Ban is a bastard.Ban is the hero of all ages.
The character interactions in this series are so damn good.
-
The sentence at the end "Meliodaz is definitely dead"
-
I don't think I like how the manga seems never to be serious, it's always goofy and even the potentially serious moments get filled with jokes (like Cain's sudden change of heart). Maybe I'm just expecting the wrong things here.
-
Ooh Ban, you cunning bastard. I love you.
-
Greed is best sin.

I didn't like the chapter. I was waiting more of Cain, and if he was a guardian from Danafor, it would be believable if he goes for more explanations and simply don't show himself satisfied with Meliodas short line: "I tried to proctec, but I couldn't".
But I don't think Cain and the story were goofy or not serious in that scene. Cain simply has accumulated unresolved doubts for years about Meliodas and about what happened to Danafor. If he has a pretty good relationship with Meliodas before, his conduct seems to be perfectly understandable. Only that in the next chapters he should be asking to Melodias, what he couldn't ask in this moment because the tourney should have to continue: "why couldn't you protect Liz and the people of Danafor?"
Lame chapter to me: no good lines, no good duel, nothing much to see there, which I find unusual.

well that ended quicker then expected. either way they still get the weapon.
-
Hmm, chapter 40 is out, and chapter 41 should be out in a few hours I guess. Two chapters this week.
! I'm guessing Melodias can sense the two/three demon knights incoming and is evacuating the area for their safety. As for the fight, while I know a serious Melodias would win, I'm glad Diane appeared to have the upper hand while taking a few hits from Melodias. With her weapon in hand we should get some good action against Jericho, Geera, and the other knight.
-
I just loved seeing how physically strong Dianne actually is, I never felt that I've got a grasp on that when she fought as a giant.
I just assumed that it's a matter of scale but she's actually just a powerhouse regarding pure muscle power.! I had the same thought about him actually wanting to evacuate the city. I actually hope that the difference of strengths of each of the seven sins will get more apparent as times goes on, with Ban having superior speed and for now I want to believe that Dianne has superior physical strength. King is probably the guy with the most magic power and Meliodas is pretty hard to measure with that cheat state of his.
-
Is this manga on break this week, alongside most others?
-
-
So at one of Tomokazu Seki's Q&A sessions at Otakon this past weekend, someone asked him what ongoing manga series he would like to see to get an anime adaptation. He said Nanatsu no Taizai.
…And I was probably the only person in the audience who recognized it.
(and when the translator was having trouble wording a translation for the title, I shouted out 'SEVEN DEADLY SINS'). -
As this manga continues, the mystery of each individual sin of the main cast just makes you (or at least me) crave for more. The goofy art is actually refreshing, since it allows the situation to play from serious to easy going quite easily. The biggest question for me is what on earth did MelodÃas do to get that power? Ban´s power has been explained more or less along with Kings power. Even if their sins haven´t appeared exactly clear. Thinking twice, I guess Ban´s sin is the only one of the main cast we know. Assuming it was the destruction of that fearie forest.
-
We actually know what Melodias sin is supposed to be: the annhilation of Danafor. But most likely he isn't responsible for it.

Yes, you are right. I wonder if he´s sort of bipolar and goes over the edge when he doesn´t have hold of his broken sword. Maybe that is the key to him being the rage´s sin
-
Lmao
! King is a badass
-
! You just have to love a manga where the two main characters and their rivals where pawned on a single episode. A minor mangaka would have used the recent popularity of the series to stretch the fight for at least 4 weeks.
-
! I probably should wait for the actual chapter, but I'm still pretty torn about what happened. On one hand, it's great seeing a Sin other than the main be this strong, and the action looks smooth, fast, and fun. However, the power levels seem to be all over the place. It makes sense that Ban and Meliodas can't handle Jericho and Geera on their own, but King then goes on to whallop them without even using his weapon. Didn't he lose easily to Cain? It doesn't help that the Holy Knights seem to consistently look weak in this series. They're not doing a fine job at main antagonist.

! Well, in the chapter I read King uses his weapon. His weapon is the spear thing that he can transform into a lot of different forms. The most prominent where he transforms them into countless mini blades. So I don't see the problem we had the chapter where it was explained how much power their weapons allow them to draw.
! Also he lost to Cain exactly because he didn't use his weapon. King is super weak physically his strength seems to be powerful magic, fitting for the king of fairies I suppose
! Only thing I have to say about this chapter, damn Jericho what a crazy woman… her moment with ban is kind of creepy, crazy, scary and somewhat hot. She tells him that she did dress up as a man to look stronger. But through her defeat she managed to get to a new level and it wasn't necessary anymore.
Then she says "You've made me a woman, I'll have you take responsibility for that".(On the page where she decides to get some blood lip gloss) -

! And whats even more important is the fight Ban and Melodias just had which must have drained their strength. And king didn't do anything.

