This was so funny when it should not be.XD
Seven Deadly Sins

Meliodas basically lost because in this form he doesn't know how Escanor works. He would have won if he didn't try to attack him like an idiot.
-
Great fight. I was hoping that peak power Escanor would be the geezer from the wanted poster, oh well.
It brings again the issue that Escanor and Melodias hugely outclass the rest of the sins that couldnt do anything but watch. Ban may have something in his mind though.
-
I think that after that we need something that make Escanor vulnarable because otherwise he is a bit the easy solution to everything and it is not really interesting to read anymore. But otherwise it's true the fight look badass. Which is pleasing in time of One piece diet
I agree almost at 100%. In fact I was enjoying to see how Mel was toying with the Allmighty Escanor, wich is quite the character. But Escanor has a peak and many other moments a day he's not a solution at all (but again it would be a boring manga if the cast runs and hides before and after the noon to avoid the perfect solution). Anyway, one minute is short time and if Mel is not completely defeated, …
On the other hand, Mel's try to break the cube suggests he will break it at some moment in near future.
I have a delicious diet nowadays with OP too
-
Holy crap Escanor is cool as hell, I love him
-
To be honest, the fight was a little lackluster for me, considering what both of these have shown in previous occasions. As a whole, I mean.
-
I hated the fight both conceptually and in execution.
The interest in Escanor power is that it is a double edge sword. He is the most powerful but at the same time he can be the weakest. Making him that much weaker than Meliodas take away from that concept. At least in my opinion. It was simply a one way beat bown until a one-minute power-up that switched it to another one way beat down.
Second the excution of the fight was extremely boring. At first I thought it was becasue it is a one-way beat down but both Galan and Escanor made it work in previous encounter so I guess it was indeed the choegraphy that was boring or lacking.
-
Good to know I wasn't the only one. I found the 2 chapters super boring, but since I was in the "apathetic phase" of my hungover, I thought it could be my fault.
-
Ja! Just my thoughts! Uki, Kdom. I was reading the chapters and thinking on how One Piece was wasting pages when it could lead to something like this.
Swapping the roles with you guys, i think this is what makes Nakaba's wallet increase by the days. The battle was like a cemented Bleach-battle but it flew much faster than a Bleach one. It was great, because i know that Nanatsu doesn't have a logic too well built, so i just know that this two characters are strong and both want to prove that are stronger to the other one.
I don't mind powerlevels… there's a scouter, thus power is numbers, numbers are infinite, everyone can be infinite when solid logic isn't around. The fight was great, this is why i keep reading this.
-
It's like he used up all the ideas he had on their previous battles.
And yeah, hate it when the battles are so one sided. It's the easy way out.

That battle was sequencially one-sided :-)

To me Nakaba sure has more ideas for Mel since he and Elis still have to face the demon king and the gooddess queen. I agree with Escanor poor looking in this battle and with the impression there's no much more for him on Nakabas' vault; people are bored with it because Escanor is a favourite of many (me included). Anyway, if Escanor didn't look good, Meliodas was just awesome! I just want to see him figthing again like that.
-
Now that we know the absolute peak of Escanor, Nakaba could use his pridefulness to make him pick handicaps for himself in order to be entertained with his fights.

So…. Lets pose three questions to everyone:
- Who should have one in your opinion?
- Why?
- How should the fight have gone?/What would have made it better?
NOTE This is not a defense of the material statement, it just seems that several people have very conflicting views. That makes it the perfect chance to weigh in.

- Escanor.
- His whole power goes around the fact that by a small portion of the day he is insanely strong. Using his future defeat is a tool to make the mission (defeating DK or Goddess leader) more challenging to our heroes.
3)It could have gone better if both sides didn't try to brute force his way into winning. The fight could have been better if Mel had only the slightest edge before noon, with both sides taking meaning full damage and acknowledging the treat of the other.

I also think Escanor needed to win since there was no really other option available. After he can only do it during one minute. I hope this will be a sufficient drawback for the future.
As for the fight, like ukimix said, meliodas part was better although there is a few nice panels from Escanor like when he get rid of the sword -

1- Escanor
2- His shtick is to be the weakest and strongest. If he isn't the strongest the drawback for his power is ridiculous. It also complements his prideful nature that no one stands to him and would make him getting defeated that much more memorable and impressive. As it stands Meliodas is by far the strongest of the sins except for 1 minute at noon.
3-Closer to Escanor vs Estrossa. Let the fight start equal and contantly raising the tempo and Escanor wins at the end wjen he's power has grown strong enough. Even in a one way beat down like Galan the choegraphy was more pleasing Even if Escanor is a punching have him be a more dynamic punching bag.
-
Well, Meliodas still has some trump cards left (at least the ones we know of), one is revenge counter and the other is the indura technique, I hope that we eventually get to see the second one, it would be cool if Meliodas´s indura form is that shadow that he showed once:

The problem if they were close is that there would be absolutely no challenge since meliodas was the strongest in this form. The remaining commandements must give them a little bit of struggle

This. "To be the weakest and the strongest" is not a rule the manga has to blindly follow, if it's going to be a good manga; because it's as if it were a mathematical system that doesn't allow contradictions, and manga are not that kind of stuff. All those schticks are rather rules for fun, or rules to play with. Of course there are criteria to judge if you are getting fun. But the critera are pretty subjective and, which is more important, are not a rational thing but rather a matter of joy. For instance, I'm ok if Escanor is not the strongest as long as I have fun reading a believable story; but the credibility doesn't have anything to do with the fact that Escanor is not the mc (mc are arguably the strongest at the end of most of shonen action manga). Because a shonen action manga with a mc being not the strongest one is still possible and likely fun to read. It's just a matter to keep the mind open to see if you are having a good time, with out the glasses of certain rational rule.

