Chapter 737: "The Executive Tower"

Akainu's next move as fleet admiral will obviously be to arm his men with squirt guns.
So 4kids is managed by Akainu ?:ninja:
-
It will be his downfall once they all decide to shit him with those.
-
Akainu's next move as fleet admiral will obviously be to arm his men with squirt guns.
Seriously, though, why isn't every marine ship armed with at least like 2 giant water cannons and some fire hoses or something? Isn't their motto like "be prepared" or some such? Or was that the boy scouts?
-
Not really. She left the sandal over there, the wolf was about to piss on it, but she sprouted a leg there before it happened.
The wolf had an injured leg, then she sprouted her own and it still had the shoe on it

Works better than an actual gun, especially against crocodile. Akainu, you genius!

Yeah, I don't think Haki factors in destroying Barto's barrier. He produces a barrier, he doesn't turn his body to a barrier. Haki is supposed to attack DF users actual bodies while ignoring their DF form, it doesn't nullify a DF though. Kind of like Mr.3's wax… If he built a wax wall, hitting it with Haki won't nullify that wall. (Aside from actual strength of course.)
Barto's barrier weakness might be something else. (For example, he can only defends one direction at a time).
This actually begs the question to what power is at the top of the OPverse. Is it the DFs or haki? Or maybe neither? I will just consider three things here: DF, haki and physical strength.
When haki was not yet introduced, I think the impression is generally clear: DF users tend to be more powerful than non DF users. But it's not absolute. And now that we have haki mixed in, I can say that the prestige of being a DF user has diminished. But then again, what's the priority? Is Barto's barrier absolute over physical strength? I want to say yes, unless proven otherwise. But is it absolute over haki? That, I don't know. I think the safe answer is no. Do we consider Barto weak? Not really.
-
Where is chinjao? If he is a toy, then sugar is in problems,he will use Conquer haki to make her faint..
-
The wolf had an injured leg, then she sprouted her own and it still had the shoe on it
I think the point that we were trying to make is this: If she bloomed a shoe with her foot, then where is the original shoe?
edit: Also, you're ignoring that Oda has said in an SBS that the clothes of a DF user are affected by the powers as well. So it's a gray area no matter how you look at it.
-
The wolf had an injured leg, then she sprouted her own and it still had the shoe on it
That wouldn't explain the missing sandal.
Robin can't bloom footwear.

Robin kept her sandal under the wolf injured leg so she can sprout her leg and help the wolf walk around… She didn't want to do it barefoot.

I hope to see sanji's group next chapter, i mean, last time we've seen him, he took permission from luffy to fire back at bim mom's ship. are we gonna see some lang ranger attacks? i hope so.
but i guess we are going to see more from the pica situation. i feel very sorry for pica, he might get defeated without saying a single word. ( yes i'm saying pica won't be a big deal for luffy and zoro to take out)
we're gonna see sugar maybe? and the failure of leo's mission. are we gonna see ussoland on action? i really hope so.
or will oda concentrate more on the colisseum? the sabo hype and shit.
finally, i'm really sick of doflamingo, i can't wait till luffy kicks his fucking ass.

I think we're probably not gonna see what's happening with Sanji's group until after the story threads on mainland Dressrosa are tied up.

he's got to save the best for last.

That's unfortunate because I love Sanji, but I think I agree. Hopefully he doesn't get shit on again
-
he's got to save the best for last.
Precisely.
Also, mainland Dressrosa is a complete clusterfuck of action right now lol
It makes more sense to split it out and show us whatever is happening on the coast as a flashback rather than jumping back and forth.
Especially if the KHA alliance appears, jonesing to take down another of Big Mom's ships.

Remember the rules toys have to abide by. They cannot harm humans and have to obey the Donquixote family.

Under certain circumstances, yeah.
How Toy Soldier has been breaking these rules is still up for debate.

Toy Soldier's a rebel. He couldn't care less about rules or the establishment.
He is the apparent exception to the rule though.

Yeah, it's just a matter of how he came to be the exception that's interesting.

At first I thought he just wasn't given instructions when he was transformed. I'm assuming it happened at the palace. Maybe the situation was too hectic and there was no time.
But still, why is he the only one then? It stands to reason there should have been many more toys who were turned in less than perfect conditions.
Or maybe his Haki was too strong to be controled (hate this option, btw). Or he has a Conqueror Haki.

My personal theory is that Kyros was earmarked as the biggest threat to Doffy's takeover by Monet when she worked in the palace.
So, Kyros was transformed before the actual takeover of Dressrosa, and in different circumstances than the controlled ones we've seen so far with the arena participants.

