16 characters of LOL!
This is The end of his marine career. ..Fujitora. ..Sakazuki was clear
The problem was with Kyros, not the citizens. Surprised you still don't understand this.
Kyros crippling issues of self-worth was based entirely on a misconception that he would be unaccepted, that Rebecca needed to live without him as a princess to avoid a scandal.
He was ready to set sail and abandon his child after 3 days of reunion, because the citizens…humored the absurd charades of the royal family, I guess? It makes the drama of him and Rebecca, which is played entirely straight, feel completely pointless.
Well, Leo talked about some permission from the chief. So, I guess they will leave.
no way!he is The Man of Mansherry
That's kind of an outlier. Remember when he blew the lid on what supposed to be their special move right at the start of the fight? Or when insisted on saving the meth babies/Kinemon at Punk Hazard? Or when Law said they had to leave immediately and he decided to throw a party instead? Competing in the colloseum and saving Law from Doffy despite being told to destroy the factory?
Sulieman had no reason to join Cavendish, but he did anyway. Same goes for Abdullah & Jeet joining a freaking martial arts club. Bellamy and Law make more sense than any of those allegiances. Dunno why it bothers ya so much that I think Bellamy is gonna join Law. No big deal whether he does or doesn't. We'll see in 2-3 weeks.
Yeah, I guess it's no big deal, but I do think it would cheapen Bellamy's character if he just followed someone who is not one he looks up to (which, according to him, are Luffy and Doula).

I won't say that him not even wanting to hold her with his bare hands was more about him self than the citizens .
Even after he became the head guard and hero of the colosseum he still gave him self little self worth .
And since he does not know that the citizen know about him and rebecca he had to come to the choice that it okay to live with her on his own.

I don't think he saw himself as unaccepted by the people, considering that he was a fairly popular army commander.
The problem was with him not accepting himself. I mean, this dude used rubber gloves to touch his baby child.

But that's the thing, Kyros' issues were all based on his own self image. Once again, it's one of those moments that should have been expanded upon in story (and unfortunately Kyro's particular flashback got the short end of the stick given what seemed to be Oda trying to end the volume on the cliffhanger of Usopp/Sugar), but from what I recall, I don't think there was anything outside of Kyro's own self doubt that he would have been unaccepted or not wanted by the people.
I can see oda using them off screen .
Like you here about them fighting yonko crew members while the SH deal with yonko main crew members .
That makes sense and it also leaves room or the possibility for a few more interesting characters that we've seen before or during this arc, like Kin'emon, to join the original crew.
Definitely the latter I'd say.
Yeah it would be overkill if they all started following Luffy around, but I wouldn't mind if only the Tontatta Tribe Army tagged along considering they could easily fit in the Sunny and Franky could build a city for them within the ship.
They would also be very resourceful in terms of acquiring food and other stuff that the crews needs in addition to being a good backup during fights.
And I could also see how it would create a lot of interesting and humorous scenarios if the Tonatta Tribe Army were around during the crew's adventures.
BTW
I'm pissed… Bartolomeo jsut get the Nr 2 in the ally ranking. What's this?
Cavendish technically has a longer career and predates Luffy.
I was going to be mad about the results of the fight but Luffy finally expanding his crew… YEAAAAAHHHH.
Awesome :3
Doesn't matter what Luffy says, these crews will come in aid anyway and that I am more than ok with.
I dunno how'll Tontattas survive in the seas though, I mean every pirate/marine would lie to them and they'd believe, right? XD
Now I wanna know what happened to Fuji that made him blind his own eyes…
Kaya never had a relationship with Usop
And neither does Mansherry, so..
I mean yeah, Mansherry seems to have crush on Leo, but Leo didn't really seem to have anything for her other than a general camaraderie
So what do you think Fujitora will do now that he must quit The marines?joining aokiji?
Nice, Luffy's getting more and more emperor-ish. There's no way they will all sail alongside Sunny. At least one of the leaders will stay in FI, as the representative of the future emperor Luffy. One will stay in Dressrossa, presumeably Leo. The others will spread to other islands.
Next chapter to be called the 5600th.
Damn, go Luffy! >_>
Wasn't it made clear that Sakazuki means sake cup when Sabo remembered about his brothers when he read about Ace's death by Sakazuki?
I guess it might be redundant to say Sakazuki cups but it's still better than Doflamingo being one of the four emperors. And on that note. Am I the only one who thought the Idea line was wrong?
He says that he doesn't stand a chance against Luffy at being stubborn, but he stands a chance at being a champion. Shouldn't it be the other way around?
l see, you're right! I went and did a little reading on this.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sake_set
Sakazuki are indeed a kind of sake cups. The problem in that part is the repetitiousness. It's literally 'sake cups cups'.
And neither does Mansherry, so..
I mean yeah, Mansherry seems to have crush on Leo, but Leo didn't really seem to have anything for her other than a general camaraderie
they seem have a long time relationship as The dwarf commenting The scene of her punching him as ordinary
So what do you think Fujitora will do now that he must quit The marines?joining aokiji?
He won't quit. He will just be forbidden from entering their bases.

