@Alfiere I can't believe I'm writing this about Luffy of any people, but the Luffy from 25 years ago definitely had more sense in his head. More than this Joyboy fellow who usurped the protagonist seat and laughs at every opportunity, in any case.

Who do you think will assist Loki as the villain of this arc? There’s usually more than one villain
I was hoping the Holy Knights might show up, but it might be too soon for them
This seems to be the arc in which giants are finally a threat. My crazy dream is that Loki’s faction has a reduced number of enemies, allowing for 2x1 or 3x1 fights between Strawhats and a giant. That would show how powerful giants are, while also giving us a bit of a change from the traditional 1x1 fights of most arcs, and good old crew interactions and fun.
-
I don't expect Loki to have a numerous faction either, but I do expect the SH to fight giant enemies in the giant land.
We've seen them fighting giants in Wano, but those were noted to be imperfect. The natural evolution is to fight properly trained giants.
-
I dont know what you guys are talking about. Luffy has been consistent in his character so far.
Only when he is in Gear 5, is when he is a bit zany but even then he is consistent -
About Loki's DF, the thing about Fenrir, is that while he was a VERY big wolf....he was still just a wolf. He really didn't have any special powers. And Norse style dragons like Nidhoggr have an issue where they actually look a fair bit like Eastern style dragons in having long, serpentine bodies with no wings, so it would bare a resemblance to Kaido.
-
Morj theorizes that the legendary DF is the Human Human Fruit: Model Elbaf, based on Dorry and Brogy mentioning a warrior god Elbaf that decides the right and wrong through might. He also theorized that it would be a colossal entity able to wield those gigantic swords we saw in Elbaf and Onigashima.
I'm torn on what the fruit could be. I like the Snake Snake model Jormungandr idea because of the "snake soaked in blood" Dorry and Brogy also mention back in Little Garden that is the only thing they can't cut. However, it would also be based on Surtur, the fire giants meant to destroy Asgard in Ragnarok, and it would fit with Hajrudin pursuing the fire fruit as a replacement in Dressrosa.
-
Seeing that he calls himself the sun god, how much nika being related to Elbaf is being brought up, and how G5 turns boyjoy into a giant in a way that seems unrelated to cartoon powers, i'm buying the theory of the fruit being the actual gum gum, that at some point was switched with the nika fruit without the giants realizing, cause they're idiots.

All I want is magic eyes like a sharingan, c’mon Oda it’s long past due
-
@Alfiere The thing is that Vegapunk said there was no Gomu Gomu fruit in the Devil Fruit books of old.
-
Probably not reliable, but
Croc - Sand - Alabasta
Kata - food - Whole Cake IslandDevil Fruit vary from matching the arc/country to the character and their traits.
Will Loki's DF be more about his personality and ambition or Elbaf? It can be both.
If I think of Lucci, does his DF match EL/W7 or more of his personality and job of a killer.
Away from that and I know this is obvious because the arc just started, but I still feel like there is a huge reveal when it comes to Giants that Oda has been trying to spell out. Oda casually gave away that Wano was the home of kairoseki and it wasn't a big deal relatively to the arc.
So far, it's been just that Giants live long and are a valuable fighting force. Maybe some kind of resource. This and what Oda left open about the Buccaneers got me curious.
It's all in VP's dialogue. Why is someone that is supposed to be in a vegetative state
- able to move
- find where Bonney is
If Buccaneers have Giants blood, do Giants also have a trait that is superior to this mystery attribute?
The closest thing that sounds like is when unconscious Luffy was heard underwater by Law's crew. KO'd still talking to Momo, which is kinda understandable, but why can Law's crew hear him?
Maybe the Buccaneer ability is some kinda ability that allows you to be more sensitive and move unconsciously temporarily. That sounds like too much tho yuck. That is a long stretch from generating fire, electro, and manipulating water. Seems unfair to the other races. Most likely something more simple.
Whatever it is, I can see why Lunarians and Buccaneers were wiped out. Too dangerous. Oda had the nerve to throw that metal in there too. Hopefully it is just some nice jewelry for Bonney and not anything more.

I'm not sure we will see Big Mum's children again but it is funny rereading her flashback and see the characters reappears. If it is brought again, I think it will be through a flashback again and explains what happened between Loki and Mum.

The X on the arm of luffy has to be a Vivi marking right?
Makes no sense otherwise -

Makes no sense otherwiseShe probably added it to the picture (that’s why it has a different texture), as a clue that she’s alive, safe, and somewhere related to the newspaper to be able to do that to the print.

@Chams-0
Same those were my thoughts exactly -
I think we're def going to be reuniting with Vivi either during the Elbaf arc or the next arc. The Alabasta Straw Hats being told by Robin about the X mark would presumably lead them to conclude that Vivi is not only safe, but also had contact with Morgans, who in turn would naturally have info in regards to her whereabouts. So it's possible the Straw Hats may visit Morgans because of that.
