I want Red or Gary Oak, but eagerly waiting for Brock. Hopefully gym leaders get the love too.

Wow….so it's been a while since this thread had some love. We've got a few exhibitions coming up. It's doubtful we'll see a lot of new OP merch, but Miyazawa Model Exhibition Spring is this week. It should give us some cool new stuff from GSC, Alter, Medicos and others!
Then next month is Tamashii Feature and Megahobby Expo, so could be interesting!
-
Anyone already used animarket? do they undervalue? and most important are they legit?
-
This post is deleted!

Giving this thread some love with the addition of my 2nd ever Nendo: Saitama!!

Also the new JJBA Part.4 Nendo-esque MINISSIMO figures look good!!

Hi, everyone!
I got some non-One Piece figures back in November, and only just opened them this Saturday. Whoops.
I also got something else from the seller! She's AoKishin on MFC. She drew me a picture! I was waiting for her permission to post it online, otherwise I would have posted yesterday:
!
Here are the figures!
Nendoroid Petit Hachune Miku:
!
She comes with a leek!
!
I also got Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, and Kagamine Len from the second set of Nendoroid Petits:
!
They're all lovely!
I have one more non-One Piece figure to look at. If all goes well, I'll open it and post pics tomorrow. See you then!

I'm back!
As promised, here is my last non-One Piece figure!
I got into Mortal Kombat last year through the alternate timeline, and decided to buy a figure of a character that I like. As such, give it up for Ko'atal, better known as Kotal Kahn, who debuted in Mortal Kombat X!
He came to my home at the end of December, yet I'm only looking at him today. I suck.
The company that made him is Mezco Toyz, located in Long Island City, New York.
I ordered only one of him, yet for some reason, I was sent EIGHT of him, for the price of one! This is WAY too much solar-powered testosterone in the house!
!
This is Kotal out of his box:
!
This figure is six inches tall. It was made using the game files, so he's extremely game accurate. His eyes are painted a very bright blue. He has articulation in his neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, knees, and ankles, making him very poseable.
He comes with alternate hands, a knife (sadly, it's not game accurate), and a macuahuitl (a real life weapon that can decapitate horses! The toy one is actually rather pointy. I recommend keeping it away from children):
!
This is Kotal with his knife:

I really like this figure. If you're a Kotal Kahn fan, I definitely recommend getting him.
That's it for now! Hopefully, there'll be more figures of Mortal Kombat characters that I like in the future!

Holy crap how does a store send 8 by accident, non less enjoying your posts. Great pics.

I have no idea. Thank you!

Hi guys, I'm sorry I don't have pictures to share or anything, I just wanted to ask a question about figures.
I've been wanting to pre order a figure from Kotobukiya on Ebay.
Is it wise to spend $200 now? Or will the prices rise or drop as it reaches its eventual release?
The thing I'm concerned is that it might get sold out. Is that common? It's a figure of Red with pikachu if you are curious.

If it's this one, just pre order from AmiAmi. That's a steal. http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?scode=FIGURE-019883&rank=

Yep it's that one.
After I posted I saw a new listing on Ebay with great price so I pre ordered from them. Also read from other sources that the prices will only go up as it reaches the release date and rarely go down so I just bought it.
Thank you for the link!
Do they ship overseas worldwide? Might buy from them for other stuff. -
AmiAmi ships everywhere, and they are the best shop.
-
Just started collecting these model kits. Anyone else got the Yokai bug??
-
I'm gonna make a post in here and the One Piece Gold Movie thread.. anyways..Does anyone know the movie specific limited edition items that came out? So far I know about the watch, which was 43000 Jpy (405usd and bought)The link to the website for it can be found hereIt looks so cool. I bought the metal band (メタルバンド) one and so I will post it up when I get it which I believe is in November.Apparently you need to be a Japanese resident to buy it (don't believe me, I only got told by my Japanese friend) but I had a friend who paid for it already.https://iei.jp/50081224501/
-
so I forgot to put this up. Most of you who follow my stuff know I'm a HUGE Amagi Brilliant Park fan. It was so under-rated. So here is a Sento Isuzu figure that looks gorgeous.
-
This is going to be a very long shot. But anyone know where I can pre-order the Pirate Sento Isuzu figure from Max Factory? Saw it on ebay but can't find it on any online store :/
-
Hey all I recently got into the Dragonball WCF figures and was wondering what's the best place to get them?
-
Finally got me a Berserker Guts today!
-
My Figma Samus (Metrpid Prime 3 ver.) Arrived today. She is so gorgeous!
-
Glitter & Glamours Android 18 (normal version), I love this figure. The style, the pose, the ripped clothes, all of it. The fact that there are not many prize figures of her and this is by far the largest helps the love.
!

