Dragon's flashback will basically explain everything about the Monkey family and we'll finally know why Dragon decided to oppose the institution his father swore to protect. I am looking more forwad to his flashback than even the Void century.

So basically you are an action-whore.
People really should try to be more cognizant of post dates; you just made a wicked healthy burn, as I believe the kids say, directed at a post from 2010.

Here is a list of backstories/flashbacks that might occur in One Piece. The first thirteen will occur in some way shape or form. Anything following thirteen might not happen.
! 1) Dressrosa History (Kyros/Norland/Dwarves/Toys)
! 2) Doflamingo/Law (Bellamy, to some extent?)(Probably Mixed with Dressrosa)
! 3) Akainu vs Aokiji
! 4) Akainu
! 5) Aokiji
! 6) Blackbeard
! 7) Dragon /Revolutionary
! 8) World History
! 9) Next One or Two Crewmates (Depending on whether Jinbe joins and whether Jinbe has more backstory)
! 10) Kuma/Vegapunk
! 11) Bonney (Her issue with Blackbeard and the World Government)
! 12) Roger Pirates/Roger/Shanks
! 13) Momonosuke/Kinemon
–----------------------------
! 14) X-Drake (Considering he is an ex-marine, his reason for deserting marine might turn out to be important)
! 15) Kidd (Out of all the Supernova, he seems to take the cake as Luffy's main rival; other than that, nothing about his character seems to be involved in the meta plot)
! 16) Tashigi (Definitely unlikely, but if she is Kuina in some way shape or form, I could see her getting a proper flashback)
! 17) Sanji's Second Flashback (Once again, unlikely, but Sanji birth in the North Blue, in contrast to the other Straw hats East Blue and Grandline origins [Aside from Brook], might allow this to happen)
! 18) Moriah (similar to Ace and Whitebeard's flashback at the beginning of Marineford, ends when Moriah and his crew are obliterated at the hand of Kaidou)
! 19) Crocodile (similar to Moriah's, explains Crocodile's history with Whitebeard as well as his secret)
! 20) Enel (Considering that Birka, Enel's homeland, was one of the various groups that descended from the people on the moon, I feel this might just happen)
! 21) Urouge (He is probably a Skypeian; that fact alone might warrant him a backstory)
! 22) Wano History (Not enough information yet, But Wano's disconnect from the rest of society and One Piece's connection with Oda's previous manga, Wanted, would be something interesting to learn about)
! 23) Elbaf History (The Land of the Giants, who does not want to learn more about One Piece's giant)
! 24) Shanks (I feel his history will be revealed in other flashbacks, but one that is individualized just for him might happen)Can anyone think of something I didn't mention.
-
Am I the only one who doesn't want to see the Akainu vs Aokiji fight, its better this way, we can all just have our own personal view of how epic it was without affecting anything
-

Mihawk, definedly. There's no way such important, but void of a character, won't get a backstory. Im thinking at Wano we might see something relating to him.
-
Both Blackbeard and Shanks will eventually get a flashback. For Shanks it will probably be when he and Luffy meet up. I'm hoping Shank's flashback confirms that he and Luffy's first meeting was not by chance.
Blackbeard's flashback will probably be when he and Luffy have their final confrontation. I hope his flashback answers whether he and Luffy are related. Also I want to know why he decided to become a pirate. I know he wanted to find the darkness devilfruit, but he could of found it by joining the marines instead.

Marines are not really into treasure hunting. Therefore a smaller chance if success for bb. Hes one calculating bastardo~

Backstories are some of the best parts of One Piece. Oda's masterful with them.
Nami's my favorite. It was so sad. It also worked in that it gave the most build to, the at-the-time, current events ( i.e. everyone wanted Luffy to kick Arlong's ass after this).
Robin's wasn't that good initially. It was too cliche. But, the stuff with the Buster Call was great. We got to see Aokiji and Akainu's conflicting views on justice. Plus, it explained why she would ally with Crocodile.
Sanji's was the best of the male Straw Hats', IMO. It was emotional without resorting to the role model's death. Zeff's awesome!
Brook's was a close 4th. It worked better in the anime, because we could actually hear the music. Also, it re-introduced Laboon perfectly.
Fisher Tiger and the Sun Pirates was the best non-Straw Hat backstory. It was the best part of the Fishman Island Arc ('cept for Red Hawk). It actually made me sympathize with that monster Arlong. His actions weren't any bit justified but still…
Law's is by far the one I'm looking forward to most. It seems like it's gonna be real depressing and interesting. Hopefully, we'll get it soon.
I liked Romance Dawn and Zoro's too. But, they're the weakest of the Straw Hats' backstories. Usopp's was the 3rd weakest until we learned of Sabo, now it's the weakest after Zoro. Again I like them, but they aren't to the others' standard. But, I have one really big issue with Usopp's: Yasopp. I get that she encouraged him to do it, but he left his very sick wife, and their son, so he could be a pirate. I know it's his dream but that's just being a terrible husband and parent. At least Olivia regretted it and Dragon serves a higher purpose (or has villinaous/anti-heroic qualitites if my theory on him comes true).
-
Law will get one. X-drake might get one. The gorosei maybe. Don't see someone else at the moment. I really dom't beleive in the garp flashback
Eustass Kidd will absolutely be getting one if Law/Drake get one. Oda has gone out of his way to emphasize Kidd's importance in the future, giving him higher bounty than Luffy and his crew members higher bounties than the Strawhats, having him in the center when Kidd/Luffy/Law left the auction house etc.
Someone else who's backstory I'm interested in is Bartolomeo. I'm just going to throw out a guess and say he's related to Kuma, who told him about what he was planning for the Strawhats with Vegapunk, and he blames Luffy for Kuma losing his humanity.

