@Gol:
It's amazing to think that the WG went with the global conscription to get two admirals. A high-ranking position such as that, you'd think they would need someone who's a homegrown talent. Familiarity with the culture, etc.
Then again, it's also a nice way to mix up the personalities and beliefs within the marines. Fujitora's views is already unique for an admiral. Moreover, none of the vice admirals showed any potential to take the next step. If anything, they all seem to have peaked already in strength.
The treatment of VA's has been terrible, to be honest. High hopes for the Bastille here, btw.
World Draft was something unprecedented, as we know. Maybe it was exactly as you say; those people were always there, but WG didn't trust them with power that comes with high-ranking position? Sakazuki wouldn't care, as long as they kill pirates, but Gorosei are all about balance and that sort of thing.

@Fire Fist:
Why is this poll up? It was already stated that Kaido is the strongest creature in the World right now. It's likely that he's an Awakened Zoan. With Newgate dead, it's likely he's the strongest person, too.
Some of us don't believe in the power of pirate scum, thank you very much.
And while I'm being biased, I do believe that Kaido will turn out powerful, but significantly more weaker than people are hyping him to be.
@RobZilla:
I'm not making arguments for what people would walk away from in real life.
We generally don't get guys using magma fists in real life, either.
I'm just pointing out that the statement "if he hits you, you're dead" isn't accurate.
Also, Sakazuki clashed fists with Ace momentarily before the killing blow.
So he in fact hit Ace himself….and Ace didn't die.
Ace died because he abandoned his own safety to save Luffy, not purely because of Sakazuki's overwhelming power one-shotting him.
Yeah… my fanboyism got ahead of me a bit, I admit.
But even so, we see that very rarely people attacked directly by him walk away in the state allowing further combat. I'm arguing that his offensive power is worthy of respect, and may very well put him on equall standing in terms of figthing ability as the current Yonkou.
But then again, I'm biased. I freely admit that.
Also, this quote did not show up in my notification box. Weird.
