i think Olvia for me was a big possibility up until she got captured (Roger would've retreived her) and Saulo was a marine so that puts him outta the picture.

Olivia was captured around 20 years ago. Roger died 22 years ago. He wouldn't have been able to save her because he was already dead.
I have a feeling that maybe sengoku of the marines was once part of Rogers crew (its just a hunch really) he probably betrayed Roger and his nakama

i dunno i think whitebeard was more of a rival to Roger than an actual crewmember, this is solely based on the logic that in the story it is believed that whitebeard is the closest one to finding onepiece. If you were apart of a crew wouldnt you know exactly where your captain buried or hid treasure? If you have already know the exact route to get the treasure why not just go? I think Whitebeard has Rogers log or something and has an idea of where one piece is, but i feel the relationship between the two is rivalistic

Hey I look at it like this, since Whitebeard and Gold Roger were rivals why couldn't Shanks from Whitebeards Crew rival a Hawkeye Mihawk from Gold Rogers Crew, with the title of the "World's Greatest Swordsman on the Pirate Kings crew.

I'm pretty sure Zeff was a captain of his own pirate crew. When they were talking about him they said he was the captain of some kind of crew and they even showed his flag.

I can't remember off the top of my head but in one of Daltons flashbacks about Vivi they mention Dragon and it has a year, now I have a feeling that that is connected to the 20 years since the great pirate age started
I think someone from Ohara makes sense, Robin's father was mentioned, to me it seems possible. I am not sure about the time frame but I think there is some time matchup with Olvia's departure and Gol D. Roger's execution (I guess 4 years). I think Gol D. Roger was able to discover everything about the history, that's why he was executed. Olvia was mentioning about some findings, might be related to Gol D. Roger if it means that she solved everything otherwise it would be an independent case.
Luffy's grandfather, if not Gol D. Roger himself, then it is possible he was a member of the crew (I think he should be around Gol D. Roger's age before he was captured/killed).
For the doctor, Kureha is a possibility, but her relationship with Roger might be similar to the relationship between Roger and Gan Fall.
Hawk Eyes seems to be around Shanks's age, and he seems a bit young to be a member of Roger's crew (like father and son). It is still possible, but I also don't think any of Roger's fight-oriented strong crew members would be left alive (Kureha might be an exception).
I don't see how Tom would have been. He only made the ship. If he had been a member- he would have also been arrested on those charges as well as creating the ship.

Shanks is 37 now. minus 22 or so years and you'll see he was a very young teen at the time. 22 years ago was when Roger was executed. It took several years before he conquered the Grandline i remember reading. So Shanks would have been a young boy at the time of Roger's journey or even Whitebeard's for that matter.

Thoug I would not rule Dragon beeing a crew member of Roger, I think it is highly improbable. In Roguetown, Smoker said he had not seen him since Roger's execution. Whatever he did at that time, had he been a crew memeber, he would probably have been more recognized (though smoker was still a kid at that time).
Then during a meeting of the gouvernements part of WG (as vivi is about 10 and wapol already king of Drum), Dragon is first referred to as a rising threat to the current world order. Had he been a Roger's crew member, he would probably have taken more seriously way sooner than that. (though having someone as Dragon as navigator for instance, assuming he can control weather with some kind of special power would definitely kick ass)
Crocus (assuming is not lying) could not possibly be Roger's doctor as he said having been the twin's cape guardian for the last 50 years.
Tom is only said to have built the ship and I cannot remember any mention of date between the day he built the Jakson Oro and the day the WG first arrest him. I would not however use the "had he been a crew member he would have been charged for it" argument as it was clearly said that the WG only charged Tom in order to get the plans of Pluto, not for the sake of arresting him. Still, the single fact that he was still on the island teaching Franky and Iceburg would rule out the possibility of him beeing Roger's on-board shipright.
I like the idea of Mihawk having been Roger's swordsman. He possibly was quite young but you have to remember Luffy and co are currently in their high tenns, early twenty, given Mihawk's serious abilities, he could have been there at some point. It would also explain why he became a shichibukai though he does not seem to care much about the WG.
Kureah is for me one obvious choice as Roger's doctor and I like Zeff having been is cook. Though Kureha seems to know the old pirate, Zeff doesn't mention anything about roger. Still I like the idea of Luffy's crew beeing somewhat similar to Roger's.
For me possible crew members would be Kureah and Mihawk. I don't think Zeff was one since he never even mentioned him. However it could also possible be that Whitebeard once was in Rogers crew.

