Doflamingo's doesn't get that Oda has been downplaying Luffy for this instance. No Armament during their first two encounters, a basic attack with no armament but they omit facts
It's not like Red Hawk is one of his best attacks either.
Because, anyway, no fight begins with the strongest attacks.

Red Hawk is basically an evolved Gum Gum Pistol, with haki and fire. But against Chinjao he used Hawk Rifle, which is stronger than Red Hawk (Because, you know, Rifle > Pistol). Then there's Thor. Chinjao managed to block Hawk Rifle but got 1HKOED by Thor, so Thor (an airborne Elephant Gun) is also stronger than Red Hawk.
Then again, those are just Pistols and Rifles. Elephant Gatling and Grizzly Magnum are obviously stronger than Red Hawk. Red Hawk is not of his strongest moves.
We haven't seen Luffy go all out since the TimeSkip, it's obvious he wouldn't show his strongest attacks before a major fight.

The way Oda is handling DR makes me believe that its intentional. I mean the only enemy that seems cabale of doing anything is DF the rest of his crew(with the exception of Vergo) are/were shown as not good enough to the current SH. I think Oda is trying to establish the SH in a position where they can be seen as a crew that can take down a Yonkou down the line, I think DF will not be that big of challenge like the previews Schichibukai were. I think DF is playing the role where ppl will actually see the SH as a crew superior to what they used to be. the role that hordy failed to fullfill.
The defeat of Doffy and his crew will most definitely show the rest of the world how much stronger the Strawhats have become, bit of a shame that Sanji & co are not there as well but I expect Oda has plans for them elsewhere.
The fight with Doffy is not over yet and we will have to wait and see just how much damage that Red Hawk did, while I would love to see a solo steamroll of Doffy to really drive home Luffy's growth during the timeskip I suspect it is wishful thinking on my part.
We have seen how strong Luffy's attacks have become with COA making a big difference but I am more interested to see how well Luffy uses it in defense, I am wondering if maybe Luffy has multiple levels to his Hawk move, perhaps burning even hotter and becoming a White Hawk or Blue Hawk.
If the Red Hawk Luffy has just used is not enough to shut Doffy up, having used it at the start of the fight I expect Luffy has more up his sleeve.

Red Hawk is closer to an evolved Bullet though…for what it's worth.

Yeah, but Chinjao was Chinjao. He was not the stuff of legends Doflamingo is, more like a random New World Veteran.
More so, their fight wasn't really prolonged.
True and Luffy didn't really want to fight him, he was just in the way of Luffy and Ace's DF.

Yes. Because of that I was expecting real good shit from Doffy's crew but so far it seemed like they were average. But I would like everyone of them to get drained both mentally and physically before losing.

Bellamy ain't joining the Strawhats don't seem him meshing with the crew that well. Decent chapter but the Sanji situation is more interesting than anything on Dressrosa. Sabo is gonna get defeated by Fujitora soon anyway.

I don't think Red Hawk falls low on Luffy's arsenal strength wise. As far as one hit punches goes it might even be on top unless there is a bigger body-penetrating Gear 3rd shot.

I actually forgot about the bomb, so that bomb has to be delivered and the only way is:
a) Sanji + company beat them up without taking the treasure back, this is unrealistically since Nami is onboard
b) They get Kidnapped
c) Nothing happens -

I can see that happening. Strawhats' notoriety will increase exponentially and now it will be Akainu shown getting pissed off instead of Sengoku (before)

Power wise, yes, but he is special as a character. I can't imagine Fujitora simply walking by an unconscious Sabo. After all he really is defending Luffy right now in a way and ready to put his life to it.

There is an underlying assumption here that Fujitora must be stopped, which I personaly disagree with.
And fight against Law was A) Off-paneled B) That was Fuji holding himself back, and if Sabo is to be believed, he still does.

My response was more inclined as to How rather than What is going to happen. So more of an emphasis on even if Sabo would fail stopping Fujitora I don't think it would happen without something special.
