They come unlocked from the start in Bayonetta 1 but in 2 you have to buy them as mentioned.
Got Bayo 2 on launch but haven't been able to play just yet with work and getting sick and having to go to jury duty. Hopefully I can start tomorrow. I wanna play some Tag Climax as well with friends. Just need more Wii U friends.
I've been playing the game intensely since Friday, trying to 100% it this time around (which I definitely didn't do for Bayonetta 1). I already beat 3rd Climax and am 2/3 done with getting platinum on every level in 2nd Climax for the unlocks.
I'd love to play Tag Climax at some point! I've only done with CPU so far, and I don't even know how it works to play with friends directly (can you?). I need to try out these different characters and unlock the secret ones that challenge you randomly as you play the mode.
I STILL don't quite understand how the betting works. So you bet a certain amount, and if you fail the battle you lose them… but if you win the battle but get outscored by your partner, what happens? Do you also lose them? Or do you just not get the multiplier? And what happens to your accumuated Halos if you quit out before finishing a set of 6? Or if you fail a mission before finishing the set of 6?
I went to Best Buy to purchase the game, but they didn't have any copies. Another day, another day.

No I agree, 2 is significantly easier. The ultimate climax thing where all your attacks turn super definitely makes it easier. Not saying that's necessarily a bad thing, but when I finished the first game for the first time I'd say I had died roughly 30 times, while I only died 2 times in the sequel. Again, could just be practice, but I doubt it.
I just beat the game with all plat. Stuff left:
-Beat the game on easy (for a stupid accessory)
-Beat the game on infinite climax (for a bewitchment)
-Beat the lost chapters
-Play Tag Climax until I unlock the remaining verse cards/characters
-Collect a few stray things (a witch heart piece that I don't know where it is, a couple crows, etc)
-Grind about 12 million halos to buy out the shop
-Beat Rodin
-Finish the other bewitchments… the two notable annoying ones are killing every enemy in jetfighter assault and beating the chapter 12 boss without taking damage, otherwise they are grindy like freezing 40 enemy types
There's a stock shortage everywhere. Nintendo didn't make enough to meet demand it seems. I've seen it in both states I've been in this week tho.
Which is good I guess right? Its doing better than expected.
Oh well, I'll wind up getting a copy in a week or two then, got too much freelance lately anyways.
Best thing, got money. Sucky thing no time to do anything with it. Oh life.
Picked it up last night, and I am currently going through the first one seeing as I never played it before, but I look forward to both experiences. It sure is fun.

Nice Jojonetta. Anyway, I did all the Tag Climax stuff alone since nobody here replied to me. Was pretty boring. I'd still be down to do it for fun with someone though, especially to play around with the characters exclusive to the mode.

I got the game, but haven't got a chance to play. I just recently won a nice live streaming gaming device and I'm kinda half holding off for that, and half waiting til I get some freelance done before indulging myself.
Well I finished it over the weekend haha. Got everything there is to get in the game. Though I might go back to try to better my scores on the five Witch Trials. Just because. And I'd still be down for some Tag Climax. I'd give the secret playable characters a whirl, since I haven't tried them.

Man, story of my life. I've been trying to live stream for 4 years and it just hasn't really taken off… I don't want to play games without live-streaming yet live-streaming breaks my immersion and depresses me because no one is watching LOL.
Also, I came across your Kirby drawing tutorial the other day really randomly on YouTube and it helped me quite a bit! I now draw in high resolution and use the paint-bucket tool to fill in my solids. Has literally turned my slow 10 hour a pic process down into half of that or less. I still am having issues with the paint-bucket tho as it leaves a halo effect around the lineart. You addressed that in the video but I can't figure out how to stop it from happening. Eitherway, thanks a bunch for that and if you need any help setting up live streaming I'll be more than happy to assist. You're lucky to be getting into it now that it has been simplified, it was a nightmare a few years ago. Literally days upon days of setting tweaking and test streaming lol.

A. Use the Magic Selection tool, then go to Select -> Modify -> Expand by 1 to 5 Px depending on our resolution, this will make it so when you fill the color goes past into the outline defeating the Halo.
B. Draw line art with Pencil Tool instead of Paint Brush, this removes Anti Aliasing to your lines so when you fill in your colors it will two tone, preventing any halo effect.
C. Turn up the tolerance on your pain bucket.

hmmm I feel like a countdown would be unnecessary if it was just that I also feel that Bayonetta amiibo would be revealed with Cloud and Corrins.
I'm going to say it's one of 2 things either A: Bayonetta 1+2 port for the Switch (maybe with some enhancements) or B: Bayonetta 2 going multi-platform (including the Switch)
The countdown was first linked from somewhere in the 8-bit Bayonetta game they released on Steam on April Fools day so I would imagine it has something to do with a PC release of at least the first game. Some people are saying it'll be 2 too but considering how Nintendo was involved that seems unlikely.