We all know how Oda likes to do foreshadowing. I wonder if we will ever get to see former Roger enemies that the barkeeper in Louge Town mentioned.

Well I would not rule it out as a lot of characters seems to have some hidden agendas. For instance, Crocodile only became Shichibukai to have the possibility to collect info on old weapons. The same is also true for Spandam. One could conclude the WG is looking for the weapons, however, those who are searching them seems to do so on personal purpose (ah the old world domination dream!). Although in the marine, Smoker and Ao koji both also seems to have specific reasons for not arresting Luffy as they could both have. Don Flamingo also semms to use is Shichibukai status only to be able to form the era of piracy. So I would not give too much importance for one's role within the WG as they all seems to use the WG organisation to reach a certain (and personal goal)
I don't know about Nico Olivia (though I said I like to think Roger's crew was somewhat similar to Luffy's) just because since I'm in the anime, I still don't have much info about her. It would make sense though as Roger would definitely need someone to decrypt the poneglyphes.

Crocus is the doctor taking car of Laboon at the entry of Grand Line (Reverse mountain). A lot of people seem to think is was one of Roger's crew member as he apparently talk to him as Luffy leave, wondering if he may have meet the new pirate king. As I said however, though this sentence is somewhat ambigous I do not support this theory.

I never thought about that. Could be possible though (and even fun). I also always felt that we know to little about Zorro's past. In fact I think we know to little about Nami and Sanji as well and I's like to know why the ended up orphans.

I like your theory, it makes a lot of sense. Zeff commented once (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong) that he know someone with a 'spear' like Luffy's back in the Krieg Arc.
I wouldn't be surprised though if half of your theory comes out true, and the other half comes out bogus. We'll just have to wait another 8 years or so to see at this rate

At least is how I see it, remember the meaning of Shichibukai.
If Crocus has been taking care of Laboon since the time those pirates had left (I guess around 50-60 years ago), then Gol D. Roger should be around Luffy's age or maybe younger, when Crocus had decided to stay there. I don't think that is a likely scenario. If there is a crew-related possibility, then the only thing that comes to my mind is that Crocus came to Grandline with Gol D. Roger and then left his crew after a short period of time.

i was watching Jaya arc and one episode really hit me…
... Blackbeard sad to Nami "Sky Island exists" and he was sure about that.
That makes me think that he went to sky island, and the only other Pirate which we know went to Sky Island is Roger...
So Blackbeard is another possible person who has been in Roger's Crew.
Further thinking says that blackbeard was in Whitebeard crew (we know as a fact) so could actually Whitebeard's crew have been actually part of Gold Roger in the past, and after Gold Roger was capture, they just split, so Whitebeard actually being a captain of his own crew? this is just speculation....
But it seems Blackbeard had already gone to Sky Island....

I think a fishperson or merperson was part of Rodger's crew. The keel part of the ship is the most vulnerable part of the ship. With a fishman he/she can help scout the underwater conditions(looking out for rocks, reefs, threating seamonsters, etc. Also they are more familar with the ocean currents, and are more familiar with the ocean enviroment as well.
With that being said perhaps Jinibei was part of his crew(before he became captain of the fishmen pirates). We know that he is a schibuaki who works for humans so there is no reason to think he couldn't have been associated with humans before that time.
Also I agree that Olivia and/or Robin's father was part of Rodger's crew. Rodger had to learn about the ancient language from somewhere.
Besides Dragon, pretty much every name here is unlikely. Almost more than that, some would be extremely corny.
As I said in earlier threads, I think he may have done it alone and had no crew with him. Just relying on the support of friends along the way like Tom.
