I don't know why people think Cavendish is so strong. Besides poking Chinjao's head he hasn't shown any other sign of strength. The main problem people have with Rebecca winning is they don't think she can beat Cavendish. He's had too many gag moments imo, doesn't really make him look strong.

Rebecca also didn't have many moments that showed she's that strong either.
She was easily taken care by Luffy, allied herself with Acilia and won all her fights up until now through ring-outs.
An attack like this just doesn't mesh well with her character and fighting style.

Is the same fashion that Luffy took care of her he did the same with Cavendish. Luffy's on a whole different level. So I don't think we can use him as an example. I see what you're saying and what we've seen from her up until this point I can totally agree. But, that build-up and that flashback just keep me wondering. Like when Sabo said he's heard rumors. He's obviously talking about Kyros, who imo is definitely Toy Soldier. So with that in mind I don't think it's that crazy that she pulled that off.

Lol what? Luffy at no point has Cavendish disarmed, pinned, on the ground, and looking pathetic. Rebecca is portrayed by Oda as a joke at fighting. She was amazed by Luffy's strength while actually good fighters like Burgess, Diamante, Barto, and Cavendish didn't even bat an eyelid. She was also getting chased around by freaking Rolling Logan of all people. And when Sabo said he's heard rumors, he's not obviously talking about Kyros, we don't know a damn thing about Kyros other than he had a unique fighting style. There are higher chances that he was talking about a bunch of dwarves than he was talking about Kyros.

How could Sabo be talking about Kyros if toys are forgotten?

Hmm never thought of it like that. But, if Sabo just heard about a certain lightning speed attack and not about who does it. Would that still be applicable to the memory loss? Like, maybe he's just heard about the attack.

It doesn't have to be Kyros, it could be anyone from the Riku family. When Ricky was fighting in B block, he displayed the same speed.

Also keep in mind the Riku family's speed is nothing compared to what we've seen from the dwarves.

who's the 7th warlord lol

Meadows.
Would be cool if it's Vista.

That could also be true. I just had a feeling it would be Kyros. But maybe speed has something specifically to do with the Riku clan.

i say defo rebecca, but she'll get owned nxr round

I thought Rebecca wouldn't attack anybody? Isn't it unlikely that she just changes her mind and starts a nuke?
I don't think that the attacker is a known charakter.

Because of this, and his bounty and his portrayal. Maybe for you is just 'poking his head', but for me it seems like he's at least on level of Don. And we've seen that Don was no pushover next to Luffy. Yes he was taken down, but after a fight. Rebecca looks really weak in comparison to Don or Cavendish, so It would be really weird for me for her to own him AND the rest of the colloseum in an INSTANT.

i voted cabbage, have a feeling his word might have a special power. even thought i d prefer beccs or an unexpected chara to go through.
-
I was very surprised not to see Cavendish win, he has an impressive bounty of 280,000,000 Beri, not that has anything to do with strength, but he also blocked Chinjao's headbutt.
I'm however thankful Rebecca didn't win, she was the most annoying character.
Now Meadows, I'm pretty sure is Kaido (I known its a stretch) seeing as how it can be assumed that everyone being KO'd was achieved through a strong Conqueror's Haki, which this type of Haki is supposed to get rid of fodder, however this got rid of some fairly decent people, and the beast hood relates to Kaido's concept as well, not to mention a few facial features are similar. -

My reason:
1. He is a Yongko, if he want going somewhere certainly with His crew ship.
2. He is a great boss, if he want to take MMnM, he can send his men like BB.
3. Next round participants : Block A = Yongko crew, Block B = Super Rookie, Block C = Revolutionary Member, Block D = Old Pirate (no idea) / WG (7th or CP0)..power which dropped all participants is not Haki, Sabo talk about speed (he had heard rumors about it).
-

The commentator said everyone began dropping one by one, while Bart said it was over so fast, that is not indication that it was achieved by speed of any kind. Though if you get the page and highlight some areas I might be able to understand your where your coming from.

Sabo: "That sure was fast" (This shows Sabo talk about fast attack)
Barto: "What Dah!!?: I could not see nuttin '…!" (This shows strong person such as Barto not aware the attack as well as the commentator)
Sabo: "I'd heard the rumors, but ... (if haki this is not a rumor anymore) -
I voted for Meadows, the guy seems too suspicious to be innocent lol
And about the rumor Sabo heard about, I think it's a Smile user or Smile wich is a pretty recent innovation. And that will be it official introdution in the manga/for the reader. -
We never did get a good look at Meadows. Given as a Yonkou he'd be at least as famous as Luffy maybe the cat-skin is a disguise much like Luffy as Lucy.
Do we even have a sense of scale for him as opposed to the rest of the gladiators? Would he bigger or smaller than Cavendish or Rebecca (the most 'normal' sized in comparison to Luffy)? -

I see where you're getting at. But, as I admit that Cavendish is pretty strong. I'm not going to agree that he's on Chinjao'a level or anywhere near. Chinjao is a monster and in his youth fought Garp. Now, we all know he lost pretty humorously. But, the mere fact that his haki could withstand Garp's, even for a little says enough. Garp in his prime could fight Roger; the man could reduce mountains to dust with his fists. To be able to even stand up to those fists let alone with your head paints a picture clear enough. With that said, I think it's pretty safe to say that Chinjao could mop the floor with ol' Cabbage.

