Italy would have not even gone to penalties if Joe HArt didn't play out of his fucking mind for England
EURO 2012
-
-
Yes! YES! YES! Italy did it! YES! :DD
-
And Italy made it!
They deserved it.Uh oh… Germany vs Italy.
This brings some shitty memories back.
2006... ;__; -
Sigh….Young has done simply nothing this Euro -.- If it was not for Johnson and Hart, Italy would have won before extra time...Second Half of ET, no spirit from English. 1:8 shots on Target ratio. England simply deserved to lose. Well Done Italy, especially Cassano, man of the match IMO.
-
DAMN IT ASHLEY COLE
I wasn't watching it but everyone seems to be blaming him.Though.
I totally called it.
I knew we'd lose XD -
England sucked, Italy deserved the win for how they were playing. And now Italy needs to lose to Germany and all will be right with the world. Who would play Germany though? I don't know how that works and haven't been watching.

Winner of Germany/Italy vs winner of Spain/Portugal face off in the finals

Spain - Portugal
Italy - Germany -
Oh yeah I forgot about that somehow.
-
Being a follower of EPL, it hurts to see England lose :\ Italian football >>English.
Semis will be worth a watch.
Germany, hands down. -
Goal of the fucking tournament
-
Seriously, that was such a gutsy shot.
But it was absolutely beautiful.
-
classic England.
losing on penalty shoot out.now two exciting semis games are ahead of us.
can't wait for it -
Trust a Man U and a Chelsea player to fuck it up for England
-
Oh well.
England never win.
They don't win anything.
Just look at Eurovision.
Good luck with the Olympics, England. -
Eurovision…
Hah.
Block voting at it's finest
-
No complaints about the result, Italy bossed the match.
Though i would've been happier if we lost to the header that was ruled offside.
Penalties are always the shittiest way to exit a tournament. You know what pisses me off, though?
Not the fact that we lost, but the fact that we took the lead and then threw it away in spectacular fashion. Typical fucking england. >_< -
-
Italy and England was a brilliant match, I knew it was going to go into shootout. The better team won and now we are awaiting two awesome semi final games.
-
I'm glad I was able to see today's match after missing the Xabi Alonso show yesterday.
Italy played well, but I still say Germany and Portugal win their games, because right now, Spain looked mediocre with the exceptions of Alonso and Fabregas, and Portugal is playing extremely well. As for Germany, I just think they're too much for Italy. It won't be a high scoring game like Greece/Germany, but I expect Balotelli and Klose or Gomez to get one each.
-

Watching England epically fail is equally as beautiful.

Spain needs a striker who is in form but besides that, the remaining team aren't really playing mediocre. They are creating chances but the only thing lacking is an in-form striker who can make some runs through the defenses which is done horribly by fabregas (which is expected since he is a mid) and done well by Torres but let down by his finishing. If they could somehow get Torres back in form, they would be a pretty good match against Portugal or Germany

David Villa is missing. That's the problem at hand. :|
Although I'm still confident that they'll beat Portugal. -
You guys seem to forget that Spain wins most of their matches in that fashion..having the ball for most of the time and the opponent has to run 90mins.
That they dont have a born forward this time doesn
t handicap them in the slightest and i also dont see that they play in any way more pathetic as this year. Afteall they won the world championship with four times in a row 1:0, because they
re the most effective team there is.
They never rly tried to show more glamour than necessary…having the control all the time and changing gears when necesssary is the concept.
And while scoring one goal while staying clean is enough they show as always perfection in keeping the ball possesion high and so controlling the game without giving the opponent the chance to score a goal. -
I do believe that Spain is gonna have to start Fernando Torres against Portugal though
-
Nani and Ronaldo will be a pain in the ass to the Spanish defense that's for sure. I wonder how they will try to play busquets that will be quite crucial. Will they try to make him man mark Ronaldo like how he did to Sneijder WC final or try to stay in the middle to try and break up attacks. But Portugal majorly attacks from the wings so it will be quite interesting how Spain is going to line up

Lmao , Sneijder and Ronaldo has a big difference in skill.
Ronaldo is arguably the best player in the world (or second after messi) while Sneijder was nowhere this year. And i never thought Busquets as a good player , seems like somehow he got into then team than made it into it.

