I think the final match in the Colosseum is going to be your typical "adjusted the ring to the fighting style of the bad guy so he has an unfair advantage" type of thingy. I don't see Diamante being an obstacle otherwise, not for Burgess nor for Sabo. Even though we've seen neither of them fight, there power should be obvious. One, Luffys brother and a revolutonary that went to sea a lot earlier then Luffy or Ace did and the other a yonkou commander.

Also, Ivankov saved Sabo when he got shot by the celestial dragon.

Actually Sabo should be ahead of Luffy, the kid Sabo showed the same growth rate as both Ace (A little below Ace) and Luffy and he head it out to sea 7 years before Ace and 10 years before Luffy, so he was probably training and gaining experience. This guy has to be Admiral Level for sure.

There should be a lot of space between Luffy and an "admiral level", whatever that is. For example, Luffy/Zoro might be able to beat Fujitora and still be weaker than Akainu.

But even so, Sabo and Luff's growths don't have to be the same. They aren't the same person. Maybe Luffy is more talented at fighting just like Sabo is probably more talented in literature (putting literature in the same sentence as Luffy makes me smile). I think they are close in strength now, with Luffy having advantages due to his versatility and range (that's assuming Sabo doesn't have a devil fruit).

Like last time? Oh wait no she didn't. She just saw Hakuba's movement just enough to turn a KO blow into a grazing one and being the only one to stand up since everyone including her attacker were down.

Look it was so obviously a plot set-up by Oda that he had to have Sabo pretty much justifying that it wasn't dumb luck but skill. Oda figured there'd be criticism and he tried to deflect it. But no way is he repeating that same cheap technicality in the final bout with Sabo raising his hand and calling for Ace to 'watch him'. I mean seriously, as Humanoid Typhoon showed in his post that's exactly the way Luffy set out to sea when he calleed for Sabo in heaven to watch him (back when he thought Sabo was dead, of course).

Really? I see them always having gaps in their power until they reach their 25's 30's when their power reaches it's limit.

That's my own opinion of course, but I assume it will still take like a year or 2 before reaching raftel, one piece time.

he'd have to be especially after the timeskip. He'll have just as much reason as Luffy to get stronger b/c of Ace's death. So pre-start of setting out to sea, Sabo was on par with Ace, if a little weaker. Then Sabo got rescued by Dragon, so at that young age he's already started out to sea under the wings of what will be the most dangerous criminal in the world. This long before Ace set out, so I would venture a guess he's already stronger than Ace right before Ace died or at least comparable (even w/ Ace having the mera mera). And Ace could've held his own for a least a while against the admirals at that point.

cue ace's death and 2 year time skip and the emotional motivation sabo has to get stronger and also in this fight where he wants to carry his brother's will…..well damn man, he's unstoppable.

edit: it seems that Sabo has both Ace's and Luffy's characteristics. He gets excited and is a bit childish (luffy) without being a total idiot (ace)

Who did Zoro and Robin killed? I do think Robin did kill people in her past, but I don't think it's been confirmed. Might be Yama died, but again, is not confirmed.

And Zoro only kill that comes to mind was a zombie (Ryuma). The 100 guys at Whisky Peak aren't kills, in my opinion, I remember it being translated in the anime and the manga as kills by some group, but I think it was bad translation.

I don't think Oda wants the main characters to kill eachother, after Pell, I wouldn't doubt if Vergo shows up being arrested or something.

Exactly he won't until they reach their full potential, but tbh even when Liffey becomes pirate king sabo is gonna be roughly at the same level too.

Like if ace didn't die, luffa probably wouldn't have surpassed ace until they both reach their full potential .

Not saying he was a pirate, but he had to deal with hardships that was much more grueling than what Luffy and Ace went through before they set out. And if anything he probably had more motivation, since he saw the darkness in the world at such a early age. And I hypothesize his goal now is more with dragons than wanting to be a pirate, he wants to give the world freedom.

And just think 2 years after his brother dies, he's a monster for sure. ERMGAWD THIS MEANS SABO KNOWS IVA!!!!!

I think it's been that since Luffy beat Moria, the shichibukai is the system of the old age and first half of grand line; after whitebeard's death a new age is about to emerge. It was pretty obvious where it was heading.

sidenote: my favorite thing about this arc? Barto's fanboyism muwahahaha. Oda's getting meta on us but it is so adorable as well.

No really, Sabo is three years older than Luffy and from now on Luffy will be involved in a lot of big fights while Sabo will probably be doing something else that will no involve fighting or training, we know that the Reviere is coming and as Revolutionary and a noble I think that he/they want to take part on it. The Revos will do something.
