that makes no sense bobobo cant have been cancelled because of violence, one piece, naruto, and Bleach are more violent then bobobo.
Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo
-
-
Service Man getting Bo-bobo cancelled was some fanboy paranoia in this thread, because apparently evil soccer moms will think he's the worst thing ever and he really isn't that bad.
Hey, can I help it if I'm paranoid?
Anyways I'm surprised that it was violence that parents complained about when Serviceman flashing his "cloak" and ramming guys with those "areas" of his would be what gets parents angry.
-
@gum-gum:

Yes, but Bobobo isn´t as popular as these 3, and the pressure could beat the TV guys…heck, if we talk about things like Serviceman, even Shin-chan is worse: he´s always showing his butt!
Valiantt: that´s because the episodes on emule are from a chinese fansub, there isn´t raws anywhere, and that fansub is still on episode 69
-
I think it could've had to do with Bo-bobo's time slot.
-
@Cap'n:
I think it could've had to do with Bo-bobo's time slot.
Was it Fox'D? That's a term used when Fox cancels a good show. By either placing it in a time slot of death or moving it around so that no one could know when it was on.
-
If Bo-Bobo is to Japan what the Simpsons are to America, I wouldn't be surprised if time had an effect; there a number of parents I know who don't let their kids watch the Simpsons; I'm sure they would be annoyed if such a show was shown during normal Saturday Morning cartoon blocks.
-
Whoever that Guy was "His real job is secert, so I guess he should be called Secert Service Man!"
Should he? ANSWER!
…
Did they even have a battle with him?
Suzu is part of the Cleared Plate Club!
Captian battleship abandoed ship... WHY IS EVERYONE FLYING?!
Ok, I lost track what was going on... Brain Explodes Oh, now I get it!
-

Hell, I don't know. I don't run the damn Japanese TV stations.
Where can I find dubbed episodes? I missed the first part of this one.
-
Jelly Jiggler learned to fly!
-
Episode currently playing out here.
Softon with pupils scares me :molly:
Tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet.
-
What was the name of the guy who Serviceman replaced? In Japanese, it was freakishly long.
-
Cool episode.
Looks like Serviceman is the same.
I thought Softon and Heppokomaru were the sane ones? Why were they flying?
Softon is badass. FIST OF THE BABILON (now changed to Goddess Blabs-a-Lot) -
When does Jelly Jiggler fight the piece of gum?
Also, does anyone know of any sites that have Bobobo gifs?
-
-
from the anime: I don´t know
-
From the GBA games: here
-
-
I believe it was Tokoroten no suke who fights the piece of gum (and loses <_<)
-
SPOILER
Softon doesn´t fight against those guys from Gunkan, the fights are : Heppo VS Loinclothman(or however his name is translated to english), Bobobo VS Calendar, Tokoro VS gum and Don Pachi VS a very big and bad-looking guy. Then something happens and the last guy of the "gunkan five", follows Bobobo and fights against him
Sorry, I don´t know how to make this spoiler invisible

"98 bottles of root beer on the wall, 37 bottles of root beer. You take one down, pass it around, 22 bottles of root beer on the wall. 4 bottles of root….Hey! Don't you like root beer?"
That line had me stitches.
-
I'm suprised they left in Don Patch wanting to take pictures of Serviceman's… whatever he has.
Loved the episode... especially Softon having the creepy anime eyes and STILL being dressed as Beauty.

The announcer using puns makes me think about the One Piece dub..
-
The announcer using puns makes me think about the One Piece dub.
-
Nicole, the original version of Bo-bobo was exactly like you see it in the dub.
Only, with WAY more Japanese references and different names.
The puns were meant to be there.
The puns in the One Piece dub aren't supposed to be there. AT ALL!
They're just dialouge fillers.
-
Not to mention it's the same team that dubbed Digimon that's working with the Bobobo dub. And since Bobobo has always had that type of humor, they can basically just go and have a field day with it.
Thus we get a very funny dub.
-
A very VERY funny dub, that I guess you could say has more localization than Americanization.
Would that be a good way to put it? I dunno.
-
What is exactly the difference between localization and Americanization?
-
Bah anyone knows when bobobo volume 20 will be released for manga? X_X
-
Bah anyone knows when bobobo volume 20 will be released for manga? X_X
In Japan, it's already out.
In America, probably never.
-
It HAS? Shoot X-X, wonder why I couldn't find it at kinokuniya when I visited it >_>
-
What is exactly the difference between localization and Americanization?
Not much; localization is simply the general term for Americanization, such that it applies to every other culture and not simply American dispositions.
-

I wasn't talking about the cultural stuff. Although that's a good part of it. For an example of what I was talking about, see BoboPatch's line: "And I can only be in this form for a limited time offer. I'll throw in free steak knives." Those type of lines were everywhere in the Digimon dubs.
-
Here´s a gift for all the Serviceman fans: http://www.youtube.com/?v=eWv_a3ou6gc
3 clips where Serviceman(Destapeman in the spanish dub) is the main star!
-
Hahahaha.
In the manga, Serviceman doesn't have the goatee or the intense eyes.
-
oh, and here are the Denbo songs in the spanish dub
-
His name is Don Patch in the dub…..
Poppa rocks in the manga.Anyways, this show is 100X more funy if you see it with friends who like that kind of humor.
-
…thats his name in the original though. Poppa Rocks was VIZs name for him.
-
Actually his original name is Don Pachi… OH MY... NO "T"!!!! AND AN I!!! Faints
-
Patch is a romanization of the japanese "pachi." It's clearly meant to be Patch, though, as in the manga it's written in english all over the place.
-
As in the Dub Pro/Cons thread I noticed that The dub has an Opposite of a 4KIDS! Dub:
That scene with Bird Brain a few episodes ago, he a had a realistic looking gun, but it was a water gun. in One Piece all the Realistic looking guns are changed into Water guns.
Odd isn't it?
-
Well, obviously they didn't edit the gun to look realistic. Then it'd be an opposite.
-
Next episode.
The Entangled Nose Hair of Destiny: Who Will Pass the Test?
-
WAITING OVER!!!
Bobobo wrote the opening, The Narrorator went to Nevada, and Gasser was late to class.
HOW EXCITING!
-
Bobobo has one of the greatest dubs ever. It's still hilarious.
-
More Flying Craziness!
Dengakuman!
Miso Tofu on a stick!
Swim wear!
Bobobo wore a dress!

Pig told patch to back off.

this was the best episode of bobobo ever. it was so awesome
-
How many times did you freak out?
Six.
Gets thrown out window
That had to be the greatest moment in history.
-
yeah that scence was awesome i cant tell you how much i laughed.
-
This show is nuts.
-
This show is nuts.
Yep. The idea of a man fighting a calender is something I never thought I would see.
-
This post is deleted!
-
I bet you also never thought you'd see a man fighting a calender's son who sounds like the governator. Why in the world does he sound like that anyway?
"Captain Battleship, one of the chromedome empire’s big four, has turned Beauty into a doll and stuffed her with beans. Better her than Gasser."
Can someone please tell me what Dengakuman said? I couldn't comprehende anything he said with that squeeky voice. Also, what did that woman call him? It didn't sound like she said Dengakuman.
-
he said have some fried tofu covered with Miso on a stick
she said DengakuMan