Exactly. But thats what made all of his "I am a monster! I am not worthy! No one will accept me! I will leave you know!" spiel, which Riku and Violent enabled 16 years ago as they did now, so hard to buy into. If no one in the nation had any problems with Kyros, his relationship with Scarlet, Rebeccas lineage, all of that, why all of the bullshit web of lies? The unneeded secrecy of the citizens is creating a problem that simply wasn't there.
I'm trying to control my spasms right now. The fact that Oda chose 5600 proves it. Go(5) Mu(6)
EDIT: I just realized Jinbe is finally coming back. He should see them soon.
If it were 5656 pirates exactly, they could be the Gomu Gomu pirates
It is, however, 5640 total, according to someone's math from the spoilers. Add in the Strawhats and/or a few others that might be applicable, and it really could add to 5656 in the end.
(Until one of them dies, which would wreck everything just like the schichibuki and yonkou going by numbers to match a name)
Ahh someone pointed out that the ranking has been made by lottery

There was a problem. Self-hate and low self-image of Kyros', which may not be a big problem but still, it was always just that.
People had to play along with it too, I guess.
And since he does not know that the citizen know about him and rebecca he had to come to the choice that it okay to live with her on his own.
The only reason he didn't know is that the citizens, for some reason, played along with the Royals lies. After the giant fake funeral, people instantly figured out that not-Kyros and not-Scarlet in that house on the hill were in fact Kyros and Scarlet, now having abandoned their home, status and identities to the point where the king needs to sneak out in a disguise to see his own granddaughter.
But I guess it'd be rude of the citizens to tell the couple that they knew? Better let them keep up the lifelong lie for no reason then.
BTW
I'm pissed… Bartolomeo jsut get the Nr 2 in the ally ranking. What's this?
Cabbage tha best.
Would you expect any less from God Usopp? He is a force that moves nations. @Murcielago:
everything goes as Usopp planned )
Luffy for sure willl turn their request down, but Law will insist that it is better to have a bigger "Crew" against a Yonkou. The arguing could take longer cause we know Luffy is stubborn and he doesn't know how those thousands of guys might fit in the sunny.

This was once again Kyros thinking he does not have any self worth and you can blame the king and Violent( well she was really young the first time) for him enabling him .
Woah! Fuji made himself blind BY CHOICE? That's metal!

There's one thing, though. Scarlet went to live an ordinary life with Kyros, I doubt she'd liked to be treated as the royal again and her leaving the palace and doing that for Kyros wouldn't have much point anymore.
And whether the citizens knew it or not wouldn't change anything for Kyros… but
their acceptance could. However if they said it, Kyros would still say that he's not worthy of it and do the same XD
I don't understand how mangapanda even makes these translations. It's pretty much common knowledge for anyone that reads One Piece that Doflamingo is not an Emperor. Have they enevr actually read the series that they're "translating", or do they feed the text into a computer and be all like "If it sort of matches up yay, and if it doesn't, eh we tried".

