I was thinking about the blue prints of the ancient weapow and where did Franky hide then, and I guess it's inside his cyborg body! where else could it be safer?? I don't remember reading it's location.
Are the blue prints "within" Franky?
-
-
It might be, but considering the careless way he handles himself, it would seem unwise.
-
I wonder where also.. Maybe he ate it hahahaahahahahaahahahaahahaha
-
The best way to preserve information is broad disemmenation. Perhaps they all have a copy, or a redundant division of it (divide the blueprints into 10 pieces, give everyone copies of five at random, so nobody can assemble it alone, but they can't lose them all either)
-
Hmm, I'm not sure about that, as Iceburg-san already went to the trouble of creating fake blueprints which were supposed to have been stolen by CP-9. It seems Iceburg-san gave the complete original to Franky. Is Franky smart enough to divide up the blueprints to keep them safe? He didn't tell anyone what his background was - I doubt any of the Franky Family know and they would have to be the closest to him. If he can't trust them with his name, surely he can't trust them with the blueprints.
If he has hidden them, they have to be somewhere that he can lay his hands on them quickly without causing too much suspicion, should the need arise. Can't be Franky House as if someone discovered who he was, that would be the first place they would go. Not the warehouse as it was turned over by CP-9. I don't think he would have thought of giving someone else clues to its location in case Iceburg-san and he died. He seems to be confident enough in himself and his abilities to not take as many precautions as Iceburg-san did.
Perhaps he hid the blueprints in one of his Battle Franky's? (NB I wonder where they ended up?) Inside Puffing Tom?
-
 I recall when we didn't yet knew that Franky has the blueprints but Iceberg's are fake and I suggested the very same thing (although with a difference Franky wouldn't know about it). The response was pretty much like: "Yeah, right" ignore Yoska's queer ideas. So, yeah, I think in somewhat same lines.
Also, was it Cook Zeff who thought the blueprints' information could be hidden on to Franky's tattoos? Whoever it was, I loved the idea.
-
Ahh, see Yoska I only started thinking about it about an hour ago as opposed to manga chapters ago. What can I say - genius loves company :D
The old 'Mother' inside the heart shaped tattoo that hides the secret blueprints trick eh? Noice noice!
-
Hm, might be, but IMO, there's no way they could be there.. What if Franky gets beat and then search in his body? Too likely too happen.. means, too dangerous to put them within him.
-
I agree… it would be too dangerous to have the blueprints within him... but the problem remains, I can't think of where the originals might really be...
-
chopper: "where is the island of sniping?"
sogeking: "it's… in... your... heart"
spandam: "where are the blueprints of pluton?"
franky: "it's... in... my... ass"
-
lol
but anyway, I think they're in a secret compartment on his body, always kinda assumed that too. It's a common "story spiel" to do this, because it saves time to go all the way to where they are hidden.

I agree here. If they are somewhere else then within Franky himself then they would have to leave Enies Lobby and to go to that place to get it which would transfer the climax to a different place.
@ igalsfy: Lol, the ironic thing is that if that would really be the case, Spandam wouldn´t get that Franky is telling the truth but he would probably interpret it as an insult.
-
They're going to have to go back anyway, so if Franky hid the plans elsewhere, it wouldn't be that big a deal. They have to go back to Water 7, and the Straw Hats need to pick up their new ship.
Franky had just spent that 200 million, and he did it somewhere other than Water 7. Perhaps he has some secret Franky cave somewhere, and that's where he's got the plans stashed.
-
I have no doubts that they will go back there. But I doubt that Spandam will go with Franky there to get the plans just because I think that the climax of this arc will involve the Gate of Justice. And since it is at Enies Lobby it wouldn´t make sense that Spandam takes Franky to Water 7 after the climax. Just my personal interpretation.
-
The blueprints are inside the Square Sisters hair, Franky put it their so no one could find it and that why their hair became square
Now seriously maybe Franky already memorized the blueprints and destroyed them, or he hid them in his nose
I heard someone say that the blueprints could be what Franky used to remodel is body (but this would make Franky a ancinet weapon, so this is probably wrong)
-

Besides he already had tremendous building skills when he was building his Battle Franky´s and he did that before he saw the blueprints for the first time. So there´s no need to link the blueprints to that.
-
(but this would make Franky a ancient weapon, so this is probably wrong)
lol, the best sentence of the day.
-
Damn. Can't find the old chat logs with Nate, but we were discussing this a long time ago. It's really be the perfect place to hide em, nowhere else would Franky be able to protect them as well as he could if they were inside him. And if that's true, well, just more fodder for the "why Franky is joining" discussion.
-
Did not Franky tell Robin that he has the plan? If he memorize the blueprints and destoryed it I wonder how Spandam would react? I bet in the next chapter Spandam will force him to tell him by slashing him.
-
I don't think Franky destroyed it, because if he did, Tom and Iceburg's efforts would be for nothing. I agree with Carly's post, putting it on his body is the surest way for him to protect it. But I believe it's not permanently attached, so that in an emergency he can still pass it on to someone.
There's still also the question of what he did with the 200 million beri.
-
The blueprints aren't small. If, and this is a big "if", Franky has them on him, the only place I can see them being stashed is his forearms, and I don't believe that's where they are. Not after seeing him make a shield out of one of them.
-
Maybe the blueprints can be inside Franky's frige, just remove the frige's back and it will reveal the blueprints hidden there
-
How ironic - you could get a cold beer and be able to destroy the world in one trip.
-
Though that's not likely to happen unless there is no beer.
-

This is what I always assumed.
The best way to keep track of the blueprints at all times is to keep them "on" you at all times,a dn since Franky's clothing is….revealing, "Inside" him seems to be the most logical place. and who would think of looking int he fridge in his gut anyway?
-
It's inside the speedo.
-
Maybe Franky gives Spandam a cryptic clue as to the whereabouts to the blueprints, something that has been mentioned before but requires some thought. Then somehow Spandam manages to escape and it makes him go crazy trying to find the prints, thus a cool title page story is born "the crazy adventures of Spandam and Hattori"
-
@Mog:
It's inside the speedo.
This and a couple others made me think of something basedon a movie I saw as a kid "Mom and Dad Save the World." And I wanna join in on the fun. So…
LUCCI: Where are the blueprints?
FRANKY: They're… in my pants.
LUCCI: You're not wearing pants.
FRANKY: They're at home. In my drawers.
KAKU: Does not one usually put pants on hangers?
FRANKY: Hell no! The hangers are for my speedoes. Treat them right and they'll treat you right. That' s my motto. -
Is Franky counted as a "genius" shipwright or something like that? If he is, than he could very well have memorized the blueprints.
The "joke" answers have me ROLLING. Utterly ROLLING.
-

Yeah but the point of the blueprints is that they are passed on from generations so if he would have memorized them and burnt the originals then he couldn´t pass them on anymore.
But then again I´m sure that he and Iceburg will burn them either way at the end of this arc because they realize that they´ve misjudged Nico Robins intentions. -

Example: I played in my high school marching band. I had to learn formations and music. But just because I memorized it so well that I could probably march in my sleep doesn't mean that I destroyed my charts or music.

I know that you´ve never said that, I just eleborated the idea into a destruction of the blueprints because it would fit together.
-

Uh, you saw them, right? Big fat roll of paper, sure to be covered with technical drawings, measurements, specifications….
No way he could memorize something like that.
-
I dunno, I think he's pretty resourceful….

Why not, only a super-genious could replace his extra-sensitive human organs with metal to keep him alive. I have no dought in my mind that he could if he wanted to.
