Reminds me of a classic Rankin/Bass holiday special.

While this is technically a short, it seems its primary purpose is to promote similar fan-made videos using Banpresto's Drum island figurines. Rather than being custom made faces and expressions developed solely for the video itself, Banpresto is selling these figuringe with interchangeable faces and other body parts with malleable limbs for customers to make their own stop-motion shorts or to recreate scenes at home.
Has Banpresto done this for any other figurine line? It seems like a very inspired business move that particularly takes advantage of Youtube other types of similar social media use lately.