Interesting take on this, well its pointing out reasons for what most probably happened- also Flashback of Rebbecas mother dying proves it. Toy Soldier - 99.99% Kyros- was at time already a toy so all clicks for him to be challenged and changed as first person that was biggest threat for Doflamingos plan at time. I expect Doflamingo and actually also some other strong member of crew having to take down Kyros and he was still capable before Sugar "applied rules" to him, taking from him his free will like she was shown doing lately with Cavendish.

Yeah, probably something along those lines.
Certainly Monet has a bigger part in this than has been revealed so far, since it all "started with her" according to Toy Soldier.

Can someone refresh my memory, does someone with fruit powers has been transofrmed in toyform by Sugar? Maybe Sugar's weakness is that she cant transform fruit user?

Kelly Funk was transformed, at least (jacket fruit). Can't remember if there was anyone else.

Wow very nice. 1 star rank. Good job bro. Happy for you.

Personally i think it has to do with why he is missing one leg.

Isn't that more likely to be the one wound he took in his career as a gladiator?
-

Too bad, I tought that I've found Sugar's weakness :D
-
So who's going to get fodderized next chapter?
-
Isn't that more likely to be the one wound he took in his career as a gladiator?
Oh yeah it could be! But it is still unknown if being turned into a toy restores "toy" arms or legs even though their natural and physical form might be missing a limb. But in your case it could be a replica of the original body but in toy form which is quite plausible
Other than that i think its just a mental barrier that a victim must overcome with mental strength. It's something we've all seen. If i recall correctly you have watched Doctor Who and even though someone is under mind control they do something mentally to be able to control it, doesn't always work but yeah.

So who's going to get fodderized next chapter?
I read some fake you know what and what they basically said was the next chapter ended the whole Arc. Yeah. Everything needed to be done in ONE chapter. That also means that Barto, Burgess, Sabo and Diamante got knocked out leaving Rebecca still standing. Sorry but the stupidness is killing me.
As for Fodderization there are too many Big shots that shouldn't be ko'ed within this chapter. This chapter is 99.99% chance to be about Sanjis team with Big Moms ship. So Sanji is going to get fodderized.
-
Isn't that more likely to be the one wound he took in his career as a gladiator?
Now I'm just wondering what will happen to that doll who got his/her arm ripped once he/she turns back into human.

That three eyed girl is going to flash her boobs and Sanji is done for.

Those happy times when after a week of hiatus we had an early spoiler… XD
-
when will spoilers come out its so late .
-
Isn't that more likely to be the one wound he took in his career as a gladiator?
He does seem to have both legs when shown the first time.
!
It's not until he's shown carrying Scarlet all banged up that the leg is missing.
-

I remember once i got a spoiler at 3pm Australian Eastern Standard Time. Normally they come out passed midnight lately and even with the chapter shortly after it's released. I use this Hiatus to watch other series which is pretty nice.
-
Those happy times when after a week of hiatus we had an early beep… XD
when will beeeeep
Now, now. Let's not start talking about you-know-what. Otherwise this will get ugly real quick.

That one was discussed to death in the very spoiler thread it first appeared in. And in that thread it was also proven to be a grass stalk, not the Toy Soldier's second leg. There's only one leg in that picture.

Barto is going to be defeated by someone distracting him with Luffys wanted poster :)

This post is deleted!

Somebody should just post the warning in the first post from now on.

Spoiler will be here when it's here. Probably shouldn't ask, could be locked out of the thread (or worse). :ninja:

I literally just thought of this right now but i was thinking in my head "Not to hurt humans" and notice "Obey orders of the Donquixote family" What else can override a a command? Another command! But who could have done this? A member of the Donquixote family. But who? Answer: Violet! Yes Violet may not know who he actually is (kyros) but she does know he is a toy and what he can do, what he can't do (Harm Humans) and what he is willing to do which is helping take down Doflamingo.
The question is can she completely set free someone from this "spell/curse/command"? What she could have done is
A) Allowed him to attack Humans through Violets command.
B) Give a command to have free will (i doubt this one).Im going for A but with a mix of B. Have your own imagination of what she commanded.

How was it proven then? Because there's a part there that looks like a bent knee. Why can't there be both a grass stalk and a leg?

You can read some of the other posts on that page as well. And it was probably discussed briefly in the chapter thread too. General consensus is- that's not a second leg.
-
Yep. That "leg" you see is actually speed lines, which are all over that panel.
-
So yeah…his only wound as a gladiator most likely lol.
