At the very least, Lucci, Eneru, Moria, Shanks, Smoker, and Bon Clay seem like definite additions.

Perona and Law are kinda difficult to implement in a fighting game. If they can work it out, that's fine for me. I like them.

Daz Bones is perfect, but he only appeared in a Wonderswan game. I don't know why developers don't use him more, they have a complete moveset that's awesome.

Also, Wiper. For fuck's sake, he didn't even appear as a support in Gigant Battle! WIPER!

He should be playable, and add someone like Braham as a support.

It would be cool if Oda was a playable character. One Piece really does need a gag fighter, maybe Pandaman.

In all seriousness, I kept refreshing the official webpage and pressing [fn] + [prt sc] until I perfectly captured this running sprite of Usopp from the official site. This was difficult because the sprite rocks left to right and looked ugly when my timing was wrong. XD I did it 'cause I felt like it. <.<

Well, since one of the stages is an underwater stage and the Kraken is clearly in view, I'd think that there will be several of the enemies that we've seen so far that will make it. Hodi is obvious….but a good question is will it be normal Hodi or Hodi after he's taken the steroids? Or will there be two seperate Hodis? I'm sure Vander Decken will also be playable as well as Hyouzou. Not so sure about the rest of the New Fishman Pirates. Then there's the question on whether they'll add the Princes and/or Neptune. Caribou might have a good shot as well.

I'm also curious on if they added any new game mechanics and features.

Hodi'll be done like Chopper I think. Just changes form as part of the attacks

I think it will be white hodi even though we have yet to see him fight. I think we'll definatley get Vander decken and possibly caribou if he fights. Also if they do get a new crewmate i.e. shirahoshi we'll get her

It fits his schemer´s nature: weak HP and attack power, but great with items and support characters. His third special is serious killing stuff

I also didn't like Kuma, i thought he was weak too, and they should change Ivankov special too. IIRC she/he gives a stat boost on the opponents which is dumb.

Chopper's moveset wasn't that bad. You could take down chars like the admirals just by standing still. It was stupidly hilarious. A bad example for movesets is Usopp, Kizaru, Buggy and Jinbe

And yes. I'm expecting full proper stages for everyone this time. Not like last where 2 or 3 arcs were merged into one.

I have a feeling we will probably get that again. Maybe not as much like thriller bark and enies lobby being seperate stages but the east blue will probably be 1 level again.
I found the best 4 characters in the game to be luffy, ace, crocodile and Akainu. Chopper was weak but you could almost never hit him which is like complete opposite for magellan

I felt great with Sanji and Zoro. Extremely bad with Nami and Usopp (obviously)

Looking back they made quite a few gameplay improvements from Jump Superstars to Jump Ultimate Stars in a short amount of time. I really hope they make the gameplay a lot smoother in this game. They really should make it more similar to JUS in some respects. Two attack buttons and specials that are easier / better to execute would fix a lot of this game's problems. I really don't like the big flashy appearance of character artwork on the screen when they do a special mostly because it seems to slow things down. Also, there's no need to send the camera to whatever player was just KO'd. It disrupts the flow of the game. It may work in a one on one fighting game, but there's a reason that these things aren't used for games like JUS or SSB.

nice to hear that it is for the ds and not the 3ds, so we can import it. also 40 characters and 100 supports?! damn, i can't even think of that many characters deserving of a spot, but hell yeah! also I noticed a change to the screen interface. It seems that they got rid of the character picture and name and changed the special bar flames into wheels with fists. of course, these are early pics, so nothing is certain. I hope they change the gameplay and add another attack button and map guarding to down or back

Yes, because the sprites of playable character and the logo of the game are with time skip looking. And I think it will be a custom opening only for the game, like the first Giant Battle.

I've been playing the first game quite a bit recently and something I'd really like to see is another attack button. Sometimes releasing certain attacks like ^ > B feels awkward. Grand Battle, which is the best control set imo, had this and it felt really natural. The first game was pretty good, but hopefully this will be a lot better. I'm using an emulator for it now but if it had online play for the sequel I would buy it.

I honestly hope the Story Mode will be a little better. I loved doing missions, don't get me wrong, but I hope they actually add the REAL story. Like we actually get to play through the story of One Piece.

Its kinda hard to do. Cus with so many chars. For example they're not gonna add the likes of Gin, Jango, Cabaji, Mohji, Hogback, Kumadori as playable chars. Which means you're limited to just using Luffy and maybe Zoro. Which is boring.

I enjoyed the format they used last time. I just wish they expanded some more. For example Arabasta if they added Bon could have Sanji vs Bon. Croc (with Mr. 1) vs Zoro etc. There are enough of the Arabasta chars in the game for an island of canon fights.

If they have to copy from other characters, they shouldn't even be in the game. But no, I don't think they'd copy any attacks. They didn't do that for the last game and they have enough characters to make their complete movesets without copying other characters.

They actually did this in 4-player free for all game? That sounds dreadful. Also J!US's mechanics were pretty bad, it rewarded turtling by not allowing players to combo after their guard break. Also, there was no way to recover from heavy block stun, making that guy who shot Tigers ridiculous on one platform stages.

I'd imagine that a lot of the mugiwara's moves from the first game will be present in 2.

Too bad that I broke my DS in two pieces while playing Rayman DS.. I love Rayman but they really messed up with that game.
But it still works, guess some glue will do miracles here. Hope they'll bring this game out in Europe too, but I doubt it.

Would be interesting to see her. Wiper should be one too (was he one in the first? Can't remember) Also hoping to see Jango, (Hypnotises opponent for a few moments.) Hina, (Freezes opponent) Vista, Shirahoshi, Caribou/Coribou, Chuu, Kureha, Mr. 5 + Valentine, 4 + Christmas + Lasoo, Miss Goldenweek, Wiper, Konis, Kalifa, Gin, Van Augur, Neptune, Other Fishmen chars. Maybe Sabo although if they use him Fisher Tiger, Bellemere, Olvia, Hiruluk, Tom, Calgera etc should be in.
