Yeah, I don’t really buy that they’ve slowed down voices to any noticeable degree to add runtime.

I have checked some episodes now. Also I have rewatched the whole series up to Dressrosa lately. I can‘t make out any difference when it comes to the way characters speak.
-
The only time I can recall this is early Wano, in which I think it was intentional, as they were undercover and such.
-
Love this project! Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication!
I think the Enies Lobby 7 episode might have an issue with the torrent. Does not download for me, while all others worked fine.
-
Just caught up to the Wano releases. I've gotta say, I'm rather surprised you kept the bulk of the Luffy/Kaido fight, as well as the Inuarashi/Ashura fight, considering a lot was filler.
Was it editing difficulty due to the soundtrack? I also noticed some scenes ended up retaining their anime order (such as the first time we meet King and Queen, which happens in Ch. 925, but here it's after 926).

A lot of the extra footage in those two were left in due to music and pacing purposes. The adaptation of the former was just too different to effectively cut all of it out, and same with the second, especially since it was used to bridge the Act 1 intermission and Act 2 just like the manga.
Scenes switch so often nowadays with OSTs as they transition that putting everything in manga order is impossible. We still do it when it's possible, but it's not always able to be done.

Ah, I see. That's unfortunate, but kinda what I expected. Sucks the anime is overly complicating some of the scenes when you guys do such a fantastic job. Lol.
Will this also be what happens with Ace in Alabasta? That's a question that's bugged me for awhile.
-
Hey so, I was editing the dub over the first punk hazard one pace, really just to see if I could. So I was wondering if anyone knew what the track at around 26 minutes is off the top of their head? I've been trying really hard to find it but havent had any luck.

Enies Lobby 25 is out! After 2.5 years, Enies Lobby in One Pace is complete! (mostly)
Torrent: https://api.onepace.net/download/torrent.php?hash=7e24c561da498f298ff137f5462d5fe89b38edff
Direct Download MP4: https://www119.zippyshare.com/v/5EMGcK8Q/file.htmlA batch will be released eventually with minor editing and subtitle changes, but there will be 2 major changes in the batch:
- Dual Audio for Enies Lobby 1-22
- The 1080p source used for Enies 16+ will be used for 1-15.
We hope you've enjoyed the long road through Enies Lobby. What's next?
-
Water 7 with dual audio would be a dream. Though that arc doesn’t need massive cutting. Maybe that’ll make it easier?
Honestly, just do what you want. Would love if you updated arcs you’ve done with dual audio, but you guys are doing a service with no pay, so just do what you want.
-
Here, I finished my little attempt of adding english audio to a one pace episode: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Z_oSgOmm00p0TkS2QX4QelVziTdUgacx/view?usp=sharing This was just for fun, I'm not a fantastic editor, and I haven't posted the link anywhere else. I think I did a fine job for the most part, but there are some cuts I couldn't get just right, and some of the differences in lines makes a few cuts not make much sense. For example at one point Usopp yells "I could've used some help back there!" and we have no idea what he was referring to. I imagine if you ever made an official dual audio version you'd make some changes to accomodate both versions, and your general higher current quality. Oh and I just used the original visuals, which have hard subbed attack names.
-
Ah, no batch till all the extra changes are made to the old eps? A shame, but nice to know an improved final product is on the way eventually! Thanks for all the hard work, another arc down!
-
Huh? It only uploaded in 360p for some reason. Thats… odd. My edit I mean.

You started Skypiea but it's still incomplete and badly in need of the One Pace treatment, just throwing that out there :)
-
Forgot to say congrats on another arc mostly completed!
And I second Skypeia needing tightening most; I’m just personally more likely to rewatch W7 One Pace.
-
Baratie is the one I feel the need for most keenly - to delay that moment you have to stop using One Pace in any full series rewatch! Right now you have to swap back to One Piece after only 14 eps, alas
-
Yay for another arc done. Thanks so much!
-
Congrats guys! Your hard work is greatly appreciated and the final product is amazing!
-
You started Skypiea but it's still incomplete and badly in need of the One Pace treatment, just throwing that out there :)
It's hard to say just how badly Skypiea needs paced. It's 43 episodes, about 1.5 chapters per episode. The One Pace overview claims to 33 episodes, about 2 chapters per episode.
Assuming each One Pace episode averages at 30 minutes (Some One Pace episodes are shorter than 30 minutes, some are as long as 45 minutes, and some are 30 minutes, so I think this is a fair average), you're looking at 42 minutes cut. That's practically just cutting the openings and endings. -
Congratulations on finishing EL! Amazing job.
Alabasta arc had really bad pacing, it could definitely use some help c:

