Well I just thought it was note worthy because its particularly extreme, and it seems to line up with dub batch orderings so it probably stemmed from a mistake made in the process of preparing to add them.

Okay so the one piece wiki has now listed Madleiene Morris as Doran, Lara Woodhull as Ally, and Kate Oxley as Biyo, on top of listing Ryan Reynolds (not that one) as Sind near it's release. Yeah idk where they are getting these. As far as I know they only listed Mochas VA after funi announced it, so I have no idea if these are guesses and they got info somehow. There are other names kids they havent put the VAs for, but I don't think they've all spoken yet

It's definitely guesses. The same person edited all these pages (which you can see in the editing history) and at one point they had Mocha listed with a different actress entirely

Ah okay, that actually kinda makes me mad cuz the wiki editors are strict about that but when I put up the s10 v2 cover they kept taking it down despite the fact that as far as I could tell I was following the rules. Thats totally fair.

One Piece gang. What is the 411 on the dub business? Any new line changes or new actors to play the clown prince of gas?

Jerry Jewel is here to stay for Caesar, he is really growing on me
-
Ah cool, I think the wiki actually guessed all of the VAs listed correctly which is surprising. They've come out every 2 days thus far so if we get anymore it should be the 30th. They could be done but I hope they list additional voices or give us VAs that appear in the next set.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Nvm they got Ally wrong (I thought they had no VA listed for her). Still though pretty accurate
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
They haven't listed Konbu, but the wiki doesn't have a guess VA for him so he might've not spoken.

Throwback to this clip here when Nami Forgives Jinbei, I love Luci's delivery here she's truly great as Nami

https://youtube/ZILQ7BsGPFoVid mustve been deleted, but yes I agree. Someone posted this specific clip once on twitter and everyone complained about it. I know thats par for the course but it just really reminds me that sub elitists do not have ears. Even then can we please just like, let other people like other things and not through a fit if they post a clip from them? Regardless yeah Luci is absoultely amazing and nails every scene she is in. I just wish we had more future scenes to look forward to for nami.

I found this by PURE random chance but the canadian listing of s10 v2 (the US one doesnt for some reason) confirms that Hands up will be included. It's on the product description section near the bottom https://www.amazon.ca/One-Piece-Season-Ten-Voyage/dp/B08762J5VW

That's promising! Definitely a good sign, I'd trust it

Theres no way they would include it if it wasn't in there, an incorrect run time via estimate is one thing but things like the special features are recieved directly from funi to list. I know you're not exactly extraordinarily doubtful but Im just saying I would say its nothing less than confirmation
-
Sounds hopeful, but I wouldn’t yet call a listing “nothing less than a confirmation.” They’re wrong all the time in a variety of ways—not just runtime. But yeah, it’s definitely hopeful news. Fingers crossed I don’t have to listen to We Go for much longer.
-
Yeah, especially after what happened with Season 2 Second Voyage, Season 3 Fifth Voyage, Season 5 Voyage four, and Season 8 Voyage three.

My point mostly was that the errors they have are either from pre-existing presets or estimates. If something is wrong with release info its always because it has been true in past releaes (cast, directors, runtime, etc.). For hands up, it of course has not been on any past release and in general they'll only list the special features the publisher gives them. Basically the only way they couldve screwed it up is if an employee for some reason was ignorant and disregarded guidelines, and was familar enough with the series to know we go was the next opening but NOT know it was skipped in the simulcast. And thats… unlikely to say the least.

Yeah, especially after what happened with Season 2 Second Voyage, Season 3 Fifth Voyage, Season 5 Voyage four, and Season 8 Voyage three.
what happened exactly?
-
Season 2 Second Voyage - The originally listing for the volume when it was supposed to come out said the volume would cover Episodes 67 - 79, when it was getting to closer to time for it's release it was change to Episodes 67 - 78.
Season 3 Fifth Voyage - It was the infamous G8 arc listing, which originally listing for the dvd set said it will be covering Episodes 196 - 206, which was revealed when people were starting to get the dvd set that it only cover episodes 196 - 205.
Season 5 Voyage Four - It supposed to have a Behind the Scene feature with Choppper's voice actreess, but they put the interview feature from Season 4, Voyage 4 instead. The Australia release of Season 5 Voyage Four have the correct Behind the Scene feature.
Season 8 Voyage Three- The originally listing for the volume said it's going to cover Episodes 481 - 492, it wasn't until was getting close to release of the dvd set that they change the listing to Episodes 481 - 491.

