which comics? the zelda comics and star wars one i just drew straight on my sketchbook using the pilot precise v7 pens. the ones i ink with nibs, though, i use kent paper, which is of the same material as a manga manuscript paper.
gaytrek is on a regular kent paper. the gintama doujin is on manga manuscript paper that's slightly larger than A4 size.

Ah cool. I have had a pack of Kent Paper as a gift from my sister(don't know where she got them during her trip). Never used them since there were only 20 of them. I really need a job to support my hobby.
edit: On another note, who did you get your digital screen tones from? Working on a comic for Halloween.

they're not digital tones.
the gray areas you see are all done with just 25% gray brush on photoshop. to turn it into a tone, you cut and paste the grays to a new window, then do:
image > mode > bitmap
set resolution to 300 (print size), and pick "halftone pattern"
then on the next menu you can pick whether you want square, round, lines, etc. i just use the round.
after you're done, cut and paste back to the comic page.

2. i will take fanart requests. the ones i can do FOR SURE are OP, KHR, fairy tail, eyeshield 21, SKET DANCE, and gintama. i am willing to try other ones as well, such as saint seiya, kenshin, houshin engi, dragon ball Z, berserk, but not series i have no idea about.
3. i will NOT draw your original characters. sorry. not that i don't like the original characters from the early batch, but they tend to give me too much trouble and i end up procrastinating drawing them for a year.

4. i DON'T DO NARUTO OR BLEACH. but you know that already

6. i take ANY kinds of request, but please keep in mind that all these sketches are drawn on half a printer paper, and that's a pretty small area. i don't like putting a limit on how many characters i'm willing to draw per request, but please don't ask me to fit in a ridiculous number of people on a tiny page. sometimes i'm able to do that, but it just takes up too much time. it's amazing that i could fit in all the characters in the "gintama party" idea.
7. also keep in mind that THESE WILL BE SKETCHES. these will not finished product. so don't ask for a comic, a colorspread, or anything that complicates the idea of "a sketch."

Just cause I'm an actiony kinda guy, I'd like to request either a Zoro vs Law or Zoro vs Killer scene. (I haven't really seen too many action scenes from you, so if you don't want to do it, maybe just them staring each other down or something could be cool, but you don't have to.)
