@marielujza:
can you speak 4 languages? i guess not. i am starting to learn english and you have no right to insult me here. this forum is supposed to be funny i guess and when i saw you insulting that guy for his opinion i just wanted to say him to not worry because of you :) and about using incorrect words: i am not trying to excuse myself, when i know a word in my language and not english i must use stupid translators on the internet. i know that causes some weird sentences which may not make sense but i am pretty sure person i was talking to understood what i wanted to say. and of course, i wasnt talking to you.
I actually do (german, english, french and currently working on my japanese), I did not insult you neither did I insult Goustifruit, if you felt that way I'm sorry. If you stop imagining an intonation as you read my lines and read them in a neutral manner you see that they're just stating the problems I had with these statements in a matter of fact fashion.
There is no malice nor contempt hidden in them.
Also don't think I called you out because of inability or sth. like that. There is nothing wrong with using tools to help yourself to be understandable.
I called you out because you defended someone who I corrected with a false explanation.
I mean you said I was paraphrasing, which I wasn't. I was clearly stating the difference in meaning between what he was assuming to be right and what was actually right.
If I only had paraphrased the sentence the meaning wouldn't change.
@ponx:
I'm not sure I understand which part of him is a scaredy-cat/coward/what-have-you. All I see is someone screaming "I'm scared!", but still went for the ride.
It's because he displays physical symptoms of fear, crying, shivering, not being entirely in control of his body.
That said, they're mostly displayed for comedy relief.
But they're also meant to portrait him as a character that is fearful but doesn't let it control him when it counts which is
a kind of appealing character trait I guess.
