I really love the men's bath yogurt running gag, it's hilarious.
Silver Spoon by Arakawa Hiromu (Fullmetal Alchemist)

-
I love how Hachi's horse hat looks exactly like Chestnut.
-
I'm like Hachiken, I would name all my pigs too. Making it harder to send them away to the slaughter.
I could never be vegetarian, but sometimes I think about giving up red meat. Cows are just so precious.
-
Those interview questions escalated pretty damn fast… '~'
-
"So, I'll bet you think that only animals should breed and not people. Is this what you want? Genocide of the human race? If you're so committed to killing all humans, why not just start now? Here's a knife, slit my throat. What, you can't do it? Oh? So you don't really hate humans? Then do you even love animals?"
-
I didn't knew Ookawa had a Hakuba Persona.
Hi Hunter-Sensei.
-
What an ass of an interviewer. I don't remember any of my college interviews being like this.
-
I wonder how things are going on in Aikawa's side.

It is not supposed to be taken seriously

Go Nishi! Go! -
Oh completely forgot about this series. I thought it was cancelled.
-
No matter how infrequent this series is, that chapter made me laugh hard. That face the president makes is scarier than any homunculus.
-
The comedy in the chapter was excellent. Arakawa makes a great return. And those faces !!!
And with all that stress, Hachiken didn't had the time to ask Mikage about her interview… -
I'm not asking for much when I say I'd like to see this series reach its conclusion soon without any break interrupting its flow. It's a lovely manga which during the last year has suffered tremendously from a lack of content.
It makes me wonder if Arakawa would be willing to do another original story sometime in the future, what with family/private matters coming into play at this stage already; I wholeheartedly adore her works.

Since it is heading toward the end, I believe (and hope) she can end this series this time without any break (well, I think it may get like one week absents).

Are you talking new story for this one? Or Arakawa to work completely new series which written/drawn by her?
-
FINALLY!
Poor Nishi!
@Kaizou:
Are you talking new story for this one? Or Arakawa to work completely new series which written/drawn by her?
I think he's talking total Arakawa work.
-
@Kaizou:

I take it you're referring to the novel adaption she's publishing in that monthly magazine? I couldn't warm up to that one as it's not her work. In that sense, yes, I would love to see her do another Arakawa story in the future.
-

Well, in that's case, of course she will to her own series in future after her family matter is resolved. It isn't like she going to retire or anything.
-
Oh man, chapter 117 was excellent. I don't remember if Mikage had previously acknowledged that she likes Hachiken out loud, so that was a really nice moment. Also the ending had me laughing in tears. Ahhhh, I'm gonna miss this series so much once it's finished!

Why is everyone feeling like Bojack Horseman here?

Why is everyone feeling like Bojack Horseman here?
http://reader.sensescans.com/read/silver_spoon/en/0/118/page/1They're growing into adults and so their general optimism and hopes for the future are being destroyed by reality
-
"Please eat feces."
The whole chapter summed up in one sentence.
-
Two new chapters
http://bato.to/reader#1c276952eca893feAlso…finalllyyy YES! <3
-
These 2 chapters were indeed delicious. It’s amazing how she can combine hilarious gags and very touching moments

Hee hee! Poor Hachiken has to drag himself tooth and nail to get where he wants.

That's her brilliance.

Who could have expected Hachiken and Mikage to bonk before their first kiss.
Why I never. Kids these days just do not wait.

You have to pay dinner to a woman before you can bonk her.

So, just caught up with this (wonderful) series. Reading back through the thread and judging from the scanlation notes, seems like the sporadic nature of its release is understandably due to Arakawa's personal life, but is that also the reason the manga went into hyper-speed mode after the first year in the story?
-
Well, she also started doing that Arslan adaptation at the same time, so…
-
The feels of chapter 120 made me clutch my chest <3 And apparently my grin was so wide that my boyfriend had to ask whether I had just seen a very cute dog.

Last I heard she was doing Arslan and also involved with a family illness.
-
It's back.
http://readms.net/r/silver_spoon/121/4390/1 -
Man this really needs to conclude soon, I feel like it's been winding down towards a conclusion for 4 years now
-
Ever since the Four Seasons Arc began, I feel like we're always half a dozen chapters away from the ending. But then, hiatus strikes and it never does.
-
It is an incredible manga, one of the finest shounen i ever read.Pity that Arakawa abandoned it…..
-
FINALLY!
And to be fair Arakawa has both an ill relative, and another series going (Arslan Senki). So it's tough to keep up.
-
I can confirm that Vet Studies are indeed hard.
http://reader.sensescans.com/read/silver_spoon/en/0/122/page/1 -
Hahaha. Arakawa can draw the best expressions.
-
New chapter!
http://readms.net/r/silver_spoon/123/4434/1To be followed by yet another hiatus. Jesus fucking Christ.
-
On the bright side it ended with Yakuza Papa.
-
A wild Shinpachi appeared.
http://sensescans.com/reader/read/silver_spoon/en/0/124/page/1 -
I missed this a lot.
-
Headcanon for me, this series ended with the kiss. I'm fine with that. It was great.
But I'm waaaaay too out of the loop now to jump back in for new material. Might check in if she ever decides she's completely done.
-
lol. Ahh, I missed this.
It would be nice if she has an actual schedule for this in her head.
-
I hope it comes to an end this time. Releasing an average of a chapter a year is way too hard. I barely remember what's supposed to be happening…
-
Those teachers really like to make their students eat shit, huh?
https://jaiminisbox.com/reader/read/silver-spoon/en/0/125/page/1 -
I'm just glad every time there is no info at the end of the chapter saying the manga is going back to hiatus.
-
Hachiken's Dad chapter.
http://sensescans.com/reader/read/silver_spoon/en/0/126/page/1 -
I am a little scared that I loved that his enjoyment faces all came in front of the earth being bombarded with meteors and animals dying in the explosions. Also his kill face was priceless. I would also have called for the police at the end…
-
Just where is my boi, Nishi anyway?