3 of those are simply inconsistent episode numbers that was confusing based upon licensing, and the other wasnt a listing error as much as it was an error on funis part. Regardless when it comes to hands up, I dont see how their would be any room for confusion. Funi has never had the license before and its highly unlikely the person who wrote this info was famillar enough to know its the next opening but not know about the licensing info. I am confident enough that its correct that if its not than I promise to never argue about such things ever again lol.
-
Excellent news on the listing showing Hands Up! That's about all the confirmation I need.
-
Part of me kinda wonders if hands up will make proper credits more likely. Idk what but maybe something was lost and/or forgotten in regards to we go that made traditional credits not possible? I know thats not likely but idk man it would finally provide some sort of explanation. Granted it won't be the end of the world as long as they at least credit people eventually like they have been.

Once again, you have more faith in Funimation being error-free than the rest of us.
It’s a good sign, but not yet a confirmation.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Also, no. They should credit people during the episode they’re featured in. You don’t credit someone only on social media separately from the product. That’s f***ed up.

As for the first thing I just find this being an error in particular EXTREMELY unlikely, even if funimation were the most incompetent company in the world. As for the 2nd thing, I agree! I guess "not the end of the world" wasnt the best phrase. I was just saying crediting your actors at all is better than not doing so. You should always credit them in proper credits though and the fact they havent been is ridiculous.

Yes, you made your opinion clear about five messages ago.

Nice ignoring half of what I said for the sake of calling me repititive… like okay.

Sorry if I’m rude, but I’m low on patience lately and you’ve been very pedantic and self-certain/stubborn and redundant.

Dude we are talking about entertainment, it is not that serious. Like me simply… repeating things too much for your liking? Like I'm so sorry thats such a horrid crime that is totally deserving of such an attitude. Like I'm sorry but even if I'm adamant about a point at the end of the day its not a huge deal. You truly find me so annoying ignore what I say.
-
I'll ask both of you to watch it. Zephray, if you have a problem with Blake's argument, either lay out the issue without getting testy about it or back off.
And Blake, calling the issue not serious because it's about entertainmeny is belittling. We're all here to discuss what we like and don't like about lots of things, and no one wants to be told their feelings on whatever subject are unimportant.

I apologize if I came off as belittling with that point. I wasn't trying to say opinions about such things don't matter, but rather that it is nothing to get such an attitude over, because its in no way a personal issue. Me simply laying out an opinion about entertainment is in no way rude and such rudeness back isn't exactly called for. I love discussing these things, that's why I'm here. Again though I do apologize if my wording didn't sufficiently explain my intent.

Fair enough. I’m just low on patience.

Funi has been posting the cast every 2 days at 5pm est, and we're past that so they're probably done. Really wish they would've credited the additional voices.

That fact that they did this at all, considering they've never really done this before (outside of cast announcements prior to a new arc being released), probably shows that they're aware of the credits issue, and will hopefully resolve it with the next batch of episodes. Or perhaps the batch after, if these credits have been done up already. It may take a release or two before we see changes.

The thing is… there is seemingly no reason for them to be done that way in the first place? It seems like a toei issue... but why would toei not want to credit actors? It's an odd situation all around. Regardless yes I really hope this is fixed in the future

I agree that it's likely a Toei issue. As in Toei has more control over how things are presented in the North American release, and for whatever reason decided what should be presented in the credits, despite FUNi's own practices from the past 13 years.

Not even just funis practices… literally practices for anything ever? It's extraordinarily rare for any piece of media to not fully credit people involved in the production because it is just the morally right thing to do.

Only one week away. I’m excited. Going to buy the digital version to support the dub, even though I’ll be rationing and will only watch a few episodes before my dvd arrives. Here’s hoping they announce voyage three very soon. This schedule is too slow.

