The only thing I hope is that Bambina and Heracles could survive, due to their regeneration ability. I completely dislike how things are going on but that is. Sure the graphic art is great.EDIT: where is Guinness when the Kings are attacking GOD/Neo?

This kind of reminds me of a problem that I had with Naruto's ending - if the main villain is already way out of the league of everyone present, what's the point in powering them up even further? At least when Dragon Ball had the villains power up, it was usually after one of the heroes proved to be strong enough to take them on - Freeza went into his third form when Piccolo showed up, and into his fourth when Gohan got a boost in power from sheer rage. Cell only managed to get his perfect form after Vegeta beat the tar out of him and then got cocky.
By comparison, there was already no way that Toriko could beat Neo before this chapter unless the mysterious third demon is a Deus Ex Machina of the highest order; making Neo even stronger just makes that gap between them even greater.

But the 8 kings were capable of doing just that. Acacia couldn't really afford to let Toriko (and the others, most likely) eat God (and absolutely doesn't want them to, as he is the one he is supposed to eat it and yadda yadda), but he was being stalled / beaten by the 8 kings. Bambina smacking him around, Derous blasting him with dimensional beams, Deer King trapping him in a space where time moves way too fast. His evolution was a part of this, a neccesity to not die to the 8 kings.So while he is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY out of Toriko's league for now (who, obviously, will need to eat God to control his inner demons, especially the third), his evolution was needed. Now we'll see the return of Coco/Sani/Zebra, Toriko coming back after his third demon showed himself, the Center eating guy coming back (forgot his name), Buranchi coming back, the rescue of Midora, traveling to outer space. That's why I said earlier that this is end-game material, but not the final fight: too much to cover yet, a little bit more room for power-ups and a change of location will happen.TL;DR: Neo's / Acacia's evolution wasn't because of Toriko, but the 8 kings.

so from this arc. it can be concluded that.the 4 king is die, 2/8 king die. acacia/neo is upgrade to whole new level from being a punching bag to the 1 hit ko 8 king. tengu found cure water. aimaru going for centre. chichi reviving 3 kings.and i also pretty sure god got new taste like mellow cola.the 1 acacia eat is not the real 1 and komatsu will bring out the real god for toriko.

Iam just taking Toriko as a fun ride with impressive visuals, the story was thrown away after PAIR, so it´s sad that it is not as satisfying as it could be, but who can you blame^^

Which is unfortunate because I was loving it. No clue why they went into full on speeeeeed mode. Still an insane ride, and I look forward to the conclusion

I mean…isn't Midora technically the strongest character now in the series, with the knowledge that he can copy ALL abilities and he started with the EXTREMELY overpowered Food Luck of Joa? I mean... Can't he just copy the abilities of NEO and Acacia when he confronts them? lol

Assuming it'll be Toriko who'll finish Neo, how the hell Neo is going to defeat Midora?I mean I can't see Midora being defeated right now. Before Food Luck I'd say Neo could eat his Gourmet Cells and basically devour him. With Food Luck here I believe that won't be happening.And since Midora wasn't mentioned to have a White Oni I can't see him besting Neo either.Good chapter though. Glad to see Midora coming back like a boss.

With dragon ball and medaka box in the same magazine, and AssClass and Psy out of the top of my head, sorry Shimakaburo, you need to destroy planets, have six billion superpowers, move at lightspeed and… whatever psy does that puts him in the power level of Korosensei.

That Mother's Lock ball has got to be at least the diameter of 10 kms if not more. If you remember back then when Sunny and Live first saw the adult Mother Snake, her body has got to be at least 500m tall

And with a conservative estimate of the Lock being 20,30 or even 40 times the snake's body wide, it's already cracking the lower bounds of the stratosphere. The only thing that doesn't add up is her weigth (the offical is 800.000 tonnes) with her 220.000 kms body length. It's only 4 tonnes per km of snake which is ridiculously light given the size of it. It should be 4.000 or even 40.000 tonnes per kms which would make her almost 9 billion tonnes in weight. So if that Mother's lock would fall on Earth like that…

Destroy planets: check (we at least know the characters are easily capable to and have done so in the past)
Six billion superpowers: depends on what you count I guess -

The way Toriko characters' powers are some kind of different to raw kind of power. Having Gourmet Oni with different kind of cells and being able to specially eat your opponent in a way that would erase him/her out of existence doesn't translate to linear power levels.

Oh, he's working on it.
I mean, he already killed off a guy that could punch so hard that it stops time. Then the guy that killed him went through several power ups and still has more on the way.
The only thing still keeping DB on top is that "King of all cosmos" guy that can supposedly destroy multiple realities at once with no effort. I think that might have been Toriyama giving the middle finger to everyone trying to out-powerlevel him. I choose to believe that's the entire point and purpose of DBS.

Im in love with this manga now.
I didnt loved it before and I didnt felt it very well before because I catched up like 5 or 6 months ago. I get why some people are upset with lack of many things that made Toriko quite great in some ways but on other hand we could not have any more over the top finale for manga I think. That is simply great even if its mostly strong vs stronger and then a step up and same thing over and over again. Great stuff if we shut eye here and there.

I've caught up with it just before the final battle began and liked it quite a bit, but I honestly think this over-the-top stuff is a lot of fun to read. It feels definitely too rushed, but I consider it a guilty pleasure at this point.