Once again: The entire ruse stands and falls with the citizens playing along with it. He wouldn't have "got his way", if the citizens had gone "lol, what the hell are you guys doing?" That they didn't do that is the reason we're having this debate.
Luffy said "do whatever you want" to them, so he can't turn them down now. :ninja:
For people asking if the new members will sail along with Sunny, just imagine Yonta Maria + 50ish ships beside Sunny.
Edit:
Chapter 800 next issue? 800m bounty maybe?? :ninja:
REALLY cool chapter. I can see Oda making a joke out of Luffy initially saying no to them being followers but yes to them being compatriots in his journey. I can def see the strawhats only taking one or two on certain arcs and only bringing out all of them for the final war arc
Bartolomeo's ship will be epic StrawHat inspired. Maybe a Going Merry rip-off

It's right what you say, but YOU are eading it, right? So, despite their shitty Translation we can interprete the text as "you finshed off Joker, you are now a wanted man by the yonkou". MP already has done worse than that.
SO Luffy is on his way to Yonko status…...all these guys pledging allegiance to him under his flag.....
Nice.

I haver to ask why should the citizens go and interrupted there life .
You also have to ask your self why did Kyros and king riku not think the citizens would accepted him 16 years ago.
He was label the hero of the Colosseum and they were okay with him becoming the head of the kings guard and yet he still not hold rebecca with his bare hands
Still you can say some of it made sense in the past current time it was stupid .

I really should just reread the arc in full before commenting. Between this and the Tontotta's history, I forgot a lot…
Anyways here's what was said in the flashback chapter.
http://www.mangareader.net/one-piece/742/8
This supports what Kyros mentally thought all along, that he's not worthy of love/affection, and despite the terse Kyros flashback, it's pretty prevalent that Kyros' time in the Coliseum has him branded as a murderer, even if he's beloved. Even Scarlett at first was guarded against Kyros for his past as a murderer during their first introduction. It's probably easier for the citizens to forgive in the present day, given the relationship he does have with Rebecca and the time spent living in isolation, that his past no longer would bite him in the butt like it would have back then. But it probably would've been a different story if Kyros and Scarlett tried to have an open relationship with her being part of the royal lineage back in the day.
But I guess it goes back to the question that you're alluding to, why would the citizens keep it hidden back in the day if they knew about it? I guess my answer would be the problem was there; it's just the question of when it no longer became a problem in the eyes of the citizens. Last chapter proved Kyros himself probably would've still been hard on himself even if he did have the citizen's approval just because he himself didn't find himself worthy of being a good father given his past history. He only forgave himself in the last chapter by openly accpeting Rebecca's plea to live with him.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
As to why the citizens didn't try to convince Kyros he's an idiot...I don't have a good answer. There'd only be theories but since none of it's explicit it's hard to extrapolate as concrete. It'd likely involve the world public image of royalty being with a murderer which wouldn't look good in the public eye, including the eyes of the citizens that would judge Kyros based on his past alone?
Well, well, so luffy IS NOT READY YET FOR ADMIRALS? I WON'T RUN ANYMORE! I WILL ONLY BE FORCED TO RUN AGAIN'T MY WILL :ninja:
And I'm amused by Zoro, "my turn!!" with a evil face… and does nothing. Like he could ever do something again't Fujitora.
Lets just get back to Sanji and co. Nothing to see here.
Also, this chapter confirms that Fujitora made himself blind, it wasn't enemy.
I'm so happy to see that Dressrosa's citizens are no as stupid as I thought.
I promise I won't consider them scum any longer.
Sees the title of the chapter: "Oh god, nonononono nonono nono no no no!"
During the chapter: "Yes, yes yes yes yes!"
Sees that there's a break: "Ah for fucks sake! Should've seen this coming…"

That was me, but reading the chapter it said the Happou Navy was about 1000 and the 4300 for the Yonto Maria Navy is likely an estimate too. Since both of those are approximate, it makes more sense to say about 5600, as the chapter did, than to try and provide an exact number. Significant digits and such.
So with all this people under him, Luffy bounty will rise even more than I expected.
