Why not ? Do you have a geographic map that shows the location of Punk Hazard and Dressrosa and the traveling time between them ?
Furthermore the SAD tanker could be very fast, so I don't think it's impossible at all.i agree. law created an alliance with luffy, that whole time we learned that monet is secretly stalking law from the snow.
it was only a short time after luffy and law made an alliance that they started to create a move…the time where law and luffy are talking, luffy introduce law to other strawhats and luffy and law fighting cool brothers are presumably on a short duration of time. during this time, we could assume that monet informed vergo about law's fishy move. (and this is the only time law executed his plan)
while luffy is fighting ceasar, law is with monet already....and vergo had already arrived in punk hazard.
vergo said he came from dress rosa...you could say vergo used geppou to move fast, but he also specifically said he rode a SAD tanker on the way.
so its either, SAD tanker is insanely fast or dress rosa is just near the island.
either way, its not farfetched to assume baby-5 and buffalo arriving already. i could be wrong though.
-
I cant wait for Law to reveal that he is from the future and that he is the lovechild of Zoro and Luffy.
I HAVE TAUGHT YOU WELL MY CHILD.
-
Like I said 10 times already, Bufallo and Baby-5 can't reach the island in less than an hour.
Precisely. Unless they have a fast transportation, they won't reach that island within that time frame. But since Oda has already set them up for it, something interesting will happen during their arrival. If they actually reach the island winthin 10 hrs., then the next arc will for sure be the Medrossa arc.
-
-
-
I am actually your love child from the future.
-
This isn't spot on exactly, but assuming Vergo was sent by Doffy after Caesars phone call in 664.
We at least know that an S.A.D tanker can make it from Dressrosa to Punk Hazard in under 2 hours. And we know how long and how much can happen in an hour.
–-----In 664 Caesar gets the okay to kill the lot of them from Joker, in that same chapter Luffy and co. are reunited and are told about "Master" from brownbeard
-655- continuing that same scene we learn that Kinemon has left so Sanji, Brook and Zoro go after him. During this the kids go on a rampage and are put to sleep, and Luffy makes the plan to go to the lab.. At the end of the chapter Zoro and co. are shown unconscious (which happened during the kids rampage).THIS IS WHEN THE HOUR STARTS.
(Everything that happened between 667-669 is an hour)-We know this for 2 reasons, Smiley is released while the crew and Law are talking about the plan, and Zoro and co. encounter the slime still covered in flames basically right after waking up (they were unconcious for an hour as stated in the text box)..
HOUR OVER.
-At the end of 669 chapter Luffy, Robin and Franky arrive at front of the lab and start fighting.
We already know the fight with Caesar didn't last long, and Vergo was already on PH by the end of the fight.
So at the most, if Vergo was sent of Doffy from Dressrosa on an S.A.D tanker..It took him a little over an hour to arrive, no more than 2 hours at the most.
All the evidence is there in the chapters you just gotta put it together.
-
@nodensuke:
… but assuming Vergo was sent by Doffy after Caesars phone call..
Mangarule's translation suggests that he wasn't sent by Doflamingo, but acted on his own.
!
It seems that he got the order to keep Caesar in check, with Monet working closely with him, while Vergo regularly pays him a visit. Caesar and Vergo interact like business partners on a meeting, and it didn't seem like it was their first.Anyway, I believe Baby 5 and Buffalo will show up within this arc, else why the buildup? It wouldn't make sense for them to not appear, even if they just clean up any hints that would point to Doflamingo's involvement.

That panel can be taken either way though, cause' that's the one I read.
And even if he acted on his own, he was on Dressrosa and would have seen and told Doflamingo he was going to check on things on Punk Hazard.
That's why I said "Assuming he was sent".
If they don't trust Caesar and just got a phone call from him saying Smoker, the G-5, and the Strawhats were there it poking around on the island - it just makes sense that he would send Vergo to keep an eye on things to make sure nothing happened..especially with his own men.So if he was sent after the phone call, we know how long it takes to get there from Dressrosa.
-
Bufalo and Baby 5 will only appear(at least to me) when shinokuni tones down will punk hazard end after shinokuni ends i dont think so because they need to catch ceasar and ceasar needs to catch the apple before trying to escape for it being the crucial ingredient to do more shinokuni

We don't know if Vergo was on Dress Rosa when Doflamingo got the call, unless I'm missing something?
I know that you assume he was, but everything you wrote after is based on that assumption, so I can't really see how..
@nodensuke:
All the evidence is there in the chapters you just gotta put it together.
…you can speak of evidence?

