Wcw had NWO and all the other great wrestlers like eddie g and chris benoit.I seen raw last week, it was alright. The dx stuff was kind of funny but it doesnt have the exicitement it once had back in the day.
-
Maybe it's because we got older or something. I still watch WWE every now and then. It's not so bad, just some old fashioned fun. The games still kick ass tho.
-
I dont think it is because we got older. I could be wrong but wrestling USE to be BIG. The ratings were sometimes in 10.5. WWF Raw would do a 10.5 in the ratings and wcw nitro would do like a 8.7. They were on at the same time. Wrestling use to have a big fan base during its heyday.
Stone cold, The Rock, NWO, DX, Hollywood Hulk Hogan, and etc. Wrestling was at its popularity height than. It was more drama and acting skits than actual wrestling matches.
-
Stopped watching it a couple of years ago since I felt it was getting a lil crap, I think the last thing I remember was something about Lita being pregnant with Kane's baby or something.
Looked at it a week or so ago, where are all the greats gone ;-; hell even the ones I liked then (Angle, Jericho, Christian) seem to be gone
-
Yeah, I used to love it in the WWF days. Maybe it was because Nintendo Official Magazine kept doing walkthroughs on the games and I could recognise all the wrestlers. xD
-
I used to watch it when The Rock and austin were there. I watch it every now and then for a laugh, I love Umaga and Lashley.
Lashley reminds me of Goldberg he's so strong and fast,i want to see him throw big show across the ring
-
Sadly, I still cling on to wrestling as much as I did back in '98.
-
I drift in and out every six months, now is a off-period.
-
Just wait till Green Samurai Ranger sees this thread he'll post on it for sure.
-
@Mr.:
Just wait till Green Samurai Ranger sees this thread he'll post on it for sure.
Well Death was right, I would post about this topic, sadly his guess of what I would post being positive would be wrong.
I use to be a big WWE fan, but in recent months the WWE's recent decisions to use Eddie's name in a storyline, storylines where the championships belts are nothing more then pass away items, the lame gimmicks getting forced upon good wrestlers, matches that always end with DQs instead of actually pin counts, and finally having a pathetic attempt rapper called K-fed having a storyline with another pathetic attempt wannabe The Rock John Cena. Have made me hate the WWE and switch over to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Which doesn't use lame profit gimmicks, in my opinion, to keep peopple watching. Just real professional wrestling, if you saw the Kurt Angle verus Samoa Joe match at the Genesis pay per view you would understand.
What I'm trying to get at is this, don't expect to see me in the WWE, but rather in the future of professional wrestling, TNA.
-
I agree with what GRS said even though I don't watch wreastlering, but putting that bastard K-Fed in any story means that that show is going downhill. Unless its American Idol and Steve Cowell really insult K-fed music talents.
-
WWE has been doing worse than they were in '95, but if this turns into a WWE vs. TNA thread, I'm going to shit a brick.
-

Right, I'm not trying to make it a verus thread, I'm stating my opinion on professional wrestling and why I do not watch the WWE anymore, plain and simple.
-
Wait a minute, I thought TNA wrestling was fake too?
-
All wrestling except 'Pro' Wrestling, Sumo Wrestling and Olympic Wrestling are fake, theres that other one too….UFC was it? I like that one still ^_^
-
Yeah, I agree TNA have been very intersing lately, espically nowwith Tyson "No" Tomko is there. But man, the ladder match on Raw, the past week was very good showing of both Jeff Hardy, and Johnny Nitro. I can say I even more pumped about Survior Series with Ron Simmions is going to be on Team Legends. I'm also getting tired of that entire Eddie storyline as well. I just hope they end it soon, because I want Benoit feud with Kane or Monty Brown for The U.S. Title.
-
Wish I had the energy to order SVS, but I have to admit, it's one of the best SVS cards since '02.
-
I saw the ladder match I thought jeff hardy had injured his back and couldn't do matches like that anymore. Survivor series will be good farooq is on the the legends "DAMN".
I want to see lashley man handle Big Show and Umaga beat the crap out of Cena (even though Cena will probably win)
-
Yeah, I noticed, good old Farooq is back. I always like that guy. And indeed, I enjoyed the ladder match with Hardy vs Nitro. Felt like the good old days.
-
I'm most likely considering buying the "Damn" shirt, no one in my school will get it, so that will make it that much funnier.
-
Yeah same here, I'm considering as well to get the Damn t-shirt as well all my friends, who are wrestling fans. Good thing, I got the Wrestlemania Anthology sets recently, I been rewatching some of the older Wrestlemanias. I can say, Ted Deibise is one of the greatest heels of all time. I their is going to be a Royal Rumble Anthology boxset coming out in March, I can't wait to get those since I want to see Owen Hart Beteryaling Bert Hart, and everyone ganging up on Muhammed Hussian again. xD
-
I don't follow this stuff at all, actually I sort of dislike it for idolizing violence, but I accidentally read this:
http://sports.ign.com/articles/748/748635p1.htmlNice that there's somebody promoting straight edge lifestyle. So I guess now this CM Punk person would be my favourite wrestler.
-
I remember I tried to do Jeff Hardy's dive attack (or whatever it's called) when I a little kid. Amazingly, I nailed it.

