One Piece Film Z (Wrap Canon From the Manga Not Yet in the Anime with Spoiler Tags)

^Nothing says they have to wear the same stuff throughout the movie.
-
i think she is not a villain maybe she is this stories main guest protagonist…..
I somehow imagine Aokiji would take that role.
-
She's purple haired according to the pictures we got.
If I remember right. She is definitely not blonde though.
EDIT: here's Redon's post with all the colors
http://apforums.net/showthread.php?t=34340&page=26&p=2634618&viewfull=1#post2634618Ef. Ok, uncalling it! I uncall it! Well, I still think shes a black leg user, but im pretty darn sure thats already been stated.
-
How about Straw Hats teaming up on them?So called "Monster Trio" takes on Z,girls double-team Ain and the rest oppose the ninja guy.
That would be good. Definitely more original than "that guy has a sword on his back so he's automatically Zoro's opponent lol". So if Zoro were in Marineford he would have to fight like 90% of the people there.
Movie 3 avoided obvious match ups and the fights were great, at least. -
Calling it now. Ain is Zeff's daughter and a master of the Black Leg Style. Yes, very groundless. Only the possibly blonde hair, the leg scar, and zoros probable match up against the other guy. So. Yeah.
oh, you silly! everybody knows that Oda has a master fetiche with Nami, so he'll try to pair chicks with her as much as possible (I mean, the guy even married one).
alors…yep, no screen time for Robin AGAIN. that's why he doesn't care that she is dressing like a whore.

I would like this. It would actually make more sense, if you think about the level of opponents we're dealing with.
-
My only suggestion is that you add a "Z" behind the SHs.
This worked out better than I expected:
LINK I also swapped out the background to one that actually matches (though my personal version is still green ) and cropped the characters more thoroughly to get rid of any stray pixels from the original backgrounds. Thank you (and Baroness) for the feedback…
And here's the version for Z's group:

The same thing could have been said about Shiki.

The same thing could have been said about Shiki.
Well, that didn't make any damn sense. A rival to Roger was taken out by some rookie? Wut?
-
What the fuck is Robin wearing?

@Zach:
What the fuck is Robin wearing?
2/3 of her outfit?

Your current avatar fits your reaction perfectly.

The main reasons Shiki lost was because
1. It's a movie. You know from the get-go that the Straw Hats are going to win.
2. PIS (Plot Induced Stupidity)

2. PIS (Plot Induced Stupidity)
Piccolo's comment on Shiki's defeat:"Why didn't you DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODGE?!"

I kinda was waiting for this exact comment from you xP

Z looks fucking idiotic. Purple hair and some ass-ugly shades?
If we're lucky it's shown he's just being controlled by a real mastermind villain…
Edit. Also, I'm not trying to defend Robins outfit, but doesn't Franky wear one exactly the same?

What's the problem with purple hair and pointy shades?
And Franky is a guy (yeah, I know, double standards) and, not to mention, a pervert, so he shouldn't care if he shows some extra skin. His outfit is still awkward, though.

Z has a badass,detailed robot arm.
Hence, all points against him are automatically invalidated.

Exactly :D
Beautifull !

Okay, I always hear people saying this, and my response is, "Didn't you guys read/watch One Piece Strong World Chapter 0?" - If you did, you would have noticed that Shiki was a rival to to Gol D. Roger like Buggy is a rival to Shanks. Don't get me wrong, Shiki was powerful, but you could tell that the brunt of his power came from his huge armada backing him up. Roger didn't even have to fight him, and after his armada was wiped out, Shiki wasn't even that great. Powerful, yes, but not exactly great. His only other accomplishment was escaping Impel Down, and even that was based on a technicality: he could fly, and Impel Down wasn't exactly the maximum security criminal lock down it is by the time Luffy goes there. Then, you add 20 years on top of that, and after figuring out his power, being fueled with rage, and fighting to save his nakama, it's understandable that Luffy won. Shiki was too old, and too overconfident in his above average powers. Shiki didn't even develop haki or anything. Luffy won within reasonable means, and still needed a little bit of help to defeat Shiki.- It makes sense.
-

Somehow,it sure as hell never took the involvement of Garp and Sengoku, probably two of the greatest Marines in history,to stop Buggy's rampage.