! I don't think the fact that they might have been exhausted takes precedence over the fact that they already lost 3vs1 against geera alone without their weapons when they were in relatively fine condition.
-
! I think the author is trying to focus on how important the weapons are in this world and how recovering the missing treasures would be a big priority for the Sins on the next chapters. Even when we see Ban and Meliodas awesome barefist fights this is still a medieval age and they are still knights (well, sort of), weapons are part of their fighting style and all what we have seen so far is just them joking around.
! Once all the sins are armed the combats are going to take a bigger scale, and surely the real enemies would show their faces instead of this doped knights -
What a nice day to get two new chapters, I really like the character interactions right now.
I also guess the pendant and Meliodas' disappearance will be used to initiate the search for the next member of the Sins. -
I'm wondering how Jericho's weapon is actually doing lasting damage to Ban. is that just it's ability, or is there some loophole to his immortality that she's exploiting?
-
Is Meliodas's sacred weapon his broken sword or is it something else entirely that hasn't been revealed yet?
-
Melodias sold his sacred weapon so his current sword isn't it, or at least not all of it. Also Dianne fell into some random pit, maybe Gideon also fell in there?
-

My guess is that her weapon is coated in some kind of poison that counteracts the healing effect. That, or perhaps it's absorbing the sacred water from his body.
-
44 is out. Looks like Helbram is the real deal.
-
! For those concerned about antagonists and danger for the Sins, these last two chapters should be pretty nice. It'll be interesting if Melodias is trapped for an extended period of time.
-
Ban is getting better and better with each passing chapter and the first heavy hitters arrived (Diane will probably crush them once she gets Gideon). The past few chapters have been really good.
-
Have we seen the Holy Knight at the end before? I must've forgotten, neither his name nor his design strike a bell.

He's Geera's master and so far has only appeared at the end of the capital of the dead arc to free her from the tree, I think.
We're getting a lot of extended chapters from this series these days. I hope he doesn't burn out, this has been one of my favorites these days, a little surprised that it isn't more popular on this forum.

Ah, thanks.
It's very popular on narutoforums surprisingly enough, and (going from the loud words at the beginning of the chapters) the volumes are selling well too. It's still quite young.

Chinese translations have been out since yesterday, am waiting for the raw.
http://tieba.baidu.com/photo/p?kw=%C6%DF%D4%AD%D7%EF&fp=1&tid=2581308237So without knowing anything about what is going on I'll just say that I'll dig the color pages. Something about them…
-
! This chapter looks insanely good.
-
from what i know so far
! Melodias is sealed in a jewel
Diane is gone
King's spear broke
the guys they beaten before are super-charged and got our heroes on the ropesthe odds are so not in our favor.
-
Only two things can save the party : Diane coming back with her weapon (maybe it actually just fell ?) or Meliodas transforming(?) to that giant shadow and somewhat breaking the spell.
Or maybe the fourth sin ? Even if it seems like a twist that won't be used until the next arc at the very least.

Or they lose.
Baan, King and Meliodas escape/are captured. Diane remains in the pit until she finds a way out.And the Seven Deadly Sins suffer their first major loss in the series.

honestly I just don't see them losing. After already becoming famous and inhumanly strong, They should still have powers that we haven't seen.
-
Losing is not a word in Nakaba's dictionnary, this thing belongs to flashbacks.
-
They could lose if the author needs to make things more complex. Anyway according to the raw, it seems
! they could be facing Escanor, one of the sins. So things are not easy right now
-
! After reading the raw, part of me finds it strange that king opted to transform into his human form, didn't he comment earlier on how it takes a lot of concentration to maintain? So I'm a bit iffy about that wound he received in his transformed form. Could be all just a ruse of him to get information which he couldn't get from geera and jericho earlier.
-
! So I caved and looked at the raw and aside from Helbram looking similar to Escanor– different but similar enough, could this be our traitor?-- I see Helbram can levitate just like King, and even stops King's blades during the fight apparently the same way? I was assuming at this point that it was a unique ability to Fairies.

Chapter is out: Violent Carnival

Remember me being upset about the weak Holy Knights a few weeks ago? Yeah… scratch that.
