I'm obsessed with giving most of my squid gear four slots, trying to find the perfect combination of awesome.

so, earlier on, I was at B+ 70something just lost another final match to get to A rank.
won the next one, was at 88 and thought to myself ' ok, final deciding match, you've been here a million times, just go in an do it, be smarter than the enemy.' at first it didn't look well and I went 'oh well, just the typicel deciding game then'
but then we turned it around and HOLY SHIT A rank?? is that you??!
but nope, only got 10lousy points and was stuck at B+98 ugh, noooo.

but then… we actually won that game and I'M A-RANK, BITCHES!!!!

it's a whole new world~

Mall was updated, here are all the updates

Stage Adjustments:

Walleye Warehouse: Adjustments will be made to object placement in Rainmaker Mode.
Arowana Mall: Adjustments will be made to prevent users from taking certain shortcuts in all modes.
Piranha Pit: Adjustments will be made to prevent users from taking certain shortcuts in Tower Control Mode.
Battle Adjustments

Museum D’Alfonsino: Fix the issue in modes other than Tower Control in which the area around the central rotating platform was registering as being inked in unintended ways.
Mahi-Mahi Resort: Fix the issue In Rainmaker Mode in which breaking the Rainmaker barrier while in the central area caused the special gauge to fill more than intended.
Other

Adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.

The new stage is open and it's nice so far. Haven't got used to it but I love the lift fans from the 1-player game.

but I loce the concept of a stage that represents the workplace of the guys who made splatoon.

since the update, I suck in ranked and lost A- Rank to a disconnect. booh. since the update I feel like I can hit the enemy countless times without them dieing while I die after ONE hit. really. happened a few times now, with defense up.

Sounds like lag. It was fine for me in the beginning then my ink wouldn't show and it'd take five seconds to kill enemies from behind! Sucks cause I reconned the new stage several times wanting to show my stuff .Gonna try rank later hoping it's fixed.

EDIT: Got my first solo team takedown! Thanks Bubbler and desperate squid jumping!

EDIT 2: Now Turf War Ancho-V is lagging. So much for ~~drive-bying~~ squid-bying rollers before they kill you.

btw as it doesn't seem to be clear for some folks. when u squad, u always fight with and against other squads, no matter their rank. so it's not a 'oh, I'm S rank and will draw other S rank people, so let's better not squad together' case. Just saying.

It's fine if one person is S and the other person is leveling up. It's not as fun if one person is A/A- and the other person is leveling up from lower because then the person with A/A- can still draw S ranks AND can also still rank down.

That was a hell of a team-up. I hate that we seem to end these losing but when we were in the zone, we were living plasma! If we had another squidmate I think we'd have more wins.

Too bad my bubbler isn't effective on experienced players in Splat Zone. Would've changed weapons but most of my kills were coming from bombs and boy do I love my splat bomb double kills.

Useless? I wish you could give them to me! I love adding slots to gear. Never rerolled, probably won't bother until I add full slots to every piece of gear with a useful main.

That was a great session. You are a team dynamo, leading the group to victory through momentum and force of will. As a self-proclaimed defense/support player, that's a powerful trait to rack up wins. Also, you and stealth jump is a scary combo. Gotta love that battle when both of us and BAT (another friend) all had zero deaths. Electric!

Sorry, no late nighter tonight, work tomorrow. But, good luck on your exams (crosses fingers).

I love my stealth jump, but sometimes I wonder if I should change to ink resistance.

also, as said, u can add slots with money, you dont need the sea snails for it!

Well, the thing is that it's a lot of money for slots/rerolls, though given the amount of time you play I think that you just happen to have a lot of money to burn.

Meanwhile, super snails you basically get for free, so you can re-roll to your heart's content.

^ Yeah. Adding slots, especially to two slot gear, gets expensive real fast. And several two slot items have uncommon mains in their category so going full is useful.

Yeah it really sucks when a player disconnects and your team has to deal with that. It's not impossible to win, but it sure is quite a hassle. If two people disconnect then it's nearly a lost cause.

I'm still baffled by something I've seen the last few days, where some players have no points at all and no kills, and yet have numerous deaths. I can only assume it's a glitch on the points part?

When someone disconnects it only tracks the amount of K/D, so in some cases it might tell more or less how long they played before disconnecting. Since they disconnected at the end they may lagged during the match making harder for them to kill someone, and so the prevalence of 0 kills and numerous deaths

Oh, that reminds me of the situation I had this one time where during splatfest, a roller in my team took it upon himself (or herself) to follow me around the entire match to block my shots and prevent me from doing anything. That's probably the biggest trolling issue I've had in this game by far.

Admittedly, it was a bit of an interesting challenge to constantly focus on both sniping enemies and shaking the guy off. One time I went all out offensive, and because of this douche tailing me he accidentally ran over someone who was about to kill me and wound up helping me.

Also, btw, regarding squads I'm unfortunately dealing with a lot of work until at least the second week of february, so no luck there. =\

Tower Control, go to hell. It's my worst ranked mode. Maybe I should change up my abilities, focus on ink ups not bomb enhancement. Or, stop sucking at it, either one is good.

I had those same people in the match after you left. They did the exact same thing, and they only contributed points that were in the double digits.

Good games guys, I hope the net result was positive. I have to go for food and other things, but either way the lag was getting damn bad toward the end and we were losing matches we shouldn't have been. When people stand under your Splash Wall taking a shower and kill you, something is wrong.

but it had to be the mode I hate the most with stages I hate, too. I can do so much better in splat and rain. I actually have far more kills than deaths in them. but oh well, it was awesome playing with u and I hope we can repeat that soon!

I think we lost 5 matches and won 10, the losses were against the Luna Blaster Neo dude and the Dynamo Splattershot guys that mastered the art of teleporting. Other than that good games with you all!

Anxious? You were the best player. I just tried to stay alive long enough to help. Would like to note my MVP moment was hanging on the side of the tower while an enemy kraken and his friend chilled on top then splatting them both when he returned to normal.

We really need to do this again with Splat Zone one day.
