OK, here
s my N00Bish question: What
s a fanlisting? -
Taken from Google:
@Google:A fanlisting is a website created by a fan of a particular subject, with the aim of gathering together a list (either in database format or hardcoded HTML) of other fans of that particular subject. The actual concept has probably been around for a long time but the term 'fanlisting' as a one-word noun was first used when Janine Mischor created The Fanlistings Network in 2000.

Can you burn an ISO to a DVD-R ?

This is kinda a BIG and tought question. I asked it before but never got an answer.
When was Arlong Park and/or Arlong Park Forums originally founded? And at what chapter and anime episode was OP on at the time?
-
Sorry to triple up the question order, but:
I know what IMO means, but what does IMHO mean? -
Octogon, I'm speaking from assumption, but I think so? (Sorry, not much help.)
Buuhan1, I wasn't around when AP was founded, but probably it was founded sometime late 2003. First forum ever was created sometime on October 2003… http://web.archive.org/web/20031007022351/http://alp.psyprod.com/ Main site would be earlier than that, I expect.
COWMAKAZE, in my honest opinion.
-
Thank you, ocean. I had come up with many strange concoctions for that particular phrase, such as "In my Hellish opinion", and now I feel lie an idiot for not considering something as obvious as that. Thank you.
-
COWMAKAZE, in my honest opinion.
Really? I always thought it mean humble. Anyway, this leads me to a question. Whats the difference between your opinion and your honest opinion?
-
it's just an adjective; used to describe something. Would you like cookies, or Delicious cookies. they're both cookies, the second just sounds better.
Can someone explain this rabbit on the moon legend. Someone just reminded me about it. I see references of it in lots of anime but wonder where it comes from.
-
Yeah, there's different variations. Like sometimes you see IMOHO (In My Own Humble Opinion).
The one that I can never remember the meaning is IIRC…I don't even know if I typed it right...what does that mean?
-
If I Remember Correctly..
-
@Octogon:
Can you burn an ISO to a DVD-R ?
There appears to be an ISO format designed for DVDs. (tests by making an ISO containing almost 2Gb)
If the ISO is designed as a CD image, it's probably better to burn it on a CD-R, just to avoid compatibility issues.

@Bad-Beat:
If I Remember Correctly..
How appropriate. No wonder I never can remember it. :laugh:

The postman likes to give himself a little 'bonus' every now and then for his hard work and services.

How can you delete your AP Forums account if you do not wish to use it anymore? (Can't find an answer)
-
Well, I'd suggest asking a moderator; I know that's how AWB1 got himself permabanned.
Of course, the account will be closed, but your SOUL is still ours. :evil smile illuminated by glowing branding iron:

what does the acronym HQ stand for?
-

-
this is gonna sound noobish probably, but what does "OTP" stand for?
-
(not sure either neko)
here's my question to add to the pile.Why do people's avatars keep disapearign randomly? I know why a bunch disapeared when the site went down a few weeks ago. But now I keep seeing new people with broken links. And it's jus the Ava's not the Sigs. I'm just curios.
-
i think i know why the avatars were disappearing…. i noticed the forums don't allow direct-linking anymore, you have to upload an avatar from your computer instead.
as for the sigs, no idea, unless they broke the size limit rule or something

@pirateneko:

One True Pairing.
-
Is Califa's fruit Paramecia-type or a bubbly Logia?
-
I think it's paramecia since she can't turn into bubbles, she can only manipulate them.
-
Kind of noobish, what does IMO mean?
-
That was answered on the first page of this thread. XD It means In My Opinion.
-
@Bad-Beat:
One True Pairing.
I never knew what that stood for either. Interesting, RoZo=OTP.
In My Opinion is IMO. Maybe someone should wip up an acronym guide. Hell, I bet there's one of Wikipedia. I'll check.
EDIT: Cosmic beat me to it.

Is it possible to play imported video games on U.S. released consoles?
And what does OTP mean? Outta the park?
-
OTP = One True Pairing.
That was asked on the first page. XD
-
Wether you can play imports depends wildly on the game and the console and other factors.
Some Xbox360 games have no region limits, so they can be imported; some people have taken to this to combat their $60 price tags in the US.
The PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox all seem to require gimmicks, ranging from loader discs to hardware fixes, which work around limits on playing out-of-region games.
The NES and Famicom (Japan) use different cartridge pinouts, but some of the NES-alike consoles being sold today will play both with an adapter card.

Is it true that the official DVD of the 6th One Piece movie, Baron Omatsuri and The Secret Island has english subtitles?