Yes, that entire first post was based on the assumption that Vergo was sent by Joker after the phone call from Caesar. If that IS the case - everything I said has evidence in the chapters to back up it taking at the most 2 hours to get from Dressrosa to Punk Hazard, they're roughly stated in my first post but if you go back and read from 664 to 671 - everything is there to back up what I said.
EDIT: Here's the evidence (Assuming he left after the phone call)..
–----664 - Phone call to Joker, Vergo hops on the S.A.D tanker.
2 HOURS START
(1st Hour)-Crew is reunited in the remains of the lab.
-Talk about the Kinemon and what happened to everyone.
-Learn about Master from Brownbeard.
-Kinemon leaves665-
- Zoro, Brook and Sanji leave the group to find Kinemon.
- Chopper checks the kids and finds the NHC in their blood and they go on a rampage.
- Luffy, Usopp, Robin and Franky head to the lab.
- Zoro and co. are knocked out by the COOL BROTHERS.
- Law leaves the lab after giving Caesar the heart of Smoker.
(Note: in 669 it says that Zoro and co. were attacked an hour ago, so what happens from the end of 665 to 669 is an hour. They run into the slime as it's crossing over to the cold side of the island [you can still see the flames] right after Caesar set it loose).
So there's 2 hours right there, from the time of the phone call to the time Zoro and co. wake up.
Now what happens once they wake up takes place is a very short time, at the most 20 minutes.- Luffy, Robin and Franky rocket over to the big fight in front of the lab, fight for a few minutes with the the G-5, the slime starts plopping on the ship, and Caesar shows up. At that time Luffy attacks him and is choked out within minutes.
- Law and Chopper warp to where he left the lab, enter, Monet and Law leave the room and Vergo shows up.
So the time from the phone call to Vergo's first appearance is a little over 2 hours.
If you come up with another conclusion after reading those chapters, let me know because mine is a bit sloppy..but it makes sense to me. -
Distance and travel time and all that crap is irrelevant. What matters is … does Oda want them there right now?
Personally, I have two guesses:
-their arrival will be akin to Kuma appearing to the Straw Hats, or to Tamago and Pekoms showing up. They arrive, see what a mess has been made of Vergo/Monet/Caesar, and start aiming at Luffy and crew, Law and Smoker.
-their arrival will be similar to Robin after Whiskey Peak. Straw hats and co. escape, all seems well and cooled down, and these two appear out of nowhere to be dealt with.Basically, to me they're a transition from one arc to another. Given how many characters are being juggled around at this point, it would be a weird move to introduce two more characters, somehow find time to develop them, have them fight, etc etc. Sure, it could happen, but if it does then that's just a sign this arc isn't anywhere near over or simple.
-
Vergo said he took a SAD tanker. Maybe it's a kind of fuel allowing them to get them there faster.
-
I would agree with the theory that the islands are at least a few hours apart.
-
PH is supposed to be difficult to get to (lack of a log).
-
the farther away something is the more likely you are going to be off course after some distance, especially without a visual reference.
-
therefore, someone leaving dressrosa can't be too close, so only those that have mapped the proper references from other islands that have working logs (or some luck) would find it easy to get to.

EDIT: Here's the evidence (Assuming he left after the phone call)..
I read the chapters in question, makes sense if Vergo was indeed with Doflamingo when he had his conversation with Caesar. Ty for your effort!

I believe it will be just as you said, they will clean up the mess that is left from the Straw Hat's / Law's rampage and report it to Dofla, since Vergo will be taken out during this arc. At least I hope so, after all the talk of redeeming the marines honor etc. It would be a real slap in the face if Smoker fails to finish the job.
On the other hand Buffalo and Baby 5 could be needed to keep the other Straw Hat's occupied.
So far we have- Luffy
- Zoro
- Smoker
Who are, without a doubt, threats that need to be dealed with 1 on 1.
Now Oda could remove Sanji from the roster due to his broken leg, Chopper due to rumble ball abuse and Franky because of his Sunny business. Nami might be occupied with the kids, since it was her main goal to keep them safe. Usopp & Brook could take care of Caesar's army of fodder (the whole secret room is full of them after all).
Which leaves us with- Robin
- Kinemon
Against
- Caesar
- Vergo
- Monet
- Baby 5
- Baffalo
5 vs 5, sounds fair to me.

my thoughts as well, baby 5 and buffy would just be there to fetch clown, monet and vergo back to dress rosa….that's all their orders, maybe just a short skirmish to show their abilities, but doflamingo specifically said what they would do....its just to get monet, vergo and clown outta there.
basically a signal of transition from an arc to another.