Chapter's out, Arthur is back.
This is not a double K.O. but is a close one,so people can tone down on how much Escanor could be the solution to everything. The solution to everything is a perfect cube everything in sight.
I wonder what Ban must be doing now. -
The most interesting part is the question from a reader asking about Derriere on the second last page.
-
I understand Ban. Immortality without a substantial increase in strength can only get you this far. Sometimes people tend to forget that out of the seven, Ban is 100% human.
-
Even Merlin is not counting on him.
-
At least we arrived at the part where the history is aware of Ban's condition.
-
Even Merlin is not counting on him.
You’re right. Poor him. And where has he disappeared to ?
Also i found tthe scene between diane and escanor weird but it seems a traduction issue. Here is fks one :
Diane tells Escanor how reliable he is, to which Escanor gives a surprised face. She asks if she said something strange and Escanor says he is surprised over something so obviousAlso nice to learn our demon couple is not dead. That was predictable burt it’s still good to know
-
Considering Ban is by far the best character in the series I'm sure the author has something in mind to make him shine again in the next fights.
-
The thing is that while it is obvious that the author wants Ban to be awesome, doesn't he has the skill to steal power from others? What was stoping him from stealing strenght or magic power from Melasculia and then beat her with it?

I consider he was being troubled by killing his girlfriend. That's what pushed Melio to turn evil rather than wait a couple minutes and enjoy the days with Eli.

He can only steal power up to the amount his body can handle, not enough to really weaken a demon.
-
So, Merlin thinks Hawk and Ban are in the same group, huh? If both characters do fuse, the steal power of Ban it would multiply like for 100%. Kirby + immortality! dangerous.
-
Still betting that Ban's upgrade will be reacquiring his treasure. It's all conjecture, but if each treasure is suited to the user, and Ban's power is stealing physical items as well as physical characteristics. It seems at least plausible that it might allow him to steal non physical items in addition to his current limitations.
Lets run some purely theoretical numbers (if actual numbers exist that stated his limit, please tell me). He can only steal so much strength. He faced Galan when he was weakened, and stole enough strength to potentially over power him in that form. I can not recall if Galand was using his ability at the time, but lets assume he wasn't. The data shows Galand had a strength of 24,000. To over come this, Ban would have needed to take at a minimum around 12,000. Give or take a little to account for Merlascula and his own strength. I seriously doubt that is the limit of what he can take, but let's use it as a base. If my guess on his treasures ability is right, and he is able to take from other sources as well, such that he could steal magic power and spirit, even if he was only able to take roughly 12,000 of each, it would make a tremendous difference in his power level when active. Affecting a total difference of 36,000.
Add on to that the fact that in a one on one scenario, this difference would mean that the opponents power lever would drop by as much as he gained, then (if the opponent had that much to give) there would be a change in total difference between Ban and an opponent of 72,000.
The last consideration is that Ban is functionally immortal to most attacks. This would mean that he could devote more of his power to attacking instead of having to keep up a defense. This would allow Ban to fight on par with some of the most powerful combatants we have seen without making him overpowered. If I am also right that stealing 12,000 is not his limit, the increase in power could be even more pronounced.

! Is that Iai Banjou's reincarnation?
-
! Is that Iai Banjou's reincarnation?
! Considering this takes place on Medieval England, I would say ancestor.
-
It's finally out on mangastream. Arthur has powered up quite a beat. Though I'm not sure to understand completely, the one who kill the demons is someone else ?
-
I think it's either him or Iai Banchou. So we are going the evil Meliodas route, it could have worked better if we hadn't just saw what he is capable. At least, Escanor won't probably be able to deal with him alone this time.

the thing is that the demons slaughtering doesn't look like a flashback so it is a bit disturbing.
-
That demon…looked like a giant Koala.
-
It's very clearly Arthur, backup protagonist extraordinaire, who's killing the demons. I don't know why that's up for debate.
-

I am under the impression he "killed" all those demons during the day, but his attacks weren't noticed or had any effect until all of the 100 demons he attacked died at the same time. "Omae wa mou shindeiru", I suppose.
That's why Zeldoris was only warned about the deaths at that time. It also makes impossible to find the attacker when it seems like he killed demons throughout all Camelot at the same time.
-
Yeah, rereading the chapter, I guess it is indeed Arthur. The figure even match his claims. I wonder if Cath has a link with the fact he can make his presence hidden from demons. THat's pretty handy especially if he wants to get back excalibur
-
Wonder how it really works. Is he controling multiple delayed attacks of varying intervals or is there a set time limit. Like, the attacks take effect 3 hours after the ability was first activated, for example. Maybe he can control the set duration. Depending on his control, the second option might not be so suited to one on one fights.
And there's no reason why he can't use it defensively, I suppose. That's probably how he avoids detection. You know, by demons not actually noticing him until the moment the blows he delivered take effect.

! So i guess Estarossa is dead, and the couple and Dolor and Glox deserted.

! What is the fucking moustache?!
-
! I don't think Estarossa is dead. Considering how his commandment worked, he probably can't even move right now.
-
Knew it!
! Didn't expect the new players, though. Are these guys those Dark Knights we've heard being mentioned before?

! Makes sense but considering that every other commandment was shown is a little fishy that he was not.

! It seems Gloxinia and Dolor's commandments were removed but what were they in the first place? Did they ever used them?
