HLJ has been great to me in the past, prize items or not, even when other people weren't getting their preorders (GLM6, DX Warlords vol. 4.) But I don't really think any business deserves total loyalty, if they screw up once or a few times it's totally reasonable to ditch them - especially in a hobby like this where the items are already scarce before they come out and may never be released again.
The whole system is kind of messed up if you ask me. Opening preorders so ridiculously far in advance that it's impossible to guess how much stock will actually exist? It shouldn't be "normal" to need to have something preordered on multiple sites. The loooong preview cycle kind of makes sense for POP's, but 6" prize figures? No. And while HLJ has been my main site for a few years now, their obscure system makes it impossible to tell if something actually is - or ever was, or ever will be - in stock.
I think everyone deserves a little blame here…Banpresto for its pointless sales ban, HLJ (and other sites) for taking way too many preorders too far in advance. Just my two cents.
