was worse is that video games werent ivolved with the shooting. AT ALL !!!! far as my knowledge
Even if they were that's not why you have incidents like this happening in the first place.
-
basically there using video games as a scapegoat. thats what i was getting at
-
I know you were my point was it's a myriad of reasons for why stuff like this happens violent video games especially those that haven't had a major release in 5 years aren't amongst those.

!
!is that a f**king shark? and a submarine? In GTA V? This may confirm passenger planes too
-
My body.. oh god. I need to do this game. Like quick.
-
Fucking sharks are the new zombies, except sharks are actually terrifying.
-
There's a shark. A freaking shark in GTA.
Please, take my money; all of it. But gimme that game asap.
-
A submarine, a shark, a plane that looks like an airliner and driving around with your dog…this is fucking nuts. I didn't expect any of these features to seriously make it into this game, expect maybe the airliner, we had these in San Andreas, but still.
There is also a blimp in the background of the second pic, which possibly could be even cooler than friggin' sharks and submarines, If they decided to make it usable. -
If we can ride a blimp with a pet shark in the passenger seat, I'm sold.
Do blimps have passenger seats? Two pilot seats? Just one seat? Shark can seat in my lap, I don't care. Or well… lay, don't think Sharks can sit.

Boxart to be revealed this month
-
did to see that coming at all wow
-
:( Guess I won't be playing it this summer then. Ah well. If they need the time, they need the time.
-
I'm fine with this, especially if it makes the game better.
-
Aww well I guess thats fine, will give me time to get my money together to get it on release day. Sides a polished game is better then a half-finished one.
-
I've seen some theorizing that they delayed it for next gen consoles but we'll have to wait and see. I've got plenty of games to play in the mean time anyway.
-
The next consoles won't be released until late 2013-early 2014, so if that was the case, they could just go ahead and release now for current consoles and make a more high-tech version next year.
-
Well that's slightly annoying hopefully I still got some money left over by the time September rolls around.

-
Radio playists on GTA V will consist of music from GTA IV, episodes of Liberty City, San Andreas, and Vice City.
-
That says nothing of the sort. It says that the playlists from those games are now available for puchase from mp3 vendors.
-
Ahh ur right sorry bout that. Disregard then.

A few new tidbits about GTA V. Nothing big really.
_Summary From GTAV.net
- You can buy property; houses, garages and businesses can all be purchased for extra revenue sources.
- You can customise yourself with haircuts, new clothes, and tattoos
- Each character is rated in a series of skill categories: Stamina, Shooting, Strength, Stealth, Flying, Driving, Mechanic, Lung Capacity.
- Each character has a 'Special': Franklin is an adrenalin junkie and can slow down time while driving; Trevor has a frenzy mode, where he does double damage, takes half damage, and has a unique melee attack; Michael has his own version of bullet time
- Specials are governed by a meter, it drains after use and recharges slowly
- Other skill categories are shared and can be improved by completing missions, side missions, activities and more
- Trevor will always be the best pilot, Franklin will always be the best driver but each can improve their proficiency a little
- One of the skill categories is stealth, suggesting players will be able to take different approaches to missions
- Pay N Sprays can also mod cars with paint jobs, new wheels, window tints, grilles, spoilers. Upgrades to suspension, engine and brakes can also be made.
- Weapons can also be customised with laser sights, scopes, silencers, and high capacity magazines
- You can pick up hitchikers, do stunt jumps and flying challenges, take part in yoga, golf, tennis or bike races.
- Some boats will include gear such as wetsuit, flippers and tanks for diving
- An underwater ecosystem exits, "the sea is teaming with fish and sharks"
- Treasures can be found underwater, but NPCs will be looking for them too
- GTAV rewards exploration, there's no signposting underwater, so you'll have to find the treasure the hard way
- Dives won't offer massive payoffs, but will "help grease the wheels"
- The character selection wheel is split into four triangles: Franklin, Trevor, Michael, and your multiplayer character
- It seems there's a closer relationship between single and multiplayer. Simply pressing Down on the d-pad will drop the play in and out of MP.
- Rockstar has said it will reveal more on multiplayer in the future
- There are subtle differences in the way each character moves to reflect their personalities; Michael is slower and deliberate.
- Rockstar says there will be five times as many pedestrians in GTA V as there were in Grand Theft Auto IV
- There's a "crazy level of detail": Tourist buses can be boarded for a tour of celebrity homes, film posters are plastered on the walls, men in comedy costumes try to corner you outside the Cathay Theatre, including the Superman-like Impotent Rage and Master Chief riff, Space Ranger.
- iFruit, the game's new phone, can be used to snap pictures and upload them to Rockstar's Social Club
- The phone also has apps. In addition to the camera there is internet, contacts, social media, a calendar, and a replay missions app. There are three more Rockstar hasn't yet revealed.
- Michael's obsession with classic films translates into in-game set pieces based on real world movies. In the demo the three characters mount a heist very similar to the one from Heat.
- 'Mini heists' are used to teach the player about preparation. Players must secure vehicles, outfits, masks, the getaway vehicle.
- These build up to a bigger heist where the execution must be flawless. They'll require the right crew and players will have to decide on the cheap option, which results in less skilled people, or paying more for skilled crew members that will take a larger cut.
- You can switch between Franklin, Trevor and Michael during a cutscene, manually, or automatically when the AI takes control for you
- Each character has a job to do, how much you switch yourself in or let the computer do, is entirely up to you
- If you die the game reloads to the last checkpoint, even if two other characters are alive
- Although it's up to the player when they switch, dialogue will suggest ideal moments. For example, when Michael and Franklin are being overwhelmed by snipers, Michael might ask for Trevor's help.
- A combat roll has been introduced for moving between cover
- There is a wider field of vision, and players can run-and-gun
- A deer and a wildcat was spotted in the mountains._ More detailed info and screenshots around the web if anyone wants to post it or look for it.

