I feel like Hinata is not as important anymore for the team. Like we didn't get to see him at all in this chapter or the one before or the one before THAT.
Is he rly not useful anymore even after they almost perfected their super quick or is this on purpose to get him to shine even more?
I mean in the beginning of the manga, he was like that most important player in the team, then people got used to him and now that he's trained so much, you'd think he'd get his spot to shine back but the new quick doesn't rly seem to be important for these hard sets against seiyou and most likely won't be important either for shiratorizawa. But I'm rly starting to doubt they'd actually be able to beat shiratorizawa if they're already having such a hard time against Aoba and we know that Shiratorizawa always beat Seiyou with a big point difference in 2 sets.
Like I get that other players need screentime, too, but it feels like seiyou always has another trump card up their sleeves on top of them already feeling stronger than Karasuno. It just.. doesn't rly feel justified anymore to let karasuno win at that point? Am I overthinking things…?
Also I'm kinda disappointed with Kageyama. He also gets no time to shine anymore and it's made clear that he isn't as good as smug face. He KNOWS his mistakes, doesn't he? He knows he needs to bring out those 100% out of everyone but it doesn't feel like he's actually trying to achieve that. The only time I ever had the feeling of him trying was after he was switched out from the second seiyou game. I mean, basically everything he did during training camp was working on this new toss for hinata. But during all those practicegames he could have worked on his tosses to the others with the others together.
Dunno, just kinda disappointed in general but I guess Kageyama is only allowed to beat smug face when he's in his second or third year himself (but smugface will be in college then? :/)
About Hinata, Seijou already has a good countermeasure to his attacks. Is similar to the one used by Nekoma in the first game they had, but even better. Hinata still make some points, but not that significant has before. If you notice during the game, you can see points that he makes, and points that he tries to make but Seijou is able to defend.
About beating Shiratorizawa. It seems impossible, they will need a really big luck to be able to win that game. As it was foreshadowed, Tsukishima shining will be the factor that will enable the team to even think about winning.
If you notice, since the beginning of the spring tournament Tsukishima is more involved in the games and making a lot more effort than before.
Seijou did changed significantly is way to play and improved in their best weapons since the last time, but you can see they did that with the intention of being able to win against Shiratorizawa.
About overall players quality, Seijou is a little better than Karasuno. But that is mainly do to the versatility of seijou players. But Karasuno while not that versatile, has really good players and good team play that totally makes up for that extra flexibility of Seijou, just like Shiratorizawa quality players more than make up for it.
Kageyama isn't better than Oikawa, but in terms of attack attributes. In terms of making people playing and making for 100% of each player, he is doing his job well, that part isn't just being focused much. Mainly that is because Karasuno is making in the majority of time simple attack patterns, just simple direct sets. Given the quality of Asahi and Tanaka, and the intelligence of Tsukishima, that is enough. Sometimes is better to stay with the simple instead of complicate. Just like in Shiratorizawa case(In real life is the same thing. Effective and simple is preferred).
Also with Oikawa serves Karasuno doesnt have time to do a complex attack, like synchronized attack.
Also the Karasuno decoy has been pretty well defended, so we're not seeing karasuno most interesting plays: superquick, decoy to wing spiker, decoy to back attack. Funny thing is that is what Seijou is using right now with the Mad Dog.
I don't know if we will see in this game the plays centered in the decoy Hinata, given that Seijou is accustomed with him.
Remember this is not about Kageyama vs Oikawa, but Karasuno vs Aoba Josai!