That's practically just cutting the openings and endings. It's a cominbation of me thinking Skypiea was a bit of a slog even in the manga, with the anime making that worse so any tightening is an improvement plus the fact that it's the ONLY arc they've started that is currently unfinished and on hiatus and I just don't like gaps lol.
It's why, if I were them, my priority after Skypiea would be Water 7 since then, once Post War is done, you have the ENTIRE series from Skypiea to Wano in Pace form.
This is all just me thinking out loud tho. They do amazing work, and I'm excited for anything they bring!
-
Congratulations on finishing EL! Amazing job.

I can definitely agree with you there. The pacing is particularly atrocious from the beginning to Yuba. They add in so much filler like the sand people and those two cowardly hero guys. And it's hard to skip because there's canon stuff like Vivi's flashback woven in.
-
I hope you guys are planning a site overhaul or something, cause it's kind of a mess right now
With the streaming layout it was pretty straightforward, but now, just finding a specific episode is kind of a challenge -
Sorry I keep harping on this but you guys don't seem to care much, but would it be fine if I made more dub edits? I don't expect them to be like considered official ones, I'm guessing you guys want to EVENTUALLY do what youre doing with enies lobby to the whole series and youre probably much better at it, just to like provide for accesibility for the series in the moment. I understand if you wouldn't want me to though, I'm reusing your own work.
-
@Galaxy:
We hope you've enjoyed the long road through Enies Lobby. What's next?
I really want Alabasta, but I think Water 7 or Skypeia might be a better choice right now. It'd also be so great to have the whole East Blue Saga taken care of (Baratie). But it'd be equally great to put Water 7 down so that everything post Skypeia is One Paced.
Side note, I know it was probably for content reasons, but it's really jarring to begin Romance Dawn with the post-Marineford art style and jump back hard to the Classic age. Is it not possible to make a mostly workable version of Chapter 1 from the flashbacks Luffy has in Orange Town? I know we never see him stabbing his face, but using Episode of Luffy and 504 just feels wrong art-wise.
-
@Galaxy:

Baratie would be nice if it's an easy quick fix to spit out fast, otherwise, Water 7 would be preferred.

I think it would be pretty hypocritical of the One Pace crew to not want their work reused while they themselves are editing the series without Toei's blessing.

It'd only be an issue for us if we were mixing HD footage with non-HD footage in the same episode. Otherwise, it's not that big of a deal. Episode 4 is missing quite a bit of content that the HD remakes of Chapter 1 do adapt.
In an eventual remake of Romance Dawn 1, it would just use Episode of East Blue footage, so no mixing Episode of Luffy and Episode 504.

You can do so if you want to. Everything we rerelease or release will implement the dub though, yes.
-

Luffy's bit of Episode of East Blue is virtually panel for panel Chapter 1, right? That probably is the best way to do that. The only downside there is that, though far more faithful, we also have to deal with the art shift after it. That ends up being up to taste, I suppose. Coby doesn't get shot in the original anime, but he does in East Blue. I presume that would be part of the edit as well then.
Also, please never take my criticisms as me being ungrateful. I love this project and the drive behind it. I'm always extremely appreciative of what the One Pace crew does. I would probably have not gotten into the series had I not discovered One Pace. So again, a big thank you from the bottom of my weeb heart.
Side note: I amateurishly cobbled together a version of Chapter 1 and 2 using what we get from Ep 4 and 1, removing what I could to best represent the manga, but keep the classic age animation. You lose the first two pages of Chapter 1 and the 10-year-later epilogue, but it is what it is. Chapter 2 was nigh impossible because the entire setting in Episode 1 is filler-packed, but aside from 1 unremovable line of dialogue and a shot of both ships, I was able to remove the entire subplot of the raid on the other ship. Coby doesn't get kicked by Alvida in this version, but I'm (mostly) satisfied with my naive endeavors. If anyone wants it, let me know.
-
I personally love that they used Episode of Luffy for their episode 1.
It's a great litmus test for people getting into the show. Gives them something to look forward to when it switches. "Hmm I don't like this art style much, but at least I know it gets better at some point."