Unfortunately I don't have the supreme patience you do and will probably just binge it day one lol. But yeah this schedule is a bit frustrating even if understandable, fingers crossed the V3 dvd goes up in november preorders
-
Even if it does release in November we might not find out until quite a while after solicitations for the month are supposed to go up (if the last two voyages were any indication)…

Thats possible of course but stampede went up in october preorders and it seems like they intentionally waited until it was announced at funi con to put voyage 2 up for preorder.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
the tv specials were supposed to go up digitally today, but the inexplicabley werent... except for adventure of nebulandia on microsoft? I mean I own the blurays so it doesnt personally effect me but its still odd.
-
That’s funny, though I’m not too surprised. See what I mean about errors being made constantly? Whether it’s Funimation or Toei, they don’t seem to have their shit together 100%.
Crossing my fingers for voyage three as soon as possible. My rationing only last one episode a week or so, so a set every two months was ideal for me. A set every six weeks was a dream—meant I could watch two a week.

Personally, I think it takes more patience not to ration them. I marathoned the last set, and the patience for this multiple month break has been way more irritating than spreading out the episodes and having a new one every single week for months.
-

I never said mistakes aren't made, it's just that the hands up thing in particular being a mistake is incredibly unlikely.
-
Only as unlikely as Toei completely forgetting release day for five or so of its titles.

I would say it's easier to forget something than to list something so specifically incorrect (even if the former is still incredibly unproffesional.)

What makes one thing more likely than the other? A dude who works there having bad information isn't more or less likely than another dude forgetting to flip a digital switch. I think you're parsing to win an argument here. The point I'm making is that these companies are unprofessional and slip up frequently in a myriad of ways, and we shouldn't be surprised when they slip up. You can agree or disagree with that statement, but as I've noted before, you're being unnecessarily pedantic.

The thing with hands up was that forgetting something wouldn't be invloved, or at least you would need weirdly specfic information. If whoever put the info up was specifically told that hands up would be included, which is most likely what happened, theres no event it wouldnt be considering if its being noted now when funimation didnt have it before. Not impossible just an incredibley unlikely scenario that the employee would know hands up was the next opening but NOT that funimation didn' have it. This is just like, genuinely what I think, I'm not trying to win an argument for the sake of it. In fact if anything you're the one who brought it up again. Regardless we will find out soon I suppose.
-
I hope it’s on the DVD, and it’s a good sign that it was listed. I’m hopeful. But they post wrong information all the time. The guy easily could’ve looked up the openings online and wrote them in the description without being aware of the weird, random licensing problems. I know better by now than to trust anything Funimation posts unless it’s very direct or has evidence of some sort.

Of course I've never worked in the industry, but I'm PRETTY sure special features are usually added to sites through a list provided. I think it's also important to remember that this is for a textless version as an extra, and the site specifically mentions its on the first disc, which it would be given it starts on 591. Licensing issues with hands up seem to be resolved anyways, by the time crunchroll added the one piece backlog they had obtained the rights and they've generally had a worse opening licensing track record.
-
Ah. Your points about the specificity of it being on the first disc and more importantly the bit about Crunchyroll having the theme make me more hopeful.
And when I said, “the guy,” I meant the person working at Funimation who supplies the information for these listings.
-
And when I said, “the guy,” I meant the person working at Funimation who supplies the information for these listings.
Hmm in that case I just don't see the person missing the fact they didn't have the rights to it surely. Again technically possible, but I would still say it's more or less confirmed by this point. Regardless yeah I should've mentionted the crunchyroll thing earlier. Kind of off topic but they never added hands up to the initial simulcast episodes so the last 10 keep using we go which must be jarring as a first time viewer. Although from my little experience with crunchyroll they seem to pretty much never fix old mistakes lol.
-
Gosh. I’m looking forward to the new episodes. Less than a week away! Despite my rationing, I’ll definitely skip ahead to hear Vergo. Momo isn’t until the third set, I think. Hopefully he doesn’t sound annoying; kids can be tricky to cast, and pretty much all of the ones they’ve casted for PH so far have been believable but whiny and annoying. Partly the characters’ fault, so hopefully we get a more interesting performance from Momo’s actor.