I agree with you .. and i think Cavendish is on Sai Level …---> Chinjao mid dif Cavendish ,but Cavendish stronger than Rebecca ----> Cavendish high dif Rebecca

i'm really starting to think that it might be all diamante's doing..that's my reasoning.
why?
to speed up the tournament, the less he has to wait for it to finish, the earlier he can go help his comrades at the underground port…we already seen him listening to the den den mushi last chapter,so he knows the attacks has already beganwhy would oda do that?
to hype diamante..at the moment in the finals we have a yonkou commander,a rivolutionary and a guy that didn't get a scratch until now (even if due to his DF power)
so who is standing up?probably rebecca or cavendish. As much as resistance go,cavendish is probably superior to rebecca,so if she is the one to stand up,it would be probably a deliberate choice by diamante..why?maybe he just want to be even more acclaimed by the crowd by killing the hated rebecca on the ring (we have seen how, while initially adverse on taking praise,he embraces whoefully in the end)..and that might actually be his undoing in the end, when in the finals rebecca defeats/helps defeating him.If it's cavendish it would be strange because that would make him in the fodder category and it would be strange to have him in the final battle royale (IF the final match is another battle royal, finalists + diamante)
i'm not fully confident about that, but that's what makes sense the most to me at the moment.
-
I want it to be Manshelly.
Why? Diamante ordered her to by threatening the other dwarves.
Why would Oda do that? To hype Manshelly.
So who is standing up? Cavendish. Because for my hopes to be true, Manshelly shouldn't be strong enough to take a supernova down.I am 8% confident about that since it doesn't make a lot of sense.
-
What is it with these people here and their obsession over a guy who looks like a gay hypnotist and a girl who wears enough clothes to be pole dancing at a strip club?
The were both shown to be clearly KO and were nowhere near the smoke of the one who actually won.

Loads of people have been shown to be KO and tuned out tobe fine the very next chapter thriller bark arc is a good example of this.

It's because they're the only two characters in block D with more than a handful of panels to call their own. Anybody else within block D would be a bit too left-field, and if it's somebody outside block D then it could basically be anybody, so all suggestions from that angle are pretty much equal. Hence the focus comes down to Cavendish and Rebecca, however unlikely you think it is that one of them is responsible.

Someone is standing means the person was down.

Kyros is a possibility. He was a colloseum legend so it's only right he'd show up there at one point during the tourno (should he show up at all). Oda still has to fit Kyros' tale in somewhere within the many plotlines for this arc. He might have already done so if Kyros is the Toy Soldier like some have said. Then there's this Meadows guy who is a good bet considering every other shown fighter has had a moment except him. He had a good slot in his introduction panel, and looks pretty strong (it's in the smile). The top half of his face is also completely covered up which couldn't have been done for no reason, fitting for this type of reveal. But then again Meadows could just be an unfortunate character who got no spotlight.
About Kyros, I have to say: He obviously got turned into a toy, cause no one remembers him, they all have a WTF-face lookin at that statue of him. Is Kyros Mr. Soldier? It's possible, but not plausible. That statue is from 20 yrs ago, so IMO Kyros is at least as old as Riku. About Meadows: this attack points at him, since he is the only one of the big shots in block D who wasn't shown in the actual battle. A Kaidou-officer or Kaidou himself? After Oda has brought Sabo back onscreen you have to consider anything right now, but if Meadows is Kaidou or one of his officers it would be too much for me tbh. We would have 3 Yonkou fractions, an Admiral, Revos and 2 Shichis on one Island. This is just too much shit that hits the fan and Oda would have to keep doing such big arcs until the end. Otherwise there would be too much whining like we had on FI and PH.
-
I think It would be cool to see everyone get up next chapter, I know it would make the cliff-hanger from the previous chapter pointless but it would be a surprise to most people.
-

Soldier-san is the only toy with any coverage at all during this arc. Of course he's Kyros. If we assume Kyros was in his prime when he was a champion of the coliseum, somewhere between twenty and thirty, then he's now between forty and fifty. King Riku is older than that. Probably between sixty and seventy, but then he might be older. Judging age in OP has been difficult ever since Doctor Kureha was 139.

I hope Cavendish and Meadow to get up and duel like Luffy Vs Chinjao,…. about Rebecca, to save her from next round, she better still unconscious.

I agree with you about Soldier-san…, but about prime moment, i think between 30 and 50, because WB prime is between 45 and 50 year old.
-
King Riku is Rebecca's grandfather. Toy Soldier AKA Kyros is her dad. So there're three generations there. 20, 40, 60… give or take.
The chapter gives more 'becky vibes each time I read it but with respect to the future of the tournament from now on, that's one thing that makes me hesitate quite a bit. If it was Rebecca, she apparently has a kind of super technique similar to the King Punch where she becomes a demon for a few moments but is practically spent after that. Against her would-be opponents Sabo, Diamante and Burgess it's difficult to see if she would have much to contribute with that ability because they wouldn't go down to it and then she's done. Bart couldn't see it but it would obviously be a waste for his role in the finals to be reduced to getting quickly KO'd. We've seen that her normal fighting strength isn't anywhere near high enough to be competitive at that level. Better to bring in Cavendish then, so you could get a match-within-the-match as Sabo leaves Bart to Cav while he takes on the two main threats. Or Meadows, if he's a serious powerhouse in disguise. I must say I liked the designs of Suleiman and Orlumbus very much but unfortunately I don't see anything going for them here in the least. Since this was our yearly cliffhanger I also find it very doubtful that Oda would do something like "actually, they all get up" and the game's open again.

Anybody wondering about a newbie that Oda has yet to reveal that will be crowned as the winner of Block D? Honestly, I wish that the winner of Block D will be a marine that will balance out the discrepancies. It shouldn't be a high-ranked marine but a strong one nonetheless. Probably like a Vice Admiral or something.

I personally think it will be Meadows and that he is a Smile Devil Fruit user under Kaido.

I don't think the guy/women standing up was the one who unleashed that attack , I think the next chapter we are going to see an epic battle between the one standing up and the one who unleashed the attack. Not the greatest worded post on Arlong Park I know I hope it make a little bit of sense.