Looking forward to seeing more Little Garden eps, too! That one shouldn’t be too long, luckily.

Whoooo! Yes! Water Seven! With that, and finishing Post War, everything starting with Long Ring Long Land will be Paced!
Excite! Hoping y'all get a good chunk of W7 done before we get to it! Been rewatching the series to show my sister's Girlfriend OP.
We're about to wrap up Little Garden and start Drum!

Loguetown Remake is out in Dual Audio!
I re-edited all episodes from scratch so the differences from the original release are too numerous to log accurately, but to summarize:
-
Modern raws and encode settings
-
Dual Audio
-
Fixed continuity and editing issues, like Smoker teleporting or referencing cut scenes.
-
Subtitle Revamp
-
The Arc is now 3 episodes. Episode 2 is a little different from most One Pace episodes as it's mostly based on non manga material. TLDR it goes over material from episode 48 and 50 which covers Daddy the Father and Roger's execution. This material was omitted from the manga because Oda was under pressure to reach the Grand Line in time for chapter 100 and ahead of the anime's premiered. The omitted storyline was adapted into a novelisation and the anime.
I tried to preserve only material that's consistent with the manga's tone, pacing and presentation. I think the episode came out relatively well and we're still removing over 45% of footage from the original version of the arc.
Hope everyone enjoys this revamp!

Amazing, Thank you for your efforts with this one.
Are there any other arc you feel need redoing?
-
You're really plowing through the series lately.
-
I appreciate the inclusion of a Songs/Signs subtitle track!
-
There was a slight audio normalization error making the episodes a bit quite so we reuploaded the loguetown torrent from yesterday. Also there was a funny error where Smoker talked in Japanese for a scene in the dub of episode 3, these errors should be fixed now so plz redownload if you care about those. (I've updated the torrent link).

Welp looks like I'm not editing anymore dub pace any time soon. I was half way through punk hazard part 2 and the project corrupted lol.

Personally, I'd definitely appreciate it if you tried again.
One Pace's dub releases aren't anywhere near complete so when my friends who prefer the dub come to me asking for help it's nice to have options. -

One Pace's dub releases aren't anywhere near complete so when my friends who prefer the dub come to me asking for help it's nice to have options.Well, I already have lol. Bit of an over reaction because I was frustrated, almost back to where I was completion wise again actually. I'll probably wait until I catch up to whats out of punk hazard to share them, which shouldnt take too long? Whats out currently only covers the first 10 parts of punk hazard. Will see what happens though.
-
Today I watched the latest Episode of One Piece and it makes me appreciate your project even more. The visuals were nice and all but the slow pacing did not work for this impactful moment, at least for me. I can‘t wait to see your version though.
Thanks for all of your work. I‘m sure it is hard but thanks to you I can enjoy the series so freaking much.
-
Eventually we will redo punk hazard in dual audio. The current version we have up is from 2013 and isn't up to our current standards so I'd be weary of using those.

I figured, but "eventually" can be a long time, so I don't think there's any harm in editing dub over the original edit before you get back to it.

Yeah, it’ll be nice to have something quickly done in the meantime, for folks who aren’t watching this for the first time but just want to rewatch at a faster clip. Thanks, Blake. I’ll check it out when you finish.

Totally agreed on all this! The death scene in the latest episode was just dragged way too long to work, even if it was mostly well-handled. Can’t wait for them to get here in the Wano edits. Fingers crossed they’ll drop more episodes soon.