Coby and Helmeppo will beat him in the near future. Don't worry.
-
Coby and Helmeppo will beat him in the near future. Don't worry.
But they won't keep him busted for long, because, unlike a certain ship-wheel-for-brains,the magnificent Buggy can always escape Impel Down…with both of his legs intact!
-
We can fan wank as much as we want, but it doesn't change that at the end of the day, Shiki was defeated because he went deer-in-the-headlights and let himself get hit by an attack he should've easily been able to dodge, and not through old age/rustiness/etc.
-
Seriously though,Shiki lost because he was overcome with a severe case of villain stupidity at the worst possible moment.
-
Yeah, it's best demonstrated when he knocked Luffy out of the water sphere instead instead of just letting him drown.
-
Probably has to do something with him having that ship wheel in his embedded into his brains.:ninja:
I honestly hope that Z won't go down through villain stupidity.
-
I am so looking forward to this movie, and I'm pretty sure it's going to deliver. Here's to hoping that they release an artbooks for it like they did with Strong World but I'm positive they won't since this doesn't have as many creatures and Oda wasn't involved to the same degree.
-

I'm not sure it is totally robotic - if you notice his arm is kind of inside it. I'm thinking he is sort of holding it with that arm manipulating it but still has his arm whole.
-
@Sonic:
Edit. Also, I'm not trying to defend Robins outfit, but doesn't Franky wear one exactly the same?
The difference here being that Franky is a bit less… uh... classy? Mature? Sane? In any case, it's perfectly in-character for Franky to go waltzing around in his underwear. Robin... not so much.
-
@Zach:
What the fuck is Robin wearing?
If we can call that an outfit (at this point I'm not even sure it can even be called clothes), she's wearing something she stole from the nearest porn shop.
The question you should be asking is why the fuck is Robin wearing that, Oda? Lol, I mean I'm not bothered by it, but why?
Then again, if you were to show One Piece to a friend, this movie may give off the wrong impression of Robin's character. Nami's always been a slut, but Robin never was in my eyes.
-
So we've dwelled back into talking about Robin's outfit again, eh?
-
I guess people can't take it that shes a whore now lol
-
Robin always been a slut. Her outfits in Alabasta, EL and post-TS confirm this.
-
Does that make Robin a classy slut? :ninja:
-

Alright then,he has a badass,detailed,oversized robot glove.
-

she was a classy slut now she's just one of those daytime hookers you see in a bummy neighbourhood.
-
Ahaha you guys are hilarious. "Robin's wearing a daring outfit so she's totally a slut/whore/random hooker blablabla"
Talk about unjustified bitching
-
still a hooker
-

So it's ok for Nami to have wardrobe that seem to disappear more and more with each new arc?
-
Edit. Also, I'm not trying to defend Robins outfit, but doesn't Franky wear one exactly the same?
So if Robin's outfit makes her look like a hooker or a slut and Franky dresses exactly the same…does that mean that Franky looks like a slut?:ninja:
-
You've been reading One Piece for nearly 700 chapters and now you start to randomly complain about sexy outfits? ffs it's the New World we're in and it's obviously got a darker and more mature undertone as can be seen in the latest chapters. Therefore it's completely normal and understandable that Oda would choose to dress his girls more appropriately since- and this will most likely shock you- they're pirates.
But apparently I didn't get the memo that pirates should dress themselves nicely and tidily from now on…
-
More mature content = wearing sluttier clothes
shweet

Not sure if I get this part. What's dark or mature about Robin's new getup?
-
it's mature because it's only for people 18+
it's dark because…fuck I dunno but
ou la la
!
-
Talk about unjustified bitching
Not bitching. At least not me. I'm just kidding around.
But let's not kid ourselves. Walking around in panties makes you a slut. But hey, I still love Nami and Robin regardless, so who's really complaining on my end?
Besides, no one ever said pirates had to follow the rules of society anywhoo.
-
…and what are the rule os pirate society?Did pirates historically walk around with as little clothing as possible?
-
Lol you've missed the point. It's not really about being sexy or fanservice or whatever. It's that the design is just awful. If it were just about skin, then more people would knock on Nami's too. (Or like you've mentioned, their clothing choices each arc for that matter) But Robin's? Heck I'm not even a fashionable person but I can tell that her outfit is tacky and disjointed under the guise of sexiness. It's like a bunch of separate outfits collided in Robin's closet, leaving hear to choose the four or five salvageable pieces from the tattered wreck of clothing. Granted Oda's a comic author first and a fashion designer second, so it's not a crime worthy of punishment or anything. But that doesn't make her outfit any less ugly.
And T&A isn't automatically a sign of darkness or maturity. Plenty of seinen play this shit up and actually end up making their series even more childish. Also no, I don't hate fanservice.
-
…and what are the rule os pirate society?Did pirates historically walk around with as little clothing as possible?
The rules of pirate society dictate there are no rules and they can do whatever/wear whatever they want. Because who's going to stop them? The police? Call in the marines, sure, but they have bigger things to worry about when dealing with pirates.