I never said they were the same. Sneijder is a playmaker and Ronaldo plays as a forward but both are vital for creating and scoring goals for their teams. I was also referring to the Sneijder during the WC where he was in form and got Netherlands to the finals also being the tournament's top scorer. If you remember the finals, Sneijder was completely marked out of the game by Busquets and Netherlands' attack was pretty much completely neutralized
Ronaldo on the other hand will be screwing around with Pique but generally, he drops back and tries to link up with the midfield. This is where Busquets might come into play. And if someone who has won 2 CL, 1 WC and is an automatic starter for Barcelona is not considered a good player according to you then…
-
Talks and explainations before match, always interesting to read.

Just gonna ignore your little 19th century nationalist shit?
Did you vote for Golden Dawn Mugiwara? -

Portugal only plays well when Ronaldo plays well, and who knows how consistently well will Ronaldo play tomorrow? Just because he played like he should in the last two games doesn't mean that he will play like that again. Spain, however, plays consistently well because their gameplay focuses less on a single person and more on teamwork and patience.
-
I dunno, I just think that Portugal will somehow pull it through. Spain still hasn't impressed me the way they did in the World Cup by the semis. I still think Germany will take it all, anyways. Unless Balotelli scores a hat trick.
-
Only ten minutes to go until we get to see some classic soccer. So excited. :]
-
Wait what? The game's not till Thursday.
Edit: Aah! Where do I watch it!?
-
Wah. Nerve wrecking.
Damn that referee. :< M. Veloso played the ball, Nani played the ball, J. Pereira was a fault but so was the penalti against CR7 hrrrr
-
So this may be the worst game of the tournament so far.
No real attacks from Spain, no good finishing from Portugal, and so many 'injuries'. Plus the ref is the Oprah Winfrey of yellow cards.
EDIT: Iniesta with the dive of the match, folks.
EDIT: Ooh, Pedro may have provided a good challenge there, folks!
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
And then extra time is actually good.
-
LOL Portugal. That's what you get when you don't let Ronaldo take that PK
-
Good job to Spain, winning on PKs, but it was still a lousy game. Not impressed by either team. One team can't attack, one team can't finish, all around bad.
EDIT: I'm not sure why Ronaldo wasn't the 1st kicker.
-
Seriously. Why was Ronaldo last?
How do you not have him kick?
Portugal deserved to lose thanks to that bone-headedness.
-
Do we even know if Ronaldo was on the list? I mean, he probably was, but still.
-
Do we even know if Ronaldo was on the list? I mean, he probably was, but still.
If he wasn't, that's even dumber.
-
Of course he was on the list. But he wanted to kick last. He wanted the show; the drama. And this is what he gets- not even the chance to participate. The irony is wonderful.
Spain didn't play as good as they usually do but at least they've won so… YES! GO SPAIN!
And tomorrow Italy will win as well.
-
zzz I don't want to watch Spain pass the ball around for another 90 minutes.
-
They should've done away with regulation time and started with extra time.
Great. Now Spain get to bore their way to the final and another trophy. I'll be supporting Germany wholeheartedly now.
What does Llorente have to do to get a game? With the beautiful crossing from Jordi Alba and Jesus Navas, it was incredibly frustrating to see the midgets Iniesta and Fabregas at the end of those crosses. -
I'm about to fly back home, so tomorrow I'll be with my family to watch Italy pummel Germany.
And then take down Spain to win it all.
It will be glorious.
-
First half it ´was an even match..second half Portugal was dominating but without rly good chances (beside 88min 4 against 2 situationb with CR7 bombing the ball over the goal).
Overtime Spain showed that they still could push because Portugal was k.o from all the previous running.
Penalty…first one was damn good defended..than worst try ever by Portugal.
In the end one aluminium for Portugal and one for Spain, but lucky Spain did score with it. -
Why 2 defenders, why??? I don't get it. :/
Germany for the win. I don't want this professional borers to be champions once more.
-
I agree with everyone else, that game was really boring. Can't wait to see Germany kick Italy's ass tomorrow.
-
I'm not really watching the games but I am following them. I was actually hoping Portugal would win. Boring ass game determined by penalty kicks.
I'm guessing Germany's going to win it all.
