So, the little guy is from Raven Tail, but they are third place in the tournament, leaving the douches from Sabertooth and the mysterious ''evil'' guild (Maybe Tartarus) in the top 2.

About Cerberus, yeah, his master appeared from the very start of the manga (like hell im forgetting someone with such a cool hat that even has a choker to match). I don´t mind nor dislike the design of his members.
Raven Tail. Yeah, that armored dude has to be either Laxus or Gajeel. I also wonder why the raijin tribe wasn´t on the crowd, that, besides the fur cape, makes me think it might be laxus. I also like the design of the tall masked one with the black pet, and the sleep deprived gurl
From the female guild i liked that Mashima actually covered their bodies with clothes (at least half of them), and that there is a fat gurl :)
From Lamia, those guys are starting to annoy me.. I had no problems with Lyon till he met Lluvia… The only think makes me glad is that the girl is not the same annoying bitch as always, but her sister...
I dont really mind to wait to see the new guild, since it´s prolly tartaros or another guild that will be irrelevant after this arc finishes with the plotkai bullshit Mashima will pull.

Why wouldn't it? It's been shown to be more like a magic stamp than a permanent brand, as I think Gajeel, Juvia, and Wendy having their's changed to Fairy Tail's should demonstrate adequately.
Unless the story brings attention to it, I don't think it's something that we need to get worked up over.

And we officially hit the Chinese new year and the year of the dragon. What's up all, welcome to another installment of Fairy Tail reviews. Let's go! Chapter 267: New Guild
Skinny: Wendy and Charla are found but revealed to have been attacked. Elfman officially takes her spot on the team and the opening ceremony of the Grand Magic Games begins. Blue Pegasus and Lamia Scale are revealed to have made the final eight along some unseen guilds such as Quatro Cerberus (Goldmine's guild if you remember) and Mermaid Heel, the all female guild (whistles). However the Dark Guild, Raven Tail also makes it, revealing they were responsible for Wendy's state. As you can imagine this kick starts the grudge between two. Two more guilds are said to have made it, one obviously is Sabertooth but whose this new guild?
My Thought: Seriously why do I even bother hoping for suspense with Mashima? No sooner then he introduces it, he takes it back come the next chapter. But I guess Wendy being out of the fight is better then nothing. Least it gives the group some motivation in the games. Otherwise, this was a "meh" chapter. Really nothing much happens, the guilds are introduced as is our villains (for the time being anyway). They make the mistake of pissing off Fairy Tail and setting up their rivalry. Ho-hum.
Best I can comment on is the guilds. Quatro Cerberus look uninteresting, just a bunch of tough guys who will no doubt be taken out in the starters. Mermaid Heel, well they look cute and have some good designs. If they last longer into the quarter finals, I won't mind. Trimans looked as boring as always though not sure what to think of the Trimens' new member in the bunny suit (odd for odd sake I guess). Was surprised to see that Sherry didn't join in with her team, even more so that she had a sister. I'm guessing Shelia the "Wendy" of their bunch but I'm looking forward to seeing what she does. And we get a better look at the Raven Tail guild, indeed looks like an intimidating bunch. Hate to be the guild that gets saddled with them at the start (though if its Fairy Tail that would be an interesting matchup to say the least. I'm thinking Sabertooth is suppose to be the main challenge.)
Overall it was okay chapter, nothing really happened but then again nothing too negative I can think of outside of Wendy just being attacked. Hopefully next week will be more eventful.

Well, it was somewhat elaborated in the battle against Hades. The chapter where Laxus saves the day is called "The unbranded man", and as far as I remember, it ends with Laxus passing the duty to Natsu, because a guy without Fairy Tail's mark couldn't be bothered with defeating a former master of Fairy Tail.

I know people are already calling that Gajeel is the man with the armor of Raven Tail, but would be atlest interesting if Mavis could tell who can see her or not. Gajeel has Fairy Tail's crest, so he can see her. Then Mavis would be like "hey, that guy can see me" just to put some tension to this silly manga. Again, this is FT.

I only expect Raven Tail to be more powerful than Grimoire Heart when the time against FT come. It's lame to see a guy like Ivan, who craves to surpass FT and had a 7-year timeskip to prepare his guild, to be fodderized along with his buddies to FT, being a warm up against the douches from Sabertooth and possibly Tartarus (Only possibily).

You know, being manga there's a chance that this is a boy and he's just feeling up his awesome chest scar. At least, this sits better with me because it looks like Goku's other hand is gearing up to punch someone. It's less abusive that way.

While I still don't fully understand how ''wood magic = explosion'', I thought the anime's take on the Erza vs. Azuma fight was pretty damn cool for the most part. It helps that Erza gets some of the most badass music in the series. I guess they wanted to make up for how awful her Edoras fight against herself looked.
The :O faces in the fire were rather lol-worthy, however.

Anyways, I like the idea that guilds can put in more than one group. It explains why there was such a ridiculous amount of teams competing, and it allows the other major FT members to compete as well! (also, it explains why Juvia wasn't in the crowd with everybody else last chapter)

God lord Mashima. You had the perfect chance and you blew it.
Anyway. The art has been pretty subpar over these recent weeks. Too many panels with the same composition and lack of backgound. So in all, it's pretty hard for me to enjoy any chapters.

The fact that Natsu and co have become stronger by pretty much taking steroids is still really annoying to me. Especially with the so called B team actually putting in hard work to improve. Ugh, whatever.

And for once my standing complaints about FT seem to have answered. Elfman's in the main group (even if they did promise to switch Wendy back in for the final. Sigh…..) and the people who actualy trained are there too, as well as Juvia.
But....I'm realy afraid team B is gonna get nerfed. :sad:

Most of Natsu's victories so far are obtained by random powerups, the last of which may have been explained recently, but then again, it all depends on if Hiro forgot or not. The thing I hate most about him as a main character is that he never realy progresses on his own, and the one time he tries to do that, Hiro forcebly imposes his powerup on him anyway.

And no, when Makarov himself says it was too much, and when Natsu gets to pass when he "learned a lesson" about losing when he has no chance in hell of winning, that was pretty despicable.