Need new chapter. Hoping it's good. If not, I will be sad. Betting we get Momonosuke HUMAN form reveal tomorrow (unless he's stuck as a dragon). Also betting chapter is named after Momonosuke in some way.
-
Last week spoilers surfaced an hour from now so not long guys. I'm hoping we get some of Nami's group vs. Monet this chapter, Oda might even reveal her Devil Fruit
-
I'm hoping for a reveal for either Monet and/or Momonosuke's DF. Or a Buffalo and Baby 5 appearance. I'm hoping the Smoker vs Vergo fight ends in a tie, I like PH but I want their fight to finish in a place where there is no chance of external interference.
-
Well I really liked this chapter and the spoilers will hopefully be up soon…
I'm so excited!
Anyway, I think the new chapter will focus on Vergo vs. Smoker and Nami/Zoro/Chopper (because they were barely in this one...) I really wanna see what's going on with Monet! Oh and I really wouldn't be surprised if Buffolo and Baby 5 show up soon...we are not sure how for Dressrosa is but I'm guessing they are going extremely fast either way.

I think if he gets his heart back…law can fight too.

WAT.
Then who's the father o O o?It is the lovechild of of Trafalgar Law, Apoo and Sabo. Who is called Safalgarbo Poo
-
Usually don't post in chapter topic cause not much to say other than awesome each week so why bother.
Have one question this week. Obviously none of you guys can answer it, but wondering what the failure entitles to this devil fruit.
Will he have more than 3 forms, Hybrid, dragon, human. Will he have less? Is he stuck in dragon form? What is it that made that fruit a failure?
-
Someone in one of the actual ch. 685 threads pointed out that it doesn't have any actual swirls and it's true if you look at it. That would be a hilarious reason.
-
Vegapunk! That caught me off guard. I wrote 3 quarters of this a week ago and forgot to finish it, whoops. I sort of rushed the last two parts today.
-
Coribou just fights by swinging a shovel? Huh. I expected a devil fruit or something considering his bounty is nearly identical to Caribou's. He's either a really good fighter (like better than Zoro pre-timeskip), or he's hiding his power still. It looks like that's the only fighting panel we'll get of him for now, though.
-
I dig the Smoker vs Vergo fight. It's a nice action sequence. The only real curveball in it is Vergo's little wtf dartgun move which continues to make us question what's up with his power. That he made the bamboo stick expand so much while hardened is what seems odd. I see Vergo's taking the opportunity to destroy the room while he fights, but I almost expect those tanks blowing up to let more shinokuni gas in, the way things have gone. I like how Smoker got a good punch in and had some nice lines to go with it, but his redemption better not stop there! I assume Law will retrieve his heart during the confusion of the fight, or at least I hope he does. I'm a little spent on the heart handicap thing.
-
Is this right? Gas tanks blow up on both sides of the room where Sanji and Tashigi are and shinokuni starts leaking in from both sides? The giant B building doesn't make that possible! Oh well, it's a minor concern. I enjoyed the dialogue in this scene. I found Sanji to be hilarious, and I feel like his character has recovered nicely from the nosebleed fiasco. I'm curious how this will impact them pursuing the Strawhats in the future, since these G-5 guys seem to love him. Smoker and Tashigi won't budge for sure. I'm a lot more curious about why Sanji ran the other way (towards the gas). Hopefully he's about to do something awesome, but the panel at the end of the chapter with him and the G-5 guy seems to point the other way. I guess that baby dragon is going to get caught in the gas too, which is unfortunate, but he'll probably survive anyway like everyone else who's getting caught.
-
The most surprising thing about this chapter to me is that Caesar is willing to sacrifice the kids. They seem like valuable research subjects to him, and were the one reason I figured that the B building couldn't get gassed. Obviously we have answers to this with the next chapter, but that's not the point. I like how he doesn't sacrifice his men pointlessly just for the sake of being a jackhole. Instead he stays true to his character, and treats them like simple resources that shouldn't be wasted without a purpose. The obvious error of judgment in his new plan to gas everyone is that the only direction they'll be able to go from room R is… up to where he is.
-
Love the Vegapunk appearance, even if it's a bit vague. He's exactly how I imagined him to be character wise.
-
Props to Aohige and everyone else who suspected that Momonosuke would be down in the trash. It's a very interesting dragon design, since it's in a different style from the ones we've seen to this point. But I'll be sad if that baby dragon from earlier winds up being unimportant now. D:
-
-
That reminds me I wanted to mention my thoughts on this to you a week or two ago Urouge. It was mentioned that the Celestial Dragons did get close and name a dragon. It was mentioned when only the first dragon showed up so people probably expected it to be that dragon but it's likely that young dragon instead.
-
That's… actually a really good point. I hope that's true.
-
Don't wanna stomp on your hopes but I don't see that happening next chapter, at best it's been about an hour since the phonecall with doflamingo.
We don't actually know how far Dressrosa is but judging by the time between CC's original phonecall to Vergo to the time it took him to appear on Punk Hazard I would say they might turn up in 3 to 6 chapters.Time elapsed so far means nothing for what can happen in future chapters
