ESPN Announcer at halftime: Pass interference being called on the Patriots makes Baby Jesus cry. Anyway, the Bears/Panthers are totally going to kick Seattle's ass next week.
Me: Hey, remember a few years ago when the officials let the Patriots mug Jerry Rice on every play? Why did they let them cheat so much during all of their Super Bowl runs anyway?

Anyway, remaining matchups this weekend:
Carolina Panthers versus Chicago Bears
It's supposed to be a balmy 40+ degrees, so weather probably won't affect the Panthers so much. I still want the Bears to win so we can see an updated version of the Super Bowl Shuffle.

Pittsburg Steelers versus Indianapolis Colts
Indoors so weather isn't a factor. Colts to win.

If its really windy, I thing the Panther have a chance because they got the better running game. If the Bears offense gets on track and become a scoring maching then they're going to the SuperBowl. If not then Seattle will go to the big game.

The Colts could be rusty after a lackluster last few weeks and having a bye. Despite it all I don't see Indianappolis losing this game.

Yup, but that Turnover being cancelled is going to be mired in contraversy. And Steelers got the Hand of God saving them from the tie game and overtime…and it looks like another call just happened for the Bears.
(That Colt's game was truly an Ulcer game. I give 3 Rolaids.)

the play-offs come and go so quick, though it maybe because I have limited amounts of NFL action I'm allowed to watch, living in London. Definatly been a close couple of games so far.

True, but the same can be said that non-call on the Fourth and Inches for the Steelers, which was one of the most baffling decisions by a zebra crew I've ever seen. It should have been Fourth and Five for the Steelers or a first down for them or something. A big defensive play gives the Colts all of the time in the world while a first down still keeps the Steelers from wasting as much time as they did.

Ultimately, the Steelers owe their win to a major defensive play by their QB of all people. Otherwise, that's a fumble return for a touchdown. Of course, not running it on Third and Two instead of throwing the ball was a mistake for the Colts.

Fact is, most people will see the game through their biased colored glasses. You will usually see the play that puts your team in the best light.

But one thing cannot be denied, Bill Cowers has the most facinating facial expressions.

Gotta agree with you there. The second they said he hadnt missed a kick all year I turned off the TV and told my family that it was guaranteed he'd miss the kick. Sure enough the Colts lost. I hope Pittsburgh stomps Denver. The Broncos beat the Chargers AGAIN. And I can't forgive them for that. :P The Chargers are mah team.

Yeah, and the Patriots didn't have a chance against the Rams in 2001. They were supposed to lose it big time. In football only two things are certain…
1. The score will be 0-0 at the start of the game...
2. The team with more points at the end of the 4th will be declared the winner. (except in the case of a tie, in which case the next team that scores will be the winner.)