CM Punk is the shit. I've always been interested in him since I've heard about him two years ago.
-
Wrestling is fake!!!! :ninja:
leaves
-
We know is fake. Wrestling is just a soap opera for men and some women.
-
"It's Still real to me!!!" xD. I have to say it, but yeah I know it's fake. I got some good news now, I just got my order of Wrestlemania 21 on dvd, and I offically have all the Wrestlemanias so far on dvd. ^_^. But the sucky part I can't watch 21 until X-mas, since it's one of my presents.
-
I stopped watching WWE about 2 years ago. I loved it back in the late 80s/early 90s were it was really good, in my opinion.
I'm now more into Japanese wrestling. That's more real than what WWE does. I especially love Japanese women wrestlers. They're REAL pros, not skanky, stripper-like divas of the WWE. Also I love their costumes. Some of them look like Power Rangers and their skills are just incredible. They're not afraid to get hurt or bleed.
I also enjoy the deathmatches. While I don't know many of names of Japanese Wrestlers, I enjoyed several western wrestlers that came over and made it big in Japan like Jason the Terrible (one of my favourites), Cactus Jack, Leatherface (actually is from my home province of Manitoba, Canada), and Freddy Kreugar.
-
But I gotta say. My entire childhood and my early teens I couldn't tell if it was real or fake. I mean, acting is one thing, but grabbing someone by the throat and throwing them into the ground is another.
-
I still find the fact the people treat the UFC has a legit sport, humorous.
Anyways onto topic, wrestling has been for me, something to try and do. My grandfather try to make it into the business and so did my father. Hopefully after I graduate from college, I can go into TNA or over to Japan.
In recent years, the WWE has sadly dropped the ball and shown lackluster material to just earn profit. Weather it be a pathetic "DX is back: storyline or the remake of ECW into a highly bad attempt at "extreme" where only one match is using the hardcore rules and great wrestlers like Sabu and RVD are pushed as gimmicks instead of real wrestlers.
Anymore even other sports like football and baseball are using the lowblow tatics like the WWE to just increase profit without promoting good entertainment.
-
Anyone see lashley hold up big show for a powerslam. He is so damn strong whenever people pick up the big show they always put him on their shoulders. Lashley just picked him up like he was nothing and held him there he, held big show on one shoulder for about a second too.
That is the reason i watch wwe from time to time so i can catch people picking the big show up. We may have another Goldberg here both weigh around 280pd and both have shown ease while lifting big show
-
I can't wait until Ring Of Honor land a TV deal.
ROH > TNA > WWE

Yes I must agree, TNA recently has been doing the lame pethetic jokes like the WWE does, mostly the VKM making fun of DX. Which if the company really wants to succeed in the wrestling world, they should break all known ties with the WWE and become their own brand of wrestling, instead of paying attention to the WWE they should just act like it does not exist.
I wish that the Ring of Honor was closer to Kansas City though, I have never been able to watch a match, only read the results from the events.
Mainly I wish that the WWE would take notice of the pathetic attempts at storylines and fire half of the script writers that way these ill made attempts to draw people into the WWE would stop. Or at least the writers would realize that far out storylines where a pathetic white rapper fights a unbeatable gimmick would not draw any profit.

I am a fan of WWE <imapct, wsx, and ecw.="" i="" am="" a="" fan="" of="" the="" hardyz, edge, rvd, and="" many="" others<br="">Cant wait for No Way out with the main event being HBK and Cena vs Batista and Undertaker and WM 23 involving Vince mcmahon and Donald Trump</imapct,wsx,and>
-
Woot, it's good to see another Hardyz and Edge fan as well. Yeah Wrestlemania is going to be pretty badass this year, with The Hardyz, Edge, Mr.Kennedy, C.M.Punk, King Booker, Finley, and whoever be the eighth man in the MITB match. And I hope Undertaker and HBK wins their repesctful matches. Because I do want to see both of them win the main titles one more time. And it's good to see Mr.Prefect is being inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame this year.
-
I am surprised the King will be in the HOF though
-
! SPEECHLESS

! WHAT?!
ok..this is insane…and scary -
I don't know. Lashley looks too much like Wayne Brady.
I actually like the Boogieman, and I hope he gets more screen time.
TNA rocks more though.
-
It always amused me to think: Pro wrestling is three or four ripped seams from yaoi, and yet manly men feel completely at ease talking of it.

Apparently it's still real to you too, KaizokuFan22.
-
It's a keyfable death.
-
Here is the video of Mr. McMahon's death…
! I know, Wrestling is fake as well.
-
So now I need to choose between watching the Boogeyman every Tuesday or watching Whose Line Line Is It Anyway on ABC Family every Tuesday.
Curse these decisions.
-
I wish wrestling was like the goofy pseudo-super heroic action in the 80's and early 90's instead of the low-brow hillbilly T&A show they have now.
-
I know its not real…:getlost:
just wondering what lead this to happen, that's all... I only seen wwe for almost 9 years now and still dont understand much of some of the stuff
-
What's there to understand? It switched to a pre-recorded segment when McMahon walked through the double doors. McMahon will turn out to be just fine, and he will start an investigation into who planted the bomb in his car. When the "culprit" is revealed, that person will be punished by going against 1 or 2 of the strongest wrestlers and McMahon won't let them be pinned until he says to pin them.

it sounds like this will be the whole Steve austin case incident all over again
-
Or it's all a trick started by McMahon (the character) to extract sympathy from the crowd and his employees. Then he returns, announces the plan, and he becomes an even bigger heel than before, setting him up for some big storyline.