Man, this sounds amazing; it's everything I wanted after the dullness of IV and more.
Hopefully those wildcats in the mountains won't be as annoying as RDR's cougars, though…
-
This is really sounding more and more like a real GTA game.
-
Cannot wait. Looks so amazing.
I'm glad they don't put these out once a year… this is shit to look forward to!
Love me my Rockstar. GTA hype is the best kind of hype!

YES! They brought back car customization that is one of my favorite parts of GTA San Andreas
-
The more I find out about this game, the more I want it. They claim the amount and level of vehicle modding will be on par with what Midnight Club LA offered (which seems crazy, but awesome), and they brought in the Max Payne 3 team in order to tweak gun combat. So hopefully the free aim style option will be better. And all the preparation for the major heists include a lot of options, such as whether to barge in through the front door or enter from the sewers with stealth. So the same set of missions can be replayed in a totally different way. And I'm so happy that buying businesses and other properties is back. And the fact that the businesses have perks (like owning a taxi business providing you free taxi rides) is a nice bonus too, but even then, it only applies to the one character that owns it, which I like.
I can't help but wonder if the game will also let you modify boats and aircraft. I sure hope so. And it sounds like gun modifications aren't linear, so players will likely want to optimize different guns for different situations. Rockstar wasn't lying about providing a ton of stuff to spend money on it seems. I'm grateful for that, because I never did wind up buying every single thing in San Andreas, while money quickly became a total joke in GTA IV. I'm also really curious about the golfing. That and tennis sound a lot more fun than the darts and stuff we got in IV.
I really need to stop reading the updates for this game, because each one seems to make the wait more daunting. My hype level is pretty through the roof already. Still four months and some change left. D:
-

Please let them use the Rockstar Table Tennis play as a model for how regular tennis works in GTAV.
-
1. You can pick up hitchikers, do stunt jumps and flying challenges, take part in yoga, golf, tennis or bike races. lol I can think of a million things I culd do to scare the sh** out of a hitchhiker I pick up I think this could be a fun aspect.
-
Wow, hitchhikers… lol
Some things never get old
-
Hmmm, a lot of those things they said no to at first. Like Car Modding and Property Buying. I wonder what else they have then. I mean, I just feel like, there is something more than just Los Santos out there. I mean, don't get me wrong. I am completely satisfied with just LS with this huge environment and tons of smaller settlements. But, with every new trailer, I get more and more skeptical that that is just true. Firstly there are highways that head North and East in this game (Go check other forums about it). I mean, where do those highways go? It would be weird on Rockstar's part just to make massive transport loop in a circle around the map. Coupled with the fact that basically every picture we've had or preview described, we are almost facing the same direction, that is towards Los Santos and the west coast. We never see what lies beyond those initial set of mountains. All other photos conveniently have mountains obscuring the view of whats behind it, we always see the same direction.
Actually, I remember when GTA 4 was on the verge of releasing. Nobody knew about Alderney until the end. It wasn't even confirmed that there was something more than Liberty City, yet there was. I know they denied the inclusion to extra cities but think about this: If there is all this sprawling, massively explorable land along with 1-3 more cities, this game would be more than perfect. Having an actual goal to using aircraft would be amazing then just flying out into the country. The feeling of driving somewhere and actually having an important destination would feel exhilarating. Coupled with the fact that there is wildlife and more in the middle just adds to the beauty. At least if San Fierro, Las Venturas, or San Diego (Or its rockstar name variant) would make an appearance, I would go crazy. All 3 are much smaller than Los Santos to begin with.
In much shorter words: I believe that it is very Rockstar to hide one or two (possibly 3) smaller cities without the knowledge of its consumers until the end, to hype the game in massive overload.
EDIT: Hmm it seems that Alderney was known much earlier, but my case still stands lol.
-
You know they could add in San Fierro and Las Venturas as DLC maybe?
-
Honestly I wouldn't mind that. The map is already big as it is. It just feels a little funny from what we've seen. We haven't really seen woodland or pure desert (Mostly shown was Mountainous, Salton sea region, and west coastal, even the farmland previewed has been rarely showcased) too much, which both are very reminiscent to San Fierro and Las Venturas environments.