I see no reason to think Kidd will get a backstory. X-drake is a righteous marine who gone rogue-style. We need to know why. And Law is definitly getting a backstory with Dofla.

Kidd is by far the most important Supernova in the future (ignoring Luffy obviously). The only way Oda could make it more obvious is taping a "this guy is an important character" sign to his chest. If Law gets a backstory, Kidd will get one too, period. His character is also much deeper than what we've seen from X-Drake. Some find Kidd to be just some dumb brute who tries to get into the middle of every conflict, but in reality, he's been a philosophical quote machine from the get go, and judging by his demeanor, there is probably some unknown factor motivating him. This isn't even considering Killer, who at this point is also an enigma and huge wildcard. Blackbeard is a good bet to get a backstory eventually as well.

I don't think any back story beats Robins. She lost her family and her people and her entire island. she literally has nothing (except the strawhats) all the other straw hats have someone else
Luffy: Garp (although not very reliable), makino , and Dadan
Zoro: the teacher guy from his village, Johnny and Yosaku.
Nami: Nojiko and the the guy with the whirlygig in his hat.
Usopp: usopp pirates and Kaya.
Sanji: Zeff
Chopper: Kureha and Dalton.
Franky: Iceburg and Kokoro
Brook: LaboonI just don't think Robin's backstory can be beaten in terms of being tragic.
-
I'm personally torn between Robin's and Brook's because being isolated for 50 straight years would mess with any one's mind.
-
Robin AINEC. When Brook's crewmates died, he was an adult who'd been sailing the Grand Line and everyone had already made peace with their deaths, sure being alone for 50 years sucks, but it's nothing compared to what Robin went through. Robin was a 10 year old witnessing everyone she knew being massacred. The latter is far more likely to scar someone for life.
-
Isn't Kuzan looking over Robin for Saul?
Or was that just until she settled with some real friends?
Also BB's backstory should be huge judging by the way Oda drew him as a kid to his current stage.

No…and no.
I wouldn't consider turning Robin into ice and threatening to smash her into bits as a means of "looking after someone"
-
All the people Robin cared about that died were just as prepared to as Brook's crew. Everything she went through was horrific, but to claim it is leagues above Brook's is ridiculous as well. She probably wins the who had it worst award, but Brook is a close second to me. I'm not sure why you had to throw a fit over an opinion.

Kuzan thought Robin wasn't going to be able to change her wretched life style. That's why he used a hug to froze her.
It was kinda like; it's ok to die now and forget the pains of this world. -

Brook was prepared for the possibility of his crewmates' deaths as seen in the song. Robin had no idea what was going on nor the implications of the events at the time. Brook was a 30 year old who understood the intricacies of life Robin was an innocent 10 year old who hadn't even figured herself out yet, she was "forced to grow up" and not allowed a childhood. Brook had a hard time keeping himself occupied. Robin had a hard time staying alive. Brook's backstory would be more comparable to Chopper IMO, both were isolated and wanted to go back into the real world. Sad and tragic, but not brutally scarring. Saying AINEC=/=throwing a fit, I merely don't see how the scenarios are even close.

Not to get in to what I honestly view to be the completely ridiculous practice of attempting to quantify suffering in order to judge who 'has it worse', but I think you are severely, severely underestimating the crushing nature of complete solitude, not to mention just how long fifty years really is. If it weren't likely completely unfeasible, I would urge you to spend an entire day with no form of social contact, and absolutely nothing whatsoever to do, and then just attempt to imagine continuing to do so for eighteen thousand, two hundred and sixty one more days in a row.
That, of course, not even taking into consideration the crushing weight of – as he viewed it -- failed responsibility that he forced himself to carry for all that time. Reducing what Brook faced to him '[having] a hard time keeping himself occupied' simply paints you as having absolutely no conception of the very, very real pain and damage that loneliness and forced solitude can cause.

I think later on we will see dragon's flashback (why he wanted to be a revolutionary founder , the story of luffy's mother ,and why he left luffy)
That's the last piece of Luffy's flashback I thinkAnd personally , I find the flashback with sabo to be pretty boring ,I think it would be better if the flasback were only filled with ace and luffy (so we can really see strong brother bonds)
Well maybe the sabo and kingdom thing were needed to make variation of story ,though
