It was said you need Sharingan to be able to use it like Kakashi did, charging at your enemy to gain momentum so you can stab him. It was also said it was a perfect assassination technique, even though it sounded like 1000 birds chirping in excitement.
In the meantime, the charging to deliver the stab component got lost, and people started stabbing with Chidori without running first.
Besides, what Boruto is using could just as well be a lightning Rasengan, or a Chidori Rasengan. Rasengan can combine with practically anything. :ninja:

Anyway, who gives a shit about the inferior spin-off when the best one—Rock Lee's Springtime of Youth—just had its final chapter translated?! Go read it.
The main story may only have 39 chapters but it's brimful with quality. That 700 chapter spanning spin-off on the other hand…
I'll need to properly re-read this sometime soon.

This'll probably the first and only Naruto movie I'll watch. For all the things that can go wrong with it, I am curious about what the children will do. The spin-off with Salad has proven to be 'okay' so I'll give the movie a chance. As long as it doesn't devolve into yet another Sasuke/Naruto story.
But one thing… please do something about Gaara's hair. I thought Bolt's banana peel hair was bad, but seeing Gaara fully colored in motion is too much.

That was relevant back before when the user had to run to gain momentum so he can stab through his enemy. It's no use if you don't have super eyes which can follow fast movements, in case the enemy gets alarmed by the sound of 100 screeching birds and decides to side step quickly.
But in part 2 Chidori was just used without gaining momentum first so not having Sharingan doesn't mean squat any more.

Wow, Kishi's creativity when it comes to villains and their designs is virtually non-existent. Just a bunch of blobs in all forms and sizes and one guy consisting of Sharingans.
I must've missed Susano'o learning to soar the skies now. Cool, cool.

And again the forced wife and husband exchange between Sakura and Sasuke that is use to try to make it seem that they are a healthy couple. Calling each other husband and wife doesn't erase the fact that their relationship with each other for 12 years was non-existent. Not to mention the fact that Sasuke never bothered to contact them even though he had the means to.In fact the Sasusaku ship shouldn't have happened despite what Kishimoto thinks. Because its kind of idiotic to pine and eventually marry a guy who tried to kill you multiple times. Also the fact that its implied that Sakura and Sasuke haven't even kissed shows the marriage lacks any intimacy. Sakura should have moved on from Sasuke and learn that a crush from your school years doesn't make husband material.

Nostalgia critic tells it like it is. And Sasusaku fans eat it up like it makes up for a lack of good development, the many times he tried to kill her, the weak apology to her, and dumping his kid on her while being away for 12 years. In other words its lazy and bad writing.

But regardless, I'm still gonna call Salad the best thing to ever come out of the Uchiha clan. It might just be the shorter format of this Gaiden, but she snaps out of her "waaaah I don't wanna save the one who raised me as a mother" funk pretty instantly, stomps the Juubi leftovers in the nick of time, and now gets a full "Look! She did something cool!" spread. Plus, i can actually empathize with her emotions, how weird is that for this manga- and for an uchiha no less? -
Nice to see that once again, Sakura is entirely useless. Even her fucking kid is more useful than her.

So… Sarada got Sharingan, Sakura's fighting style and, according to the movie spoilers, will be trained by Naruto (+having Uzumaki traits thanks to Karin genes).
She basically will be the whole Team7 in one person.

I believe we are to assume Sakura was training her. And this generation seems to be incredibly gifted (look at Chou Chou using Bunbun Baika and Inojin using Choujuu Giga before even being gennin) - not to mention that Sakura is probably a teacher much better than Tsunade, based on what we know about them.

I'm gonna say no to that. Regardless of how bad he got at storytelling, Akatsuki were varied and interesting and a lot of the war villains were really fun. He's not as good with designs as he was before, but he can be pretty creative when he wants to.

Oh I figured it was clear that I was talking about his designs now as those are lazy and idealess attempts to make more money. I loved Itachi and Kisame back in the day. Or Haku and Zabuza to name another two villains with simple designs but a certain distinctiveness nonetheless.
Kishi can be creative if he wants to but it's been literally years since we last saw him come up with something good. Honestly? I doubt that side of him will ever return.

I really don't get what they are thinking.
Usually movies follow the anime, never being based on things that weren't animated yet and are still manga exclusive, but in Naruto they already said fuck it to the anime. We already got one movie spoiling the hell out of the anime and we are about to get a second one that just makes that even more obvious. Right now the anime is just something that not even the official sources care about anymore and is just lingering there and Pierrot seems to make everything worse by wasting every chance of riding the hype train.EDIT: And now even the games are already giving the finger to the manga and already including Kaguya, Sarada and Boruto.

Holy crap, it's hard to defend Sakura, especially after a chapter like this. She was completely useless this chapter and even had to be saved. Being saved once, that's ok. The second time wasn't even a save but more Sarada jumping in for her moment to shine. I guess this gaiden is about her and all but still, lol, poor Sakura. She hasn't had a real fight since she fought Sasori.
Yes, I know grandma Chiyo helped her but people never mention they helped each other win that fight because Sasori threw the fight.

Sasuke legitimately tried to kill Sakura while the same can't be said for the other way around.
Not the same as the Chiyo and Sakura situation, lol, because they both legitimately fought well together to save one another. Hell, it was Sakura's antidote for Sasori's poison which really helped draw out the fight.
