- 100+ support characters.
- Grey Terminal and Under the Sea stages.
- Available fall 2011 in Japan for Nintendo DS.

This is the first game to feature the time skip. This shouldn't be only on the DS.

@Masterking. It's been said so many times now. The reason this is out on the DS is probably because its A: Quicker to make (Gigant Battle base and coding etc.) B: DS is still most popular console.

Well, we can see that Luffy is in a bubble, so I guess he is just part of the stage, but we know for sure that he will be a support anyway.
For the roster, I think we will have both the pre Time Skip and poster Time Skip Mugiwaras, as well as the characters of the first game. Maybe adding pre-Time Skip Robin, Franky and Brook. That already takes 32 spots. I'll add Fisher Tiger, Cariboo, Hodi Jones, Van Decken (even if its power is a better fit for a support character), Enel, Lucci, Arlong and Moriah, that makes 40 characters.
I see Usopp in the background of the scan, I hope he's not just a support for this game

Yet another portable OP game and not a full-fledged console title for the HD systems that it deserves, can't say I really care. Sprites look nice, at least.

I'm glad its on the DS, because now i will be able to play it. The 3DS is region locked. i know i'm going to be pissed in the future when a OP game does come onto the 3DS. OP:UC:SP is just a rehash of a game(s) i have already played. I doubt this one will make i to Europe. It took about a year for it to come over, and i doubt that the DS will be relevant in the year 2012, at the end of the year too.

I've been thinking about importing the first game for a while, but now I decided not to.
I'm totally importing this one. I hope all Straw Hat Pirates are playable. With 40+ playable characters, the roster already sounds quite promising compared to the first game's 20 character roster.
Just a little reminder, back when Jump Ultimate Stars came out, gear 3rd was only out for 3 months (about 10 chapters), and it was in the game. so I suppose we can count on the next 2-3 months to be in the game. and since it's gonna get to the action really soon, I'd say we have a high chance to get a lot of new moves.
Brook was in that other DS one too and I dont think he even was in the anime by that point.

Lucci should certainly be in. Kaku I'm gonna guess no. I still don't get why people want him so much. He was a minor char from an arc that ended 5 years ago. He hasn't appeared in the main story since. Adding him over recurring minor chars? If Kaku is in then they need to make Hannybal, Absalom and Ohm playable too.
Personally I'm not holding my breath for anything in this game. I don't want to be burned like I was with the first one by expecting things to be in.

They're going to more than double the orginal roster so that sounds pretty good. Question is, will they just have the Current Straw Hats or will they also have the ones before the two years?

IIRC we had information more or less every week till release after the first screenshots. I just hope they are a bit more clearer with what we are and are not getting this time.
I'm personally gonna be very surprised if we don't see the classic SHs in there too. And I hate to feel this way but I wouldn't be surprised if 18 of the 40 chars would be going to the SHs new and old forms as playable.

True the thing about timeskip outfits. Probably is just like Shanks, Ace and Luffy, you can change their outfits. But the things I want to see in this game is if Sabo is playable or Support and if we can play as pre Time Skip Straw Hats.

Sabo is an odd choice. I mean. If he is in the game there's no reason to not put Hiruluk, Saulo, Bellemere, Yorki, Zeff and the other flashback chars in too.
Personally I woudln't waste a slot of him being playable. Not when there are tons of better options for chars. Support is fine (as long as they do some of the awesome flashback chars too.)
Those sprites make me wanna say Brook is also playable. Still not sure about Franky and Usopp. Again they're poses so.

That pose of Hannyabal appears if you play as Hancock or Nami, in other words, as a female playable character.
I think he used it if you used a specific character. I think it might have been hancock. Also i think the usopp one makes him seem more likely to be playable but the franky one i'm not sure still.
I hope that we do see other characters in time-skip form. I know Keimi doesn't look it but maybe you can get both. there wasn't much change between hancock or hatchan however i wanna see perona in time-skip form and possibly Jinbei (i know he didn't change much either)
As far as flashback characters go i think Sabo, dadan and Fisher Tiger have the biggest chances. Sure you could have tom or Hiruluk but these three are the most recent and seem to have had a big effect (not that the others havn't but in most recent terms)

lol if you put your cursor over the sprite of luffy on the left he does an animation. Curiously on my it comes up on my screen saying luffy (the pictures name) however the 3 sterring wheels when hovered over come up as zoro, ??? and brook