Got really into Lupin the 3rd as of late. The hype for the new season and finding these in my local anime shop had me giddy. So I thought I'd share them
-
Wow am I the only one who buys non One Piece stuff? :')
I picked up the Kakegurui Jabami Yumeko figure. She's got them crazy eyes <3
-
Guys, a friend got me from Japan a figure of Killer Queen, Super Action Statue, and I´m curious about a little detail: Both the figure and the sound effects have a support pole each, but the base has only one hole for the supports… So I can only put one at a time. The base itself can be detached in two parts, but only one of them has a hole.
Any idea what to do?Here´s the figure

https://myfigurecollection.net/item/54599Yeah, you are right, the figures only came with one hole. The pink Killer Queen was a Ver.2 limited repaint, so it came with the effect, but the other accessories (including the stand) were the same as the originals. Hence only one hole.
This is pretty common for Medicos. I was initially quite impressed with these figures, but overtime I realised the QC wasn't all that.
You can't see very well from these pictures, but I resorted to using the Stage ACT. 4 stands from Tamashii for my FX bubbles.
-
oooh I like the explosion sculptures!!
Fortunately, on this case, I can just hang the FX effect on KQ´s support, and it should be out of reach on its current place, which is a shelf above my computer :D

So, apparently I just started collecting nendoroids - by preordering 6 of them - and I don't know if I (read: my wallet) am happy about that. xD

Honestly Nendoroids have replaced One Piece as my go to for Figures. They're covering far too many series and giving us too much choice in characters. Let me know what you got!

Welcome to nendo paradise

Oh I've been buying Nendos for ages now. I just love that there's so many. Like here I even unboxed Yumeko XD

While I'm still looking forward to non-Fanservice POPs, I have to agree. Though I also find some choices kinda weird, like when side characters get picked before main ones.
I ordered Akko & Diana from Little Witch Academia, Simon & Kamina from Gurren Lagann, Link from Breath of the Wild and Jojo's Jotaro. And oops, Riza from FMA, Catwoman & Harley Quinn from Batman Ninja, Megumi from Souma and Joker from Persona 5 just joined them.
-
yeah Jojo's Jotaro is a str po for me. kinda regret that i din po Riza from FMA
-
Akko was one of the many ones that I was a little too late for (like Tanya the Evil) in that I got into the series JUST after the release and she was sold out everywhere. Thank god for re-releases
-
I dabbled in Nendo's for a bit when I was trying to find a new line after Megahouse slowed down. I got 4/5, but wasn't overly impressed by the generic template for each character. Kinda the same as Funko POPs.
I ended up getting into S.H.Figuarts instead. Their Kinnikuman line was amazing, and the Dragon Ball lines going from strength to strength with all the recent reveals!!
-
I really really don't like Funko POPs, but imo Nendoroid are the cute chibi concept done well. While all having roughly the same size they all still represent the respective character pretty well.
I bought Roy Mustang and Morgana at a convention this weekend. I like them a lot, though Mustang has a little bump in his hair that I find a bit annoying.

For those interested, I posted a review of the new custom Ginyu SHF figure:
-
I just found out that Bellfine is making a Asui Tsuyu Figure and the Prototype looks absolutely awesome! It might be the first time i'm willing to pay more than 100 Euro for a figure.
I've been waiting for more than 2 years now and finally some more Bnha-figures are apparently being made. Does anyone know why it took so long? -

I've been waiting for more than 2 years now and finally some more Bnha-figures are apparently being made. Does anyone know why it took so long?Dunno, feels like figure companies tend to latch onto a few select series from time to time and produce a shit ton for them (most recent example Re:Zero), while some even real populer series get rather little.
While I like how the prototype of Tsuyu looks, I sadly didn't hear any good things about Bellfine as they apparently put way too high prices on pretty lacklusterly executed figures. But let's wait and see.^^

Yeah i heard that too. I never preorder stuff anyway and would wait for some reviews … But i've waited so long for a Tsuyu figure and i don't think i can be patient enough to wait for the next one. XD
Though i read that another company is making Bnha figures soon. Forgot the name ... Long name with a K. I really want a good Aizawa and All Might too. Hopefully there'll be some new good figures for the 2019 Conventions. -
I think it all comes down to who owns the licenses for the series. I know there was a big hoo-ha with MHA and the Nendoroids at one point. MHA is getting ridiculous amounts of merch but its straps and badges and other cheap stuff which seems to be the popular way to go these days. But I feel that aside from One Piece, Dragonball and Haikyuu we don't see a ton of Shonen Jump merch in general.
Figure companies have it difficult. They have to either predict what will be popular or hope it stays popular for a long period of time. Goodsmile seemed to go all in on Yuri On Ice. Yet vendors can't even shift the Yurio or Yuri Nendoroids because that fandom has now moved on.
Other series however seem to go strong. Girls und Panzer does well for itself still. And I know the likes of Konosuba, Kemono Friends and Re:Zero still seem to do well years later. Of course those have the Waifu effect too so.
The ones that really confuse me and seem like missed opportunites are the likes of Monster Musume, Dragon Maid etc which still get a lot of attention but nobody wants to make figures.
