I think it's to create more space between the original and the remake, which is also why we've gotten complete chapters of the former lately rather than bits and pieces.
Having more material for the show couldn't hurt either.
Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

You people complain just because you read ONE's original version. If you didn't know that those last chapters were "new" stuff, you wouldn't claim to notice any difference. I never read ONE's version because despite how great I think it must be, I don't want to ruin my experience reading the redrawn. And I never feel like some chapters "don't belong", also because I'm sure that ONE has more than a say on EVERY chapter, Murata is just providing the art

It's the same thing as when E.T. had walkie talkies digitally replacing the guns in the hands of the police. Or that digital edit of star wars where Lucas made Greedo shoot first.
Making edits to a story like this destroys it's legitimacy and turns it into commerical slop. It's a sellout move that turns "art" into "fastfood."

The thing is that you are implying that "change == bad", if that's your reasoning, the simple act of redrawing it is already changing the product and it's a sellout. What is actualy a sellout? Did ONE already sellout his web fanbase by turning the webcomic into something with good art, that apeals a bigger demographic? What about the Anime? Is that selling out?
Going throuhg the other examples, the whole Walkie talkie issue is the fact that the cops were getting ready to shot a bunch of kids, and even if they didn't had the intention well.. it's something to consider. It's a stupid change, because no one would remember them armed.
While the Gredo stuff is more about making a character more "good" as in a better person, that doesn't fit with the image that the character projected for everyone else, this being a change for the worse.
These creators considered these events mistakes (a police force ready to use lethal force on kids, an hero attacking during a truce), or in ONE's case, oportunities to expand upon the characters. So it isn't the same thing.

I really like how Golden Ball and Springbeard are not treated like scrubs, but actual skilled fighters that can fight well against even Garou.
Ever since their fight with the seaweed it felt to me like these two seemed a cut above say Inazumax and few other rank A fighters, despite being ranked below them.
Garou easily took out A rank 5, 6, and 7 in that meeting after all. -

I will talk a bit about the changes with the original version so dont open the spoiler tag if you havent read it.
! Garou and Saitama first encounter has changed. I dont know if this will erase the time when Saitama chased Garou out of the restaurant. That event worked well for the story because neither Saitama or Garou recalled each other on the final battle (Saitama not wanting to really face Garou out of shame and hitting him on reflexes with his back to him) but in the redrawn version there is no way things would go the same way since they were head to head.
! Should we expect heavy changes on the original story from now on? And are these changes really for the better, what do you think? -

Well the whole point of Garou encountering Saitama on the playground was so the supervising monsters could see Garou fail, cancelling his apprenticeship for the monster agency and kidnapping the boy which would set up the final conflict. In theory Murata could still have Garou attacking Saitama with him claiming that he just slipped or whatever. Nevertheless, this encounter feels superfluous and somewhat diminishes Bangs efforts which are coming to fruit.
