Probably fake or not but those mentioned Pokémon sound very interesting including their shapes and types. It would amazing to see planet/black hole shaped Pokémon.

The elemental Elite Four bugs me a lot, this would be the first time the final matches are against leaders that use pk of the four main narutal types.
That would be a GOOD thing. Change of pace.
Last couple of games having a decent dark type pretty much takes care of three of the common recurring ones. (Psychic, dark and ghost) The constant fight, ice and dragon is annoying too. Variety is good.
Gen 4 was bug, ground, fire and psychic, and that was the only one to really mix it up.
-
I think the most disappointing news from all these rumors is about all the baby Pokemon supposedly being introduced. Like, why?
Other than that, I like the vast majority of them.
Also. We NEED a Dark-type Gym. I believe we haven't had one yet, in any generation.
-
Assuming any of that is true, I wonder what was the thought process behind "hey, you know who needs an evolution? Starmie!"
-
All I know is I'd really like there to be a baby pinsir, so I'm down with that idea at least.
-
Awesome stuff.
A Houndoom evolve form that would be godlike
-
Assuming any of that is true, I wonder what was the thought process behind "hey, you know who needs an evolution? Starmie!"
Starmie is awesome shut your whore mouth
-
Must. Not. Let. Myself. Get. Excited. Over. Possible. Fake.
-
@Cyan:
Starmie is awesome shut your whore mouth
I fucking love Starmie as well, but it's good enough that it doesn't need an evo.
though I must admit, the idea of a shmup-boss-esque final form is amazing.
-
How can Starmie evolve if it already evolved via stone?
-
@Cyan:
Starmie is awesome shut your whore mouth
Holy unnecessary anger batman! That's exactly my point … Starmie is a beast already and looks awesome. And it's been OU for five generations, doesn't feel like it needs an evolution to remain relevant.
Granted, idk if gamefreak would care about that at all

What's with all those split evos? Why would Flaffy of all Pokemon get one (which has the same typing as Ampharos, even)?
Same goes for Bronzor. Isn't Bronzong already decent enough?
And Sableye gets an evolution, but Mawile doesn't?!
-
Because Ampharos looks like shit (and spoiled my like for Mareep and Flaffy).
-
What's with all those split evos? Why would Flaffy of all Pokemon get one (which has the same typing as Ampharos, even)?
I assume a second typing would be added to differentiate. It's quite possible this "insider" wasn't aware of that? Not sure though.
-
@The:
Because Ampharos looks like shit (and spoiled my like for Mareep and Flaffy).
Ampharos is a badass >=[
Wow, hadn't thought about Mawile … it is lame for it not to get an evolution when even Hariyama gets one.
-
Fake but lets wait 10 days now, we should get 2/3 pokemon this month since they got over with the movie stuff and Sylveon last month, so this month we probably get Sylveon typing some more pokemon and some gameplay info like how Sylveon evolves for example.
All this rumor posting people are saying "March" will prove them rigth, lets see if any of them is, I'm betting none will, this guy gives it away by basicly giving evolutions to mostly what people want to evolve, so everyone is like oh my favourite neglected pokemon is evolving, this guy must be rigth, then he messes up bad about the region roedant and bird and many other things.
@The:

Ampharos is awesome, one of my favourite electric types, I used it in Gold, Crystal and HeartGold.
-

I started to notice this. How convenient that when everyone wants a Dark Gym or a Fire/Ice and Fire/Grass evolution as well as some throwbacks to older pokes, lo and behold, this guy promises all that AND more.
-
I'd lose a ton of interest in the game if that were true. 30 baby/evolves of old things, 9 starters, a handful of legends, out of 100 leaves only 60 things, and most of those dual or triple evolutions…. without going through that list to do an exact count, you're really only talking about 25 new critters. I realize it's an even generation, but... that's not terribly exciting.
Not worth getting a 3DS for at any rate. (If I already had one, no question, obviously.)
I'll just go play NiNo Kuni some more.
-
I knew this was fake as soon as it said that Xerneas is Rock/Psychic.
-

Special item trade. Or its a branch path evolution. Or new happiness thing. There's ways.

I saw nothing related to either Sandshrew or Emolga in that list.

