HA HA HA that was good, although I do hate Harry Potter with all my fury. That stupid bitch of a writer never even made the stories herself. She just copyrighted them from myths around europe.
Still I would like to see how the magic is actually used in Fairy Tail. If used nicely then this manga could become my favorite.

Well, MAR and Flame of Recca use magicm but it's more like magically charged weapons and objects.

Yes. Althought I hate magic, I want to use it in my series I'm working on, I have a villian that uses magic, but my main character doesn't use magic so I'm wonder how he would defeat the villain.

He'd use a antimagic scroll and stab the bastard. Simple enough.
the thing about magic is that you have to decide how it's handled in your world. Is it a divine gift, or is there some other source, yadda yadda … so the first thing you do is set limitations. Withouth that you're screwed.

This series is quite impresive:blink: , and I liked rave so I hope it doesn't go downhill like a ninja manga I know about

I always liked Rave. It didn't reinvent the genre, but I thought it was an adequate shonen series with cool characters. If this series is as good I won't complain. And like with Rave, I took more of a liking to the sidekicks then the two leads, so I'm glad they showed up as soon as they did in this series.
Also, I don't care what her powers are or who she is, but She's my new favorite shounen female character. (Bottom Right Panel.)
If you like the brunette then you'd probably like Julia from Rave master as well. She's very similar in both looks and personality (from what little we've seen from of this girl) except she's blonde.
Hiro sure loves Sieg Hart's look. This is the third time he's used that character design in a series. incedenttaly he actually created this series years ago, only the two leads that looked alot different.
Also, am I the only one that thinks the Ichigo/Zoro guy looks more like Kohza?
Since it's only been 2 chapters I don't expect them to get into the big fight scenes so soon, but the group of shadowy figures lead me to believe they will eventualy. When that happends I hope the fight scenes look as good as these…

I finally got around to chapter 2. Man, this is good fun. So far my favorites are Elfman, because he's a typical Japanese thug type and he looks to be a strong fist fighter, and the master, because he's awesome.

I'm really liking it so far.
The art-style is reminiscent of One Piece, but that's never a bad thing.

At times when I was reading it, I kept thinking about OP, but I enjoyed it.
! The snow field at the end of the second chapter reminded me of the early parts of Rave where Haru and Elie first set off together.
! Fire is a bit of an over used element, and when Natsu breathed out fire it did make me think Sasuke's move, but then again eating fire is different. Waaaaay different.I always liked Rave. That's just how I feel.

This looks like it could become even better than Rave. I really love the design and the characters and so far, the story is really original.

IRC's really easy, you just need to take a bit of time to learn it.

This manga made me LoL several times, it's got a similar feel to one piece, and frankly that ain't a bad thing!
I also am with whoever said earlier "I generally don't like magic-related stuff," with a few excepetions. So far I am quite interested in this tho.

I wonder how the story will be. Will it have a set goal like in One Piece or will the protaginist just take what comes to them like in Bleach? I'm hoping it'll be the former.

He did say he wanted to find Igneel (or whatever that Dragon's name was) so I'm guessing that could be a long term goal. But then again, didn't Haru want to find his dad as an initial goal?
Anyways, chapter 3 raw is out. Brings a resolution to what was started in chapter 2, but doesn't really give any hint on what's going to happen next. That makes the wait even more unbearable…

To me, the story's setting themselves up to be more like something of Eureka seveN or Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, in which the gang in the beginning does some odd jobs here or there but somewhere in the middle, the real mission shows up.

Wow, finally another manga I'm actually interested in. Though I'm usually a bit wary of magic in these stories (to easy to screw up), I'm really liking how it's shaped up so far. As long as it can keep to it's own boundaries with it and stay entertaining, it's good. ^_^
Natsu's ability seems rather interesting, though I wonder if there's other good ways he can use it (like rubber with Luffy; ah, there goes comparing it to OP again xD ).

I officially love Natu's fighting style. I should of known it'd be awesome given the fights in Rave, but his is even cooler than Let/Julia's was. Now I'm really excited to see what exacly, Elfman, Loki, Kana and Gray can do with their "Rawk Fist", Ring, Tarot Card and…Necklace? That is if Gray was chanelling his necklace. That could make him waaaay to similar to Musica, whom he already looks like

I am unsure what that clock-thing does. And I also wonder how many different summons that girl can do. The cat thing is cute, and Natsu has an interesting back story so far. I too hope that the story eventually ends up to revealing an end goal. (Like Natsu finding that father dragon) Looks like it will be light hearted and will avoid getting too sappy. I'll give it a few more chapters before I bestow my judgement on it.
