Way ahead of you there, bub.
*technically it's on a reduced fat carton and not half-&-half, but you get the idea.

Lots of little issues in this episode, but it was well directed overall. I liked how they used filler and the padding wasn't too noticeable. The stream was kinda laggy for me, but in general it seemed the art and animation were fairly decent. Although I absolutely hate the way they handled Robin stopping Hakuba. That was such an awesome moment in the manga and it was really underwhelming in animated form. I hope they reanimate it for the beginning of next week like they did that time when Luffy punched Caesar.

Do you have a link to that?

The first half was easily the better part of the episode good pacing, well handled action and comedy. The second half suffers in terms of Hakuba looking worse than his two prior depictions and some severe padding with Barto & Hakuba. Seems kinda weird to see him just standing still for so damn long in between his attacks. The filler bit with Hakuba threatening to enter the top of Barto's barrier was good, but the slow progress prior to it dampened it somewhat. Another downside to that is that Hakuba was an entirely frightening presence throughout all of the scenes covered in the anime, but the way he acts and reacts in this episode makes him (it?) seems a lot sillier than it should have been.
I agree that the manga depiction of Robin grabbing Hakuba was quite week. Hakuba was suppose to be restrained in a split second, with Robin even commenting how a speedy opponent is no use against her. Instead we get a rather slow clutch and a bizarre bit where Hakuba is actually floating in the air as Robins large hands carefully reach out and grab him.
Oh, and I found it kind of weird how Barto's kick to the face sent him flying while in the manga he withstood it without budging an inch. In addition the episode substituted Barto spitting blood with mere saliva. Weirdly censor-ish considering how bloody and violent Ideo vs Dellinger was. Yeah, not that impressive Robin.
That
s… Not how longarm
s arms workYeeeah, that looked weird. Either Ideo ate another Gum-Gum fruit or he has about 10 elbows per arm.

This is the first version
This is the second
Funny thing about fixing Luffy vs Caesar, they also did something very similar between the
with the extended arm wrestling match and the following episode's recap & post-recap of the attack which was far closer to how it looked in the manga along with new animation of Caesar getting knocked down the tunnel. -
Decent episode I thought, started off piss-funny then went creepy once Dellinger and Hakuba came out to play, then it went funny again towards the end.
Looks like the next episode is Bartolomeo vs Gladius? I'm looking forward to that, but what I really want to see are the conclusions of the Franky vs Senor Pink and Kyros vs Diamante fights. The AMV's that will surely be made from those will be fantastic ^.^
-
I can't deny it, this episode had some terrible animation! But at least Dellinger and Hakuba looked intimidating in a few scenes. I also liked the Barty/Hakuba filler by the end. It dragged a little but still managed to be suspenseful.

I dont know if it just me but I really dislike how Robin's sprouting limbs look like since the timeskip lol. I mean, I can get behind the decision to make her look paler than before, but her sprouting limbs are even more pale than herself. It looks like they dont really belong to her body. It's weird that they dont outline the limbs.

Out the ceaser punches I like the first one more there both about as good as each other.

That

That

I just saw the episode. I honestly can't believe how poorly they handled that scene with Robin catching Hakuba. -_-
-
I really liked the art in this one… and the barto-cavendish-hakuba scenes were mastered pretty awesome too... i, like many others, also disliked how robin got hold of hakuba... it looked a lot easier in the manga, which was supposed to express how much she's improved too... observation haki spotted? xD

This episode was better than I expected after watching the preview. Padding was expected but wasn't too damaging.
What was that song playing during Robin's scene? Have we heard it before? Because that kind of salvaged that sequence for me.

Not next week but the one after should be
! Senor Pink backstory
right?

It'll probably be Episode 715 actually.
! 713 will cover the rest of 773 with Gladius vs. Bartolomeo, and then 714 will probably cover Leo rescuing Mansherry. Unless they move the events out of order, 715 is the safest bet.

I've been waiting for that Robin/Hakuba scene… not what I was expecting. The manga made it look much quicker and smoother. Oh well, at least the music was cool.