Hyping over fake news agian. Geez. I'm no longer relying on this thread for information.
-
Yeah this thread is getting kinda annoying with this stuff, do we really need discussion on stuff that's obviously fake?
-

It fills the time till we do have something to talk about.
-
It kind of seems like the information is coming slower than it did for Gens 4 and 5,
but that's probably just my imagination. -
I knew this was fake as soon as it said that Xerneas is Rock/Psychic.
for me it was Starmie of all things getting an evolution. Starmie is among the few pokemon that have been considered solid picks since the RBY days.
Anyway, the one thing I really want is a poison/dragon evo for Arbok. There's a bunch of things they could use as inspiration for that.
-
You guys act like anyone is seriously discussing this stuff as if it must be true. Its not. Its just random musings and hopes, really.
It kind of seems like the information is coming slower than it did for Gens 4 and 5,
but that's probably just my imagination.Your imagination. It was always peace mealed out in a monthly magazine. This just feels different because the simultaneous release means we'll see it in six months, instead of a year.
-
Any chance to get those a bit larger, Robby?

You';d think people would have some sense by now as to not believe anything until its confirmed. We've had so many fakes before any gen came out…

It could be fun if it turned out that the three starters where actually fake

Probably? what the heck are you talking about? is Charizard going to be revealed fake tomorrow?
The Pokemon appeared FIRST in the Nintendo Pokemon Direct, they appeared in an official source, youre not making any sense.

Just kidding it was meant to be a joke right from the start

I got that it was a joke, don't take it too hard. Your English is fine.

Just to have some variety I would like the Gymn Leaders in the following order and type:
1st: Ghost (how about we start with a real challenge)
2nd: Psi
3rd: Fight
4th: Ice
5th: Steel
6th: Dragon
7th: Bug
8th: SinisterAnd the Elite Four:
-Electric
-Water
-Grass
-FireObviously, most will be Double Type or possess support abilities that nullify their weakness to some extent or give them advantage.
Champion: Double Type and some of the strongest types such as Dragon, Ice or Steel.
Speaking of the three new starters, the one I look forward the most is the grass type. It resembles a squirrel, so it could end up being a Flying/Grass type. I also have the habit of always choosing the grass type one unless I see the other two far more appealing.

I guess its dark, dark is called evil type in Japanese, dont know in other languages, I really hope there is a dark type gym this time.

Seconded. I've been expecting one since Johto when it was introduced but then Dark became a staple of the Elite Four.

makes sense. I also wish to have a Dark type gym

you know, it would be kinda cool for the elite 4 to be the classical trio (and I guess electric is also super popular), instead of the edgier types for a change. a sort of, "you thought that you knew everything there was to know about fire, water, and grass when you picked your starter, but let me show you the TRUE potential of a grass team!!"
and of course hell yeah I've always wanted a sinister gym.
-
It would be really hard to make a Grass type Elite 4 Member without them totally sucking.
Grass really does have to be an early Gym Leader because that's really the only time it becomes somewhat of a challenge. They would have to create some really good grass types in this generation for it to work.
But yes, I really want that Dark Type Gym as well.
-
It would be really hard to make a Grass type Elite 4 Member without them totally sucking.
Its not as if seven things are resistant to grass and five different things can beat it up or anything.
Oh. Wait.
But yeah… when roughly 1/3 of all creatures have a super effective typing against it and it can't hurt 1/2 of the roster... It's really only good for blocking water types and destroying ground/rock types. (And water does most of the exact same things only with half as many weaknesses)
Pretty much the only way to make a grass type strong is to give it a steel type... and they did that. Which of course makes it super weak to fire...
-
-
What makes Grass, Fire, Water, Electric types a challenge is when their weakness is compensated by adding a second type.
Imagine for example a Grass/Fire type. It would only be vulnerable against Poison types.
But if you all recall the Elite Four from the Diamond/Pearl generation, probably half of the chooses in their teams won't even be of the type they boast so much about (Remembers Elite Four Fire type user with a Steel, Normal and Ghost types that happened to have learnt at least one fire type move.)
Just to give you an example, I have a Elektross with Flamethrower and Dragon Tail in White 2.

And Rock. And Flying.
-
Flying I forgot about but, weren't grass types resistant to rock? Or was it ground moves?
