First art has just come out. Would have been looking forward to this anyway since the first was fantastic, but….....

According to Wiki, it beings immediately after the first one where Flint is kicked out his town for creating the mess in the first place. But after meeting up with his idol (voiced by Will Forte <3) the food machine turns back on and begins creating mutant food-animal hybrids and Flint has to come back save the day.
Everyone but Bruce Campbell is signed on to appear.

i thought the machine was destroyed after flint sprayed the spray-on shoes spray on its mouth, causing it to overload and explode.

After the disastrous food storm in the first film, Flint and his friends are forced to leave the town. Flint accepts the invitation from his idol Chester V to join The Live Corp Company, which has been tasked to clean the island, and where the best inventors in the world create technologies for the betterment of mankind. When Flint discovers that his machine still operates and now creates mutant food beasts like living pickles, hungry tacodiles, shrimpanzees and apple pie-thons, he and his friends must return to save the world.[1][4][5] So… guess it still works after being blown up.
Awww no Bruce?
Is Burn Notice keeping him that busy? :sad:
This really doesn't need a sequel.
The first was good by itself, but…no.
if they can make it work, i'd be okay with it
i wouldn't mind if they tried something new though
Does really everything need a sequel?
The story was told the first time..not a brilliant movie but still enjoyable.
Now we get just for the sake of having a money making´sequel a movie that will be wasted time and money for all who really have to see it in theaters^^
Not really needed but ok i guess…
So… guess it still works after being blown up.
im surprised it still does after what happened.
@Don:

If it turned a profit at the box office regardless of how modest it was…yes.
If the horror genre has proved anything, it is that a movie doesn't even need to be profitable or require a sequel (in terms of plot and audience demand) in order to spawn another movie.
^ If that's the case where's my sequel to Jason X?
Honestly I would LOVE to see a sequel to Jason X where Uber Jason flies through space and slashes teenage alien campers on Mars. But….Hollywood pretty much said "Fuck You" and gave us the silly reboot which I am certain they are preparing a sequel for at the moment. Hollywood has pretty much worse reasons for making sequels.
I was particularly shocked they never made a theatrical sequel to Freddy vs Jason.

Only because they could never get Freddy vs Jason vs Ash to go forward.

It is pretty indicative that there is no justice in the world. We got plenty of shitty Alien Vs Predator movies, but not a possibility for Freddy vs Jason sequel (or Freddy vs Jason vs Ash which would have been cinematic gold or at least very entertaining cinematic shit simply with the novelty of having Campbell and Englund in the same movie).
I'm having trouble understanding this especially seeing as I just caught the ending to the Movie on CN. It ends with everyone happy, and this one begins with them kicking him out of town and blaming it on him despite the fact that this problem was caused in a joint effort between him and the town constantly requesting different food rain down. Hell, even the officer guilt tripped him into making it rain for his son's birthday.
Great, I'm thinking too much about it again.
As far as quality goes lets hope its the closer to Toy Story 2 than Madagascar 2
This aired again recently on Cartoon Network.
As always, the whole sequence with the machine in the middle of the cloud bugged the hell out of me as I knew I'd seen something like that before and never could place it.
Later, I was flipping around and ran across Boomerang, which had an old episode of Ben 10 on. The plot of that episode was this would-be weatherman launching a machine to create weather that he could report on. So that minor mystery has been solved.
trailer is out on imdb looks good
You could have at least put up the trailer…
(stolen from the non-disney animation thread)
@taboo:
lol not hard to type www.imdb.com then click a video isit
Id say you are a jerk but since Valiant kind of did the same thing to me when it came to the plot of To Kill A Moking Bird, you are good.
